Such a material would be infinitely reusable or recyclable.1 "Perfect" materials are rare, but in
practice, there are a growing number of green materials that reduce or eliminate negative impacts on
people and the environment. As manufacturers, building professionals, and owners constantly strive
for better buildings, we encourage others in the supply chain to join us in pursuit of a better world.
Incorporating green products into a project does not imply sacrifice in performance, or aesthetics,
and does not necessarily entail higher cost. While one can spend considerably more for green
materials, careful shoppers will find cost–competitive environmentally–preferable options. For
example, a joint US EPA/Army study of more than 2200 paints showed environmentally preferable
options cost an average of $1.76 less per gallon 2 gallon.
Considerations
This booklet offers simple suggestions to help select greener options for a wide array of common
materials, and provides references to resources for more detailed information. For materials not
included in this document, the checklist in the appendix and the sidebars of pages 2–3 can help you
to organize your analysis. The evaluation of materials is based upon three questions: Is the material
renewable and resource efficient in its manufacture, installation, use, and disposal? Does the
material support the health and well being of occupants, construction personnel, the public, and the
environment? The most critical

GE's Imagination Breakthrougs: The Evo Project
The case GE´s Imagination Breakthroughs: The Evo Project is a really interesting case, it talks about
the dramatic change that the company General Electric had to face in order to grow, and the process
that the CEO had to pass in his first years in charge of the company.
It also takes us in the quest of understanding and analyzing one of the main bets of the new CEO
Jeff Immelt, which were the Imagination Breakthroughs, best known as IB's looking at one example
in an specific division of the company, the Transportation branch; one of the many complex and ...

About GE transportation's example, we can see that the strategy came in a good moment, just after
the big failure of AC6000 that happened because they misread the market and developed a product
that was not solving any special need of their customer and was not foreseeing the future of the
industry, that's were EVO project ventures, some say that you can't make the same mistake twice
and certainly with EVO project GE didn't made that because now they achieve to understand where
the industry was going and how they could be the best ones offering a punctual and accurate
solution to the specific needs of the locomotive field. After this, they pretend to go further by
working in the hybrid engine, that offered a really complex system of batteries that storage the
energy produced on breaking to use it as fuel and save big quantities of money and at the same time
reducing considerably the emissions caused by diesel and gas.
Now they face a big decision, they have a big success with EVO engine, and a big project that is just

General Electric Company ( Ge )
General Electric company (GE) is one of the world 's most admired, valuable, and largest companies
in the world. GE is also one of the top five oldest industries in the United States, at a 130 years. This
great American company has been stayed in business because of the many great leaders who have
led the success for GE. Leader 's such as, Jack Welch and Jeff Immelt, have brought many changes
at GE bringing the company into the 20th century. Jack Welch and Jeff Immelt have been very
successful at changing GE and making it a more highly profitable company, due to their leadership
styles and corporate culture. General Electric Company would not be here today, if it were not for
one of America 's most brilliant minds was, American inventor Thomas Edison. Thomas Edison was
a leader that would revolutionize America future of electricity. In 1876, Thomas Edison opened up a
laboratory where had created many inventions we still use today. Inventions such as, the
phonograph, incandescent light bulb and motion picture camera. One of Thomas Edison most
successful invention was in 1879, when he invented the incandescent light bulb. Little did Thomas
Edison know at the time, but his invention of the incandescent light bulb would create a whole new
world of inventions in the field of electricity. In 1890, Thomas Edison founded his company calling
it the Edison General Electric Company. During that time, a major competitor was dominating the

INTRODUCTION
Homelessness is a critical issue that requires everyone's attention. Hundreds of thousands of
homeless people live on the streets as their shelter. Historically, homelessness has always been a
problem in society. Homeless people were known as "the wondering poor", "sturdy beggars", and as
"vagrants," but it was not until the late 18th century that homelessness because noticeable to society.

mouth, depending on generosity of strangers or efficiency of a government agency for your survival,
for your children's survival."
However, one definition worth stating comes to mind. "Homelessness is a condition of detachment
from society characterized by the absence or attenuation of the affiliate bonds that link settled
person to a network of interconnected social structures". The condition of detachment can be
explained as an insecure attachment experience in which a person will develop a working model for
constructing a negative world of himself and the world around him or her. The other important word
worth defining is the establishing of social bonds which can be explained in terms of one's social
networks. (McCarthy, Hagan, & Martin, 2002)
Two other perspectives can also help us underline the issue of homelessness. On the one part you
have the industrialized world and on the other you have the developing world. Homelessness in the
industrial world is explained in terms of a lack of affordable housing, family disintegration, and drug
and alcohol abuse, deinstitutionalization

Brand Building Blocks
BRAND BUILDING BLOCKS
Building Strong Brands: Why Is It Hard?
It is not easy to build brands in today 's environment. The brand builder who attempts to develop a
strong brand is like a golfer playing on a course with heavy roughs, deep sand traps, sharp doglegs,
and vast water barriers. It is difficult to score well in such conditions. Substantial pressures and
barriers, both internal and external, can inhibit the brand builder. To be able to develop effective
brand strategies, it is useful to understand these pressures and barriers
Different factors that make it difficult to build brands are shown in the figure above. The first,
pressure to compete on price, directly affects the motivation to build brands. The second reason, the
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What, then, happens to the people who support the brand with market research or other brand–
building activities? They are vulnerable to the organizations new cost culture.
2. Proliferation Of Competitors
New, vigorous competitors come from a variety of sources. A host of food categories have watched
Weight Watchers and Healthy Choice enter their markets through brand extension strategies. In the
snack category, Frito–Lay has seen regional brands expand and Budweiser 's Eagle brand break out
of its niche to become a major competitor. New product forms that provide real alternatives for the
customer have encroached the soft drink market, bottled water, carbonated water, fruit–based drinks,
and "new age" drinks, among others.
Additional competitors not only contribute to price pressure and brand complexity, but also make it
much harder to gain and hold a position. They leave fewer holes in the market to exploit and fewer
implementation vehicles to own. Each brand tends to be positioned more narrowly, the target
markets become smaller, and the non–target market becomes larger. Efforts to market to a broad
segment thus become more difficult in the face of the complex 'brandscape' Further, some new or
desperate competitors may be motivated to take risks or attempt unusual approaches. The result can
be destabilization of the competitive dynamics. There is also an enhanced motivation to copy
anything that is successful, in part because the risks of

General Electric Decline
General Electric's stock prices had been on a long decline for several years, which began around the
9/11 terrorist attack. General Electric has been called a financial company by several investors and
businesses, and the financial segment of their company is what actually caused a decline in General
Electric's stock prices. Several bad events and disasters have been occurring since the 9/11 terrorist
bombing and life has only gotten worse for the world. Bad events and disasters had hurt General
Electric immensely, as General Electric's financial segment, or GE Capital, was heavily reliant on
insurance profits. With all the bad events occurring, General Electric was having to give insurance
payments back to the people who needed it, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Immelt is trying to hire new young employees that know about technology and can easily learn how
to use newer technology. General Electric is still working out issues with GE Capital and Immelt is
continuing to remove problem segments from GE Capital. Immelt has declared that ideally only $10
billion of GE's revenue should come from its financial departments, and that most of the revenue
will come from General Electric's other important departments, such as GE Aviation, GE Oil & Gas,
and GE Power. One of the largest initiatives that General Electric is currently taking is what they
call "Industrial Internet." The "Industrial Internet" is a term that General Electric uses to "[refer] to
the integration of complex physical machinery with networked sensors and software." Basically, the
"Industrial Internet" is using electrical sensors and software from the internet and adapting it to
machines, an example of a product, made by another company, that would have used the term
"Industrial Internet" is the "google smartcar." An important issue within General Electric is that
upper level employees are making millions of dollars, while workers don't receive so much. In 2014,
Jeffrey Immelt pocketed about $48.9 million and increased his salary by 8.2% to $3.8 million. So,
one of the main issues in General Electric would be the corruption that occurs in the higher level
executive jobs. However, the corruption in the executive level jobs does not affect how well the
stocks do for General Electric, and it should not influence anyone's decision to buy General

I will focus this assignment on high demand foods like fruit and vegetable, dairy produce and meat.
Fruits, vegetables and grains According to the studies conducted by a certified nutrition specialist
Virginia Worthington (2001) an increased amount of several nutrients is present in organic crops
compared with their conventional equivalents. These included: * 27% more vitamin C * 21.1%
more iron * 29.3% more magnesium * 13.6% more phosphorus * 15.1% less nitrates than their
conventional counterparts.
Figure 3
The chart above illustrates the percentage of additional mineral content in organic compare to
conventional crops. However, when the research was carried out the following factors (which are
proven to have an effect on a nutritional quality of the food) weren't taken into account: * Quality of
soil and fertility usage * Storage methods * Forms of food consumption e.g. fresh, steamed, pureed,
cooked from frozen etc. * Climate in different regions of the world (amount of rainfall and sunlight
per day) * The method and timing of harvest
To get a real picture of a difference in a nutritional value of organic via conventional foods, a large
quantity of different origin samples would need to be tested. Findings that take into account the
listed above factors were published in a report "New Evidence Confirms the Nutritional Superiority

Jeffrey R. Immelt Ethical Leader
Jeffrey R. Immelt is an ethical leader which fits the quote,".... leaders are not responsible for making
other people ethical. Rather they are responsible for enabling their organizations to be aware of
ethical meaning and reflect on it as a core part of the organization." Immelt is the ninth chairman of
General Electric a post he holds till now since September 7, 2001 after his predecessor Jack Welch.
Immelt is also nominated, not once but three time by Barron's as "World's Best CEO". Furthermore,
after Immelt is placed in the chief executive officer's position General Electric has won several
names by respected business magazines in the world– "America's Most Admired Company" in a poll

In order to reach six sigma or full efficiency of zero percent defect in all of the countries and all of
the employee within, Immelt shows another value which he possesses, the ability to mobilize
resources, particularly humans. Immelt believes that with the recognition of risks, concise,
communication and strong energy only can he benefit from globalization. With that in hand, Immelt
has accountability and prioritization of business goals in a way that aligns the corporation with
global sustainability ones. Finally, Immelt strives to be honest, trustworthy and transparent to
establish relationships with individuals all over the world. (Sites.google.com/mngmt396jeffimmelt,
2011).
Ethical leadership can be defined in different ways. And also the definitions may include internal
personality of leadership, which are values, traits and behaviours. Furthermore, ethical leadership
can describe the features of motives and behaviour (Yukl, 2010). Ethical leadership is the leaders
who have the good behaviour and performance and the right morals. Moreover, ethical leaders
manage and organize performance, morals, and points of view into the culture of companies
(Freeman and Steward, 2006).
The 3 distinct characteristic which Immelt possesses are empowerment of people to lead,

Crime Scene Investigations: Jeffery R. Macdonald Twin...
Crime Scene Investigations involve the identification of unknown suspects, witnesses and victims.
They respond to crime scenes to detect, preserve, document, impound and collect physical evidence.
1 This report will give details about the Jeffery R. MacDonald triple murder case, which took place
in officer's quarters at U.S. Army base Fort Bragg, North Carolina, on Tuesday February 17, 1970. I
will explain what happened, how it happened and what investigators found. If I were investigating
the case, my experience would lead me to follow the guidelines of a criminal investigator.
The story begins with Jeffery MacDonald, born October 12, 1943 in Jamaica, New York.
MacDonald attended Princeton University, Northwestern University (graduated with a Doctor of
Medicine,) and completed his medical residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Jeffery
MacDonald and his wife Colette had two daughters, five year old Kimberly, and two year old
Kristen. The MacDonald's were expecting their first son. Jeffery entered the U.S. Army as a Captain
in the Medical Corps on July 1, 1970. In September he volunteered for Special Forces duty and was
assigned as a group surgeon at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
On the morning of February, 17 1970, at 3:42am, dispatch at Fort Bragg received acall from 544
Castle Drive. The caller, Jeffery Macdonald, stated that medical assistance was needed because of a
stabbing within the residence. The four responding military police officers believed

Organizational Behavior: A look at General Electric
In the history of corporations few companies have demonstrated the staying power and tenacity as
General Electric (GE.). Of the companies that originally appeared when the Dow Jones Industrial
Average was rolled out in 1896 only GE is still doing business today. (General Electric, 2007) GE's
125 year run has not been spotless. GE, like any long lasting organization, has had many ups and
downs. GE's past has at times been glorious and at other times has been dark and manipulative. "GE
traces its beginnings to Thomas A. Edison, who established Edison Electric Light Company in 1878.
In 1892, a merger of Edison General Electric Company and Thomson–Huston Electric Company

The fundamental problem could have been summed up by the idea of trying to squeeze orange juice
from the rind. Individual employees and managers could not keep up and the company was quickly
digging a deeper hole.
By 1988 the problem could no longer be ignored. Jim Baughman, the head of GE's management
development center was charged with the task of correcting the problem. "In a memorable
conversation, Welch and Baughman said to each other, 'Let's find a way to get work out of the
system.'" (Ashkenas, 2002) The innovative system seemed clear: Teams. Teams would help to
reduce the individual work load and get work through the system. The new team approach was aptly
named, "Work–Out."
The "Work–Out" team approach created by Welch and Baughman utilizes small cross–functional
teams that investigate problems. The teams generate ideas and solutions that are presented to the
decision makers in an informal "town meeting" The informal nature of Welch and Baughman's team
approach was created with the clever notion that GE should be run not like a huge conglomerate, but
rather like a small company. The vision (which is still being pursued by GE today) was to create a
team environment that was not restricted by departments, business units or company leadership.
By the mid–1990s it was clear that the "Work–Out" system was having a profound positive impact
on GE. Teams, innovating and working without traditional limitations was saving the company.

General Electric's ( Ge ) Ceo
1. Jeff Immelt, General Electric's (GE) CEO as of September 7th 2001, has made tremendous
improvements to the organizations strategy in terms of the firm–strategy interface and the
environment–strategy interface. The foundation had been set by the "near legendary CEO" Jack
Welch, his predecessor who had been the CEO for 20 years and built GE into a "highly disciplined,
extremely efficient machine that delivered consistent growth in sales and earnings–not only through
effective operations management that resulted in organic growth (much of it productivity–driven) of
5% annually, but also through a continuous stream of timely acquisitions and clever deal making".
Unfortunately, Immelt was faced with numerous difficulties as problem after ... Show more content

Although Welch's strategy was successful during his time as CEO, Immelt became conscious of how
impossible it would be to continue to provide that level of performance by merely continuing upon
the same strategy. Therefore Immelt decided that a change to the firm's strategy would be necessary
for the continual growth of GE.
b. Immelt disagreed with applying the term conglomerate as he preferred to view it as a "well
integrated, diversified company" that had outstanding financial disciplines, practiced sharing top
talent, and possessed unyielding integrity. Having committed to the assets, resources and capabilities
currently at his disposal, he shared his vision of moving into the market of "big, fundamental high–
technology infrastructure industries" where he believed GE would have a competitive advantage due
to its size, and the fact that it could dominate that market because of the high barriers to entry that
would be involved.
c. Immelt believed that despite the need for a shift in strategy, he would build upon the firm's core
elements that have resulted in such a strong success such as the "portfolio of strong businesses,
bound through a set of companywide strategic initiatives and managed by great people in a culture
that was performance driven and adaptive." Immelt understood the importance of this key
constituent as it provided the competitive advantage that is difficult

will be allowed to contribute to all segments of the company and not just their individual jobs. This

The difference in the division are the categories in which they are divided into. GE is divided into
six specific categories: Energy, Capital, Home & Business Solutions, Healthcare, Aviation and
Transportation. GE has also devoted a lot of their focus into Global Growth and Operations. This
division is mainly responsible for international sales and services out the U.S. In order to support all
of its units, GE has included some centralized services in areas such as legal, commercial and public
relations, business development, human resources, finance and global research. In charge of
executing all these strategies and implementing appropriate organizational control processes is CEO
Jeffrey R. Immelt. P&G performs and is divided into four industry based sectors: global beauty,
global baby. Feminine and family care, global fabric and homecare, and global health and grooming.
The company prides themselves over their "unique organizational structure" which offers equal
benefits at a global scale in which are relevant for consumers where their brand is sold. The current
CEO of P&G, Davis Taylor, is a strong believer that the correspondence between the strategy and
the structure of the company is essential. Procter and Gamble constant involvement worldwide has
to deal with globalization of its business therefore having to remain competitive internationally. The
current strategy that incorporates global product structure allows P&G to accordingly mix cost
reductions from the company as well as retain efficient customer responsiveness. By customer
responsiveness, P&G is referring to adapting to local tastes and expectations as they vary nationally

The Struggle of Life and War in Ernest Hemingway’s Writing
Ernest Hemingway was one of the greatest authors of the twentieth century. His simple style, lucid
depictions, and relatable narratives propelled him into a world of literary fame. These unique
attributes are inimitable; Hemingway relates to the reader on a deeper level that even the best
imitators cannot achieve. For this and many other reasons, critics praise Hemingway for the
indefinable work of an exceptional writer. One of his most well–known novels, A Farewell to Arms,
is notorious for its depth into the reality and adversity of war. Hemingway's personal experiences
during World War I are evident in this renowned novel. He uses these tragic familiarities to penetrate
the reader's mind with the grievous effects of war and loss. ... Show more content on

Another great manifestation of this unique writing style is Hemingway's last novel, The Old Man
and the Sea, published in 1952. In this story, Hemingway uses his declarative style to portray deeper
meaning through the characters and their actions. The use of plain words, simple sentences, and
frequent repetition is a style that makes Hemingway such an accomplished writer (Markley 171). "
[Hemingway's] powers of description are not diminished by his taking care to choose such simple
language" (Markley 171). Although many commend Hemingway for his last novel, some critics see
this work as less than great; "The thing that chiefly keeps The Old Man and the Sea from greatness
is the sense one has that the author was imitating instead of creating the style that made him
famous" (Stallman 272). However, Malcolm Cowley describes Hemingway's prose "at its best gives
a sense of depth and of moving forward on different levels that is lacking in even the best of his
imitators" (271). Ultimately, Hemingway's distinctive and original style fashions clear and
meticulous novels.
Later in life, after beginning his writing career, Hemingway's interest in military activities and the
influence of his veteran grandfathers led him to enlist for duty as an ambulance driver for the Italian

How Has the World of Work Changed in Post-Fordism Era

Capitalism is a political, social and economic system subject to periodic instability, change and the

with the unpredictable nature of markets to meet customers' satisfaction. The changes made in

Fordism was prevalent in car manufacturing industry; albeit, its principles were exported around the

This dramatic change can be blamed on fluctuations in the economy, but that's not where it stops.
General Electric has lost 19,000 employees, and also closed 31 plants in America. Immelt has been
criticized for all of this, and even especially so because he was the chairman on President Obama's
Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. The company has 18 other corporate executives, to head

Mr Immelt took over the position as a CEO during September 2001. Right after he took over, the
company faced difficulties which caused the investors to lose confidence in the financial health of

annual profit growth within a given margin. This incident caused him to make changes by unifying
the GE brand around a stronger focus on innovation. Under his control, GE was restructured around

Analysis on the Shift of Business Strategy for Ge Into the...
Question 1: In what ways has Jeff Immelt redirected the strategy of GE?
In 2001, shortly after Jeff Immelt became the CEO of GE, a series of events changed and impacted
the corporate landscape. The immediate challenges that he faced included 9/11, and a subsequent
series of high profile corporate scandals (Enron, WorldCom). In 2008, the financial crisis hit and
had a severe impact on GE's primary growth source, GE Capital causing it to accumulate bad debts
and asset write–downs. These events caused slow domestic economic growth, crisis of confidence
among investors and more global competitors.
Due to the change in environment and the need to adapt Immelt shifted the focus of GE from cost
cutting and deal making to new products, services ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the heart of Immelt's growth strategy for General Electric's was the development of new Growth
Platforms, which could be either extensions of the existing businesses or entire new commercial
areas. Even though Immelts core focus was on organic growth, repositioning to take advantage of
the emerging market trends and opportunities would require acquisition. Then once a new Growth
Platform was identified, GE would build a leading position in those sectors through small strategic
acquisitions and the deployment of its financial, technical and managerial resources.
GE was entering a new generational era, one where technology is at the forefront of growth and
adaptation. Immelt identified Technology as one of GE's major drivers for future growth which was
signaled by his expansion of GE's R&D budgets. He shifted the importance of Technology within
GE by focusing on the R&D projects that offered large scale market potential, reffered to as
"Imagination breakthroughs".
Within this new business environment that GE was facing, customers needs, wants and expectations
of what products can offer them is forever changing. Immelt saw and understood this from the
amount of time spent with customers, and implemented this idea within GE through the IT

Harvard Case Study Analysis
Harvard Case Review and Analysis
1. Jeff Immelt's strategies for GE were solid in a theoretical sense. The company should have been
delivering above–average returns and seen all the positives that he preached about it. The reason this
did not happen and they faced some humiliation in 2008 until 2010 were due to GE Capital. Immelt
thought that they were diversified enough to survive the economic downturn. However this proved
to be wrong. In an interview for BusinessWeek magazine David Magee, author of Jeff Immelt and
the New GE Way, spoke on what was going wrong for GE. He believes that Immelt and GE did not
correctly predict how bad the financial downturn was going to be. By missing that their beliefs that

I agree with what the analysts have said and that the most important thing for GE is to get their stock
prices back up. Immelt is trying to do so without selling GE Capital. I believe that in order to get
their prices back up they need to downsize GE Capital and have less money tied up in assets that are
in this very volatile market, especially real estate. This will help build confidence in investors that
they will not see huge losses if the economy takes another turn for the worst. Until that happens I do
not see GE getting back on track with Immelt's plans of growth and profit. 2. GE's corporate strategy
is one of moderate to high level of diversification. More specifically one that is related linked. Most
people call them a conglomerate or a company made up of very different companies all operating in
different industries. However GE's CEO Jeff Immelt sees it differently. He doesn't see a
conglomerate he sees a company that is diversified over many industries, but one that works
together towards a common goal. You can see that in the way that research and development in one
of their industries is used to improve their product or service in a different part of the company. By
having all of these differentiated industries working together under the name of GE they have been
very successful company. Now the situation is changing. People are seeing GE struggle especially
GE Capital. To make

Abstract
This paper will discuss the code of conduct in place for G.E. It will define the ways in which the
code is adhered to and how the corporate governance is respected and modified. This will define the
principles of a code of conduct per the module and the code of conduct for General Electric will be
defined on how GE delivers its code of conduct and how it is either modified or updated
continuously. General Electric Corporation has a code of conduct in place as follows:

General Electric has the bullet points from above on every business divisions website and the Code
of Conduct for GE in consistent for all their employees. In other words, no adjusted codes based on
various countries throughout the world. This also brings one to believe that employees will sign the
agreement and be held accountable at all levels of the organization as well. It would seem that it
does not allow special privilege as an option to opt out of participating and adhering to their code of
conduct. Supposing one would want to opt out, it would be making a statement that they do not
agree and therefore cannot work for General Electric. There are other codes of conduct for suppliers
and vendors of multinational corporations. GE has various codes of conduct in place for these.

Forensic Felines: How Our Cat Companions Can Crack Cases
For centuries, forensic science has relied on one thing: evidence. That evidence has come in many
different forms over the years; it can be derived from eyewitness testimony, ballistics, fingerprints,
and even DNA. Investigators painstakingly search crime scenes for clues to solve cases, making
sure to check every possible location for a key bit of trace evidence. It is therefore ironic that with
such emphasis on painstakingly capturing every detail of a crime scene, crime scene investigators
too often neglect that which is right in front of them. What could possibly be a part of so many
households turned murder scenes? How could something be so common, yet so neglected by those
in search of evidence? The answer to this question can be found on a sofa, table, or countertop,
staring investigators––sometimes literally––in the face. Yes, this source of evidence is a beloved
companion of families and crazed widows alike: the cat.
Cats, like other pets, are often neglected at crime scenes in order to focus on the more pertinent
details of the case. They are sent away to shelters or family members without a second thought; if
left at the scene, they are perceived as a nuisance and potential hazard to evidence fidelity. Mr.
Fluffernuggets, however, may be hiding a secret behind his unassuming feline facade. Cats can be
an absolutely invaluable source

An Organizing Framework for Interprofessional Global Health Education
Author Name, University Affiliation, Country
Introduction
G lobal health is an extremely complex "... area of study, research and practice that places a priority
on improving health and achieving equity in health for all people worldwide. Global health
emphasizes transnational health issues, determinants and solutions; involves many disciplines within
and beyond the health sciences and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration; and is a synthesis of
population–based prevention with individual level care" (Koplan et al. 2009, 3). Beaglehole and

promoting health for all. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During an intercultural teaching experience in Japan in 2004 to 2005, the author had previous
experience in developing and teaching an international nursing course. These experiences provided
insight into the complexity of global health and the need to bring disparate but related concepts into
a meaningful whole. Redwood–Campbell et al. (2011) described an organizing framework for global
health curricula in family medicine. The aim was to identify and incorporate key educational
elements to achieve desired global health education outcomes. Although the framework guides the
curriculum for family medicine, an expanded framework is needed with an interprofessional focus.
The purpose of this paper is to (a) present an organizing framework for interprofessional global
health courses/curricula, (b) describe the primary and secondary characteristics that are distinct to
global health , and (c) discuss how the primary and secondary characteristics are reflected in the
organizing framework.
The Organizing Framework
Recently, there have been recommendations for the incorporation of systems thinking into global
health. Russell et al. (2014) contended that systems thinking offers the principles and methods
necessary to address existing and future health challenges in global health. Thus, there is
justification for using open systems theory as the basis for the organizing framework which consists
of input, process, output, and a feedback loop. The concepts in

Brand Strategy and Imc
Brand strategy and integrated marketing communication (IMC): a case study of player 's cigarette...
Integrated marketing communication (IMC) is defined as "a cross–functional process for creating
and nourishing profitable relationships with customers and other stakeholders by strategically
controlling or influencing all messages sent to these groups and encouraging data–driven,
purposeful dialogue with them" (Duncan 2002, p. 8). To better understand the real–world
application of IMC, a call has been made for case histories that focus on IMC best practices (see
Duncan and Mulhern 2004, p. 19). In this paper, we provide a case study that demonstrates how one
company––Imperial Tobacco Limited (ITL), which is Canada 's largest tobacco ... Show more

Other authors have related IMC to the decline in perceived effectiveness of television advertising,
which encouraged organizations to divert resources toward a variety of other media (e.g., Duncan
and Everett 1993; Kitchen and Schultz 1999; Rust and Oliver 1994). For the tobacco industry and
companies such as ITL, regulated restrictions on access to different media further compelled them to
seek a variety of nontraditional media. The case study of ITL and the Player 's trademark is
particularly interesting because the legal and political environment facing the firm has seemingly
accelerated its move toward an IMC mind–set and structure.
Conceptually, IMC provides a useful theoretical context for illustrating the image development of
particular cigarette brands, particularly in the context of understanding how tobacco companies
attempt to use recurrent themes and strategies when making the transition from one mode of
promotion to another. We acknowledge that IMC is not simply a multimedia coordinated campaign,
and Duncan and Mulhern (2004) have noted that IMC is more than just tactical consistency, usually
referred to as "one voice, one look." Organizations can achieve an execution that is consistent and
appears to have integrated marketing communications, but the essence of the IMC movement is a
call to make marketing communication more effective through greater tactical coordination anda
strong brand strategy that

Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald's Fight for Innocence
Debated as one of the most misrepresented cases in American legal history, Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald
still fights for innocence. Contrary to infallible evidence, prosecution intentionally withheld crucial
information aiding MacDonald's alibi. Such ratification included proof of an outside attack that
would have played a major role in Jeffrey's case. Convicted for the murders of his wife and two

family. The prosecutor Brian Murtagh told jurors that nothing at the crime scene supported
MacDonald's story of the four trespassers. When the defense asked to see the lab results, the
prosecutor laid saying the documents had nothing to support MacDonald's claims. There was
evidence on the body of Colette MacDonald. She was holding a brown hair in her hand, and it
wasn't Dr. MacDonald's or of their two little girls. It was reported that it was too small to be given to
the government. She also had skin under her fingernails, which was lost and not reported. Colette
also had some black wool in her mouth and on her shoulder. These fibers were misrepresented in

Cocaine Article Summary
Name of the Article: "Context–Processing Abilities in Chronic Cocaine Users"
Authors and their Affiliations: Jessica A. Jones, Kelvin O. Lim, Jeffrey R. Wozniak, Sheila Specker,
and Angus W. MacDonald, III. University of Minnesota.
Publication Information: Psychology of Addictive Behaviors. April 15, 2013.
Explanation of Major Hypothesis:
The researchers were hoping to prove through their experiment that context–processing abilities are
severely hampered by cocaine use and abuse. Scientists have shown the negative effects of drug use
on mental processes and these researchers wanted to more closely examine what is considered
higher–order thinking. Context processing refers to the mental process which allows an individual to
act and understand their environment and to understand their place within that environment, i.e.
their specific context within a location, as well as how they can function within this location.
Research Methods:
Two studies were conducted to determine the cognitive abilities of cocaine abusers. Two groups, one
of cocaine users and one which did not use drugs were both tested and their results directly
compared to find out what link if any there was between context processing and cocaine use. The
first study used an expectancy variable measuring the AX task. These tests were designed
specifically to test the impairment to mental processes which require "bottom–up perceptual and
encoding processes" (Jones 2013, page 1). The

the myriad of products and services that General Electric provides, this slogan gives you a peek into

Contemporary network management systems mainly deal with avoiding network congestion and
frequent service disruptions by effectively handling the traffic dynamics. IP base environments still
don't have efficient system to utilize all the resources and efficient solution for dynamic traffic and
network conditions. So in this article we introduce a efficient traffic engineering and managing
mechanism called AMPLE. This system mainly consists of two components: Link Weight
Optimization (OLWO) and Adaptive Traffic Control (ATC). Link Weight Optimization (OLWO)
component generates maximum IGP path diversity using physical network topology as a input.
OLWO setting of link weights are optimized for maximum path diversity. The next component ATC
comes into the picture based on these diverse paths. ATC can efficiently manage the splitting ratios
across individual routing topologies. ATC does this by monitoring the network dynamics in a short
interval of time. We evaluated the proposed system using real network topologies and found that the
system can effectively handle the unprepared traffic dynamics and it can be used to achieve better

Jeff Immelt 's Administration Style
INTRODUCTION Jeff Immelt 's administration style is strongly not quite the same as that of his
ancestor. His quality is in rousing others by empowering them and relating with them at their level,
in contrast to the intimidating way of work followed by Jack Welch. Notwithstanding both men
being similarly powerful, Immelt 's kin well–disposed general fellow initiative style has made an
altogether different environment at GE and drew acclaim from the positions of his subordinates. In
2001, soon after Immelt took up his new challenge as the CEO of one of the most successful
companies of the 20th century, an arrangement of occasions in a broader sense changed the
corporate scene. Immelt 's prompt test was to deal with the effect of the aftermath of the September
11 assaults and a consequent arrangement of prominent corporate outrages like those of Worldcom,
Enron and some others to name a few. These occasions made critical instability and prompted an
emergency of certainty among financial specialists and fuelled disdain in the group on the loose.
Notwithstanding a sliding offer value, Immelt perceived that dealing with GE 's presentation to the
business cycle would be basic to the association 's long haul soundness (Grant 2008, pp. 317–318).
He tried to console GE shareholders that the occupation of the CEO was not to deal with the offer
value however to deal with the organization for long haul benefit development. To keep up the trust

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Such a material would be infinitely reusable or recyclable.1 "Perfect" materials are rare, but in practice, there are a growing number of green materials that reduce or eliminate negative impacts on people and the environment. As manufacturers, building professionals, and owners constantly strive for better buildings, we encourage others in the supply chain to join us in pursuit of a better world. Incorporating green products into a project does not imply sacrifice in performance, or aesthetics, and does not necessarily entail higher cost. While one can spend considerably more for green materials, careful shoppers will find cost–competitive environmentally–preferable options. For example, a joint US EPA/Army study of more than 2200 paints showed environmentally preferable options cost an average of $1.76 less per gallon 2 gallon. Considerations This booklet offers simple suggestions to help select greener options for a wide array of common materials, and provides references to resources for more detailed information. For materials not included in this document, the checklist in the appendix and the sidebars of pages 2–3 can help you to organize your analysis. The evaluation of materials is based upon three questions: Is the material renewable and resource efficient in its manufacture, installation, use, and disposal? Does the material support the health and well being of occupants, construction personnel, the public, and the environment? The most critical

  • 14. Brand Building Blocks BRAND BUILDING BLOCKS Building Strong Brands: Why Is It Hard? It is not easy to build brands in today 's environment. The brand builder who attempts to develop a strong brand is like a golfer playing on a course with heavy roughs, deep sand traps, sharp doglegs, and vast water barriers. It is difficult to score well in such conditions. Substantial pressures and barriers, both internal and external, can inhibit the brand builder. To be able to develop effective brand strategies, it is useful to understand these pressures and barriers Different factors that make it difficult to build brands are shown in the figure above. The first, pressure to compete on price, directly affects the motivation to build brands. The second reason, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What, then, happens to the people who support the brand with market research or other brand– building activities? They are vulnerable to the organizations new cost culture. 2. Proliferation Of Competitors New, vigorous competitors come from a variety of sources. A host of food categories have watched Weight Watchers and Healthy Choice enter their markets through brand extension strategies. In the snack category, Frito–Lay has seen regional brands expand and Budweiser 's Eagle brand break out of its niche to become a major competitor. New product forms that provide real alternatives for the customer have encroached the soft drink market, bottled water, carbonated water, fruit–based drinks, and "new age" drinks, among others. Additional competitors not only contribute to price pressure and brand complexity, but also make it much harder to gain and hold a position. They leave fewer holes in the market to exploit and fewer implementation vehicles to own. Each brand tends to be positioned more narrowly, the target markets become smaller, and the non–target market becomes larger. Efforts to market to a broad segment thus become more difficult in the face of the complex 'brandscape' Further, some new or desperate competitors may be motivated to take risks or attempt unusual approaches. The result can be destabilization of the competitive dynamics. There is also an enhanced motivation to copy anything that is successful, in part because the risks of ... General Electric has been called a financial company by several investors and businesses, and the financial segment of their company is what actually caused a decline in General Electric's stock prices. Several bad events and disasters have been occurring since the 9/11 terrorist bombing and life has only gotten worse for the world. Immelt is trying to hire new young employees that know about technology and can easily learn how to use newer technology. General Electric is still working out issues with GE Capital and Immelt is continuing to remove problem segments from GE Capital. Immelt has declared that ideally only $10 billion of GE's revenue should come from its financial departments, and that most of the revenue will come from General Electric's other important departments, such as GE Aviation, GE Oil & Gas, and GE Power. One of the largest initiatives that General Electric is currently taking is what they call "Industrial Internet." The "Industrial Internet" is a term that General Electric uses to "[refer] to the integration of complex physical machinery with networked sensors and software." Basically, the "Industrial Internet" is using electrical sensors and software from the internet and adapting it to machines, an example of a product, made by another company, that would have used the term "Industrial Internet" is the "google smartcar." An important issue within General Electric is that upper level employees are making millions of dollars, while workers don't receive so much. In 2014, Jeffrey Immelt pocketed about $48.9 million and increased his salary by 8.2% to $3.8 million. So, one of the main issues in General Electric would be the corruption that occurs in the higher level executive jobs. They respond to crime scenes to detect, preserve, document, impound and collect physical evidence. 1 This report will give details about the Jeffery R. MacDonald triple murder case, which took place in officer's quarters at U.S. Army base Fort Bragg, North Carolina, on Tuesday February 17, 1970. I will explain what happened, how it happened and what investigators found. If I were investigating the case, my experience would lead me to follow the guidelines of a criminal investigator. The story begins with Jeffery MacDonald, born October 12, 1943 in Jamaica, New York. MacDonald attended Princeton University, Northwestern University (graduated with a Doctor of Medicine,) and completed his medical residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Jeffery MacDonald and his wife Colette had two daughters, five year old Kimberly, and two year old Kristen. The MacDonald's were expecting their first son. Jeffery entered the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Medical Corps on July 1, 1970. In September he volunteered for Special Forces duty and was assigned as a group surgeon at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. On the morning of February, 17 1970, at 3:42am, dispatch at Fort Bragg received acall from 544 Castle Drive. Organizational Behaviour: a Look at Ge Organizational Behavior: A look at General Electric In the history of corporations few companies have demonstrated the staying power and tenacity as General Electric (GE.). Of the companies that originally appeared when the Dow Jones Industrial Average was rolled out in 1896 only GE is still doing business today. (General Electric, 2007) GE's 125 year run has not been spotless. GE, like any long lasting organization, has had many ups and downs. GE's past has at times been glorious and at other times has been dark and manipulative. "GE traces its beginnings to Thomas A. Edison, who established Edison Electric Light Company in 1878. The fundamental problem could have been summed up by the idea of trying to squeeze orange juice from the rind. Individual employees and managers could not keep up and the company was quickly digging a deeper hole. By 1988 the problem could no longer be ignored. Jim Baughman, the head of GE's management development center was charged with the task of correcting the problem. "In a memorable conversation, Welch and Baughman said to each other, 'Let's find a way to get work out of the system.'" (Ashkenas, 2002) The innovative system seemed clear: Teams. Teams would help to reduce the individual work load and get work through the system. The new team approach was aptly named, "Work–Out." The "Work–Out" team approach created by Welch and Baughman utilizes small cross–functional teams that investigate problems. The teams generate ideas and solutions that are presented to the decision makers in an informal "town meeting" The informal nature of Welch and Baughman's team approach was created with the clever notion that GE should be run not like a huge conglomerate, but rather like a small company. The vision (which is still being pursued by GE today) was to create a team environment that was not restricted by departments, business units or company leadership. By the mid–1990s it was clear that the "Work–Out" system was having a profound positive impact on GE. Teams, innovating and working without traditional limitations was saving the company. ... Jeff Immelt, General Electric's (GE) CEO as of September 7th 2001, has made tremendous improvements to the organizations strategy in terms of the firm–strategy interface and the environment–strategy interface. The foundation had been set by the "near legendary CEO" Jack Welch, his predecessor who had been the CEO for 20 years and built GE into a "highly disciplined, extremely efficient machine that delivered consistent growth in sales and earnings–not only through effective operations management that resulted in organic growth (much of it productivity–driven) of 5% annually, but also through a continuous stream of timely acquisitions and clever deal making". Immelt disagreed with applying the term conglomerate as he preferred to view it as a "well integrated, diversified company" that had outstanding financial disciplines, practiced sharing top talent, and possessed unyielding integrity. Having committed to the assets, resources and capabilities currently at his disposal, he shared his vision of moving into the market of "big, fundamental high– technology infrastructure industries" where he believed GE would have a competitive advantage due to its size, and the fact that it could dominate that market because of the high barriers to entry that would be involved. c. His simple style, lucid depictions, and relatable narratives propelled him into a world of literary fame. These unique attributes are inimitable; Hemingway relates to the reader on a deeper level that even the best imitators cannot achieve. For this and many other reasons, critics praise Hemingway for the indefinable work of an exceptional writer. One of his most well–known novels, A Farewell to Arms, is notorious for its depth into the reality and adversity of war. (122) Another great manifestation of this unique writing style is Hemingway's last novel, The Old Man and the Sea, published in 1952. In this story, Hemingway uses his declarative style to portray deeper meaning through the characters and their actions. The use of plain words, simple sentences, and frequent repetition is a style that makes Hemingway such an accomplished writer (Markley 171). " [Hemingway's] powers of description are not diminished by his taking care to choose such simple language" (Markley 171). Although many commend Hemingway for his last novel, some critics see this work as less than great; "The thing that chiefly keeps The Old Man and the Sea from greatness is the sense one has that the author was imitating instead of creating the style that made him famous" (Stallman 272). However, Malcolm Cowley describes Hemingway's prose "at its best gives a sense of depth and of moving forward on different levels that is lacking in even the best of his imitators" (271). Ultimately, Hemingway's distinctive and original style fashions clear and meticulous novels. Later in life, after beginning his writing career, Hemingway's interest in military activities and the influence of his veteran grandfathers led him to enlist for duty as an ambulance driver for the Italian Red Cross in the ... • 53. Forensic Science : How Our Cats Companions Can Crack Cases Kevin Ballard–Munn Ms. Wrigley (Enriched) Forensic Science 20 December 2016 Forensic Felines: How Our Cat Companions Can Crack Cases For centuries, forensic science has relied on one thing: evidence. That evidence has come in many different forms over the years; it can be derived from eyewitness testimony, ballistics, fingerprints, and even DNA. Investigators painstakingly search crime scenes for clues to solve cases, making sure to check every possible location for a key bit of trace evidence. It is therefore ironic that with such emphasis on painstakingly capturing every detail of a crime scene, crime scene investigators too often neglect that which is right in front of them. What could possibly be a part of so many households turned murder scenes? How could something be so common, yet so neglected by those in search of evidence? The answer to this question can be found on a sofa, table, or countertop, staring investigators––sometimes literally––in the face. Yes, this source of evidence is a beloved companion of families and crazed widows alike: the cat. Cats, like other pets, are often neglected at crime scenes in order to focus on the more pertinent details of the case. They are sent away to shelters or family members without a second thought; if left at the scene, they are perceived as a nuisance and potential hazard to evidence fidelity. Mr. Fluffernuggets, however, may be hiding a secret behind his unassuming feline facade. Cats can be an absolutely invaluable source ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An Organizing Framework for Interprofessional Global Health Education Author Name, University Affiliation, Country Introduction G lobal health is an extremely complex "... area of study, research and practice that places a priority on improving health and achieving equity in health for all people worldwide. Global health emphasizes transnational health issues, determinants and solutions; involves many disciplines within and beyond the health sciences and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration; and is a synthesis of population–based prevention with individual level care" (Koplan et al. 2009, 3). Beaglehole and Bonita (2010) proposed that global health is a collaborative trans–national research and action for promoting health for all. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During an intercultural teaching experience in Japan in 2004 to 2005, the author had previous experience in developing and teaching an international nursing course. These experiences provided insight into the complexity of global health and the need to bring disparate but related concepts into a meaningful whole. Redwood–Campbell et al. (2011) described an organizing framework for global health curricula in family medicine. The aim was to identify and incorporate key educational elements to achieve desired global health education outcomes. Although the framework guides the curriculum for family medicine, an expanded framework is needed with an interprofessional focus. The purpose of this paper is to (a) present an organizing framework for interprofessional global health courses/curricula, (b) describe the primary and secondary characteristics that are distinct to global health , and (c) discuss how the primary and secondary characteristics are reflected in the organizing framework. The Organizing Framework Recently, there have been recommendations for the incorporation of systems thinking into global health. Russell et al. (2014) contended that systems thinking offers the principles and methods necessary to address existing and future health challenges in global health. Thus, there is justification for using open systems theory as the basis for the organizing framework which consists of input, process, output, and a feedback loop. The concepts in ... • 60. Brand Strategy and Imc Brand strategy and integrated marketing communication (IMC): a case study of player 's cigarette... Integrated marketing communication (IMC) is defined as "a cross–functional process for creating and nourishing profitable relationships with customers and other stakeholders by strategically controlling or influencing all messages sent to these groups and encouraging data–driven, purposeful dialogue with them" (Duncan 2002, p. 8). To better understand the real–world application of IMC, a call has been made for case histories that focus on IMC best practices (see Duncan and Mulhern 2004, p. 19). In this paper, we provide a case study that demonstrates how one company––Imperial Tobacco Limited (ITL), which is Canada 's largest tobacco ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other authors have related IMC to the decline in perceived effectiveness of television advertising, which encouraged organizations to divert resources toward a variety of other media (e.g., Duncan and Everett 1993; Kitchen and Schultz 1999; Rust and Oliver 1994). For the tobacco industry and companies such as ITL, regulated restrictions on access to different media further compelled them to seek a variety of nontraditional media. The case study of ITL and the Player 's trademark is particularly interesting because the legal and political environment facing the firm has seemingly accelerated its move toward an IMC mind–set and structure. Conceptually, IMC provides a useful theoretical context for illustrating the image development of particular cigarette brands, particularly in the context of understanding how tobacco companies attempt to use recurrent themes and strategies when making the transition from one mode of promotion to another. We acknowledge that IMC is not simply a multimedia coordinated campaign, and Duncan and Mulhern (2004) have noted that IMC is more than just tactical consistency, usually referred to as "one voice, one look." Organizations can achieve an execution that is consistent and appears to have integrated marketing communications, but the essence of the IMC movement is a call to make marketing communication more effective through greater tactical coordination anda strong brand strategy that ... • 62. Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald's Fight for Innocence Essay Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald's Fight for Innocence Debated as one of the most misrepresented cases in American legal history, Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald still fights for innocence. Contrary to infallible evidence, prosecution intentionally withheld crucial information aiding MacDonald's alibi. Such ratification included proof of an outside attack that would have played a major role in Jeffrey's case. Convicted for the murders of his wife and two kids, thirty–four years ago, Dr. MacDonald still endures the agony of being accused of killing his family. Even after twenty–four years of imprisonment and several unlawful court hearings, additional documentation continues to up hold Dr. MacDonald's testimony. It happened on a rainy night on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There was suppressed evidence in the case that showed that Dr. MacDonald did not murder his family. The prosecutor Brian Murtagh told jurors that nothing at the crime scene supported MacDonald's story of the four trespassers. When the defense asked to see the lab results, the prosecutor laid saying the documents had nothing to support MacDonald's claims. There was evidence on the body of Colette MacDonald. She was holding a brown hair in her hand, and it wasn't Dr. MacDonald's or of their two little girls. It was reported that it was too small to be given to the government. She also had skin under her fingernails, which was lost and not reported. Colette also had some black wool in her mouth and on her shoulder. These fibers were misrepresented in court. It was told to the jury as blue fibers from his pajamas, later used to convict him. This piece of fiber was relevant because Helena Stoeckly, at the time, had a closet full of black clothes. There was a blue fiber found in her left hand, and it could not be traced to any thing in the house. The same kind of blue fiber was found where Dr. MacDonald reported he was knocked unconscious. The evidence on Kimberly and Kristen was a hair was found under Kimberly's fingernail. It didn't match up with Dr. MacDonald and this piece of evidence was also unreported. • 64. Context-Processing Abilities in Chronic Cocaine Users':... Cocaine Article Summary Name of the Article: "Context–Processing Abilities in Chronic Cocaine Users" Authors and their Affiliations: Jessica A. Jones, Kelvin O. Lim, Jeffrey R. Wozniak, Sheila Specker, and Angus W. MacDonald, III. University of Minnesota. Publication Information: Psychology of Addictive Behaviors. April 15, 2013. Explanation of Major Hypothesis: The researchers were hoping to prove through their experiment that context–processing abilities are severely hampered by cocaine use and abuse. Scientists have shown the negative effects of drug use on mental processes and these researchers wanted to more closely examine what is considered higher–order thinking. Context processing refers to the mental process which allows an individual to act and understand their environment and to understand their place within that environment, i.e. their specific context within a location, as well as how they can function within this location. Research Methods: Two studies were conducted to determine the cognitive abilities of cocaine abusers. Two groups, one of cocaine users and one which did not use drugs were both tested and their results directly compared to find out what link if any there was between context processing and cocaine use. The first study used an expectancy variable measuring the AX task. These tests were designed specifically to test the impairment to mental processes which require "bottom–up perceptual and encoding processes" (Jones 2013, page 1). The ... With the assistance and guidance of savvy leaders, who recognized his ability to lead and influence others, Welch progressed to the position of CEO, where he served from 1981 to 2001. Through this process, Welch elevated himself to one of the most influential business leaders in the world (Wikipedia, 2004). General Electric is a large company involved in a variety of products and services. One of their most memorable slogans is "Imagination at Work" (Van Camp, 2004). With the myriad of products and services that General Electric provides, this slogan gives you a peek into the GE culture. With such a creative machination, GE has continued to regenerate new ideas from its products and services strategy. In order to help leaders embrace this philosophy, all GE managers spend time at a place called the Croton–on–Hudson campus, or, Crotonville, for short. At Crotonville, the extensive training program is infused with informality, a key element put in place by Welch, that sets the pace for instilling the culture (Byrne, 1998). Each member of the organization's management team is indoctrinated into the company's culture. It is on the Crotonville campus that GE leaders are taught that everyone must do whatever it takes to produce. AMPLE: An adaptive traffic engineering system based on virtual routing topologies Manikanthreddy Charabuddi project report submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the degree in master of sciences Fall 2013 under the guidance of Dr. Mais W Nijim Texas A & M University– Kingsville EECSDept MSC192, Kingsville, Texas 78363 Contemporary network management systems mainly deal with avoiding network congestion and frequent service disruptions by effectively handling the traffic dynamics. IP base environments still don't have efficient system to utilize all the resources and efficient solution for dynamic traffic and network conditions. So in this article we introduce a efficient traffic engineering and managing mechanism called AMPLE. This system mainly consists of two components: Link Weight Optimization (OLWO) and Adaptive Traffic Control (ATC). Link Weight Optimization (OLWO) component generates maximum IGP path diversity using physical network topology as a input. OLWO setting of link weights are optimized for maximum path diversity. The next component ATC comes into the picture based on these diverse paths. ATC can efficiently manage the splitting ratios across individual routing topologies. ATC does this by monitoring the network dynamics in a short interval of time. We evaluated the proposed system using real network topologies and found that the system can effectively handle the unprepared traffic dynamics and it can be used to achieve better quality ... • 70. Jeff Immelt 's Administration Style INTRODUCTION Jeff Immelt 's administration style is strongly not quite the same as that of his ancestor. His quality is in rousing others by empowering them and relating with them at their level, in contrast to the intimidating way of work followed by Jack Welch. Notwithstanding both men being similarly powerful, Immelt 's kin well–disposed general fellow initiative style has made an altogether different environment at GE and drew acclaim from the positions of his subordinates. In 2001, soon after Immelt took up his new challenge as the CEO of one of the most successful companies of the 20th century, an arrangement of occasions in a broader sense changed the corporate scene. Immelt 's prompt test was to deal with the effect of the aftermath of the September 11 assaults and a consequent arrangement of prominent corporate outrages like those of Worldcom, Enron and some others to name a few. These occasions made critical instability and prompted an emergency of certainty among financial specialists and fuelled disdain in the group on the loose. Notwithstanding a sliding offer value, Immelt perceived that dealing with GE 's presentation to the business cycle would be basic to the association 's long haul soundness (Grant 2008, pp. 317–318).
