As such, certain international bodies like the (IASB) International Accounting Standards Board having perceived the need for this revolution, is
spearheading the initiative to harmonize international accounting standards worldwide. This paper seeks to analyze how developing countries
especially in Africa are progressing with the International Financial Reporting Standards adoption and measures they are putting in place to protect
against economic imperialism where they are forced to accept accounting standards with no cost benefit to them, but solely to the proponents of the
standards, which for the most part is the West.

List's Infant Industry Argument Analysis
List was very much influenced by his visit to America. In America, he observed and analyzed the US's development. He was greatly influenced by
Henry Clancy, Hamilton and John Quicny (Selwyn,2014). It was actually written that "Hamilton's (1791) Report of the secretary of the Treasury on the
Subject of Manufactures was the very first attempt to formulate the 'infant industry' argument" (Selwyn, p.g 31,2014). List was the first person to
combat the issues of industrialisation for the late developers of his time US and Germany. List put together the 'infant industry argument'
(shafeaeddin,2005). This argument was put in place as a procedure that would lead and guide less developed countries that were attempting to catch up
with the countries that were already developed. (Selwyn,2014). List's infant industry argument has been built on 5 principles. He believes that countries
go through basic 5 stages of economic development of the nation. They are the savage state, pastoral stage, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

List talks about the German nation as a nation that is united, however, what Marx points out that trying to focus on nationalism does not exclude that
fact that they are class differences within Germany. List represents the German bourgeoisie's as representing the whole nation of Germany though the
German Bourgeois's are more than ready to exploit and oppress the proletariats in their country for profit and wealth. Marx basically puts it in the terms
of, German want the British not exploit the German workers but yet, the German want the freedom to exploit their own workers (Selwyn,

Paper About Mexico
Mexico is a Federal Republic that was established in 1810. It is made up of 31 states and its current president is Enrique PeГ±a Nieto. Mexico is the
southernmost country in North America. It borders The United States to the north and Guatemala and Belize to the south. It covers almost two million
square kilometers which makes it in area the fifth largest country in the Americas and the thirteenth largest independent nation in the world. Population
wise, Mexico has over 120 million citizens which makes it eleventh on the list of population. The capital, Mexico City, is arguably the second most
influential city in both North and South America with a population of over 21 million people. The main language in Mexico is by far Spanish. With
92 percent of its population speaking Spanish, Mexico is the largest Spanish speaking nation in the world. The main religion practiced is Catholicism.

Pros And Cons Of Foreign Aid
Resolve – Wealthy nations have an obligation to provide development assistance to other nations
Foreign Aid Defined:
Simply put, this is the act done by a country or an international organization to help other countries in terms of supplying goods, services and
monetary aid. This can be in the form of military assistance, medical aid, food and training. This can also be given as a form of loan. Moreover,
purposes can vary from fighting poverty to promoting development. Normally, developed countries help developing and under–developed countries.
The earliest foreign aid given to other countries can be dated back to wars between countries, in the form of military aid. Powerful countries helped
war–stricken countries at times of turmoil and chaos. The U.S. is one nation which has been active in sending military troops as allies to invaded
territories in Asia and in other parts of the world for so many years. Nowadays, aid given has transcended to other types of support.

Intro:
Our world is mainly divided into two types of countries – developed and developing (underdeveloped). I opine that while governments of developing
countries are responsible for their citizens, developed countries too can contribute their bit.
PRO VS. CON Pro 1:
To begin with, the world should be considered as a family. Because all the countries share the same natural resources, problems created by one nation
can affect another.

Human Rights Universal List
Human rights, by definition, are rights which are inherent to every human being, regardless of their personal identity. This concept of human rights is
ideal in theory, but often causes debate among people and groups who define which rights are inherent differently. In order to alleviate this debate,
several countries represented in the United Nations defined a universal list of human rights. The list includes concepts of equality, prohibition of
slavery, and prohibition of discrimination. However, the debate of what qualifies as a human right is often still present in legal actions between
separate nations or groups, regardless of the universal list, such as in the case of the Santa Clara Pueblo v Martinez. This case was brought to the ...

Two writers, Felipe Gomez Isa and Tim Murithi, reflect on this topic and claim that, ironic to its purpose, the drafting of the universal list of human
rights was not inclusive to all nations or indigenous groups. Western societies, such as the United States, and those similar to them were dominant in
the drafting process, creating a list of human rights which accurately reflected the beliefs of their societies, but not the beliefs of minority nations
which had either less of a role or no role in the drafting. Under this absence of representation for every group or nation, the "universal" list has proven
to be impossible to accept within societies different from Western culture, such as in the case of the Santa Clara Pueblo. The Native Americans were
considered to be a group excluded from the human rights draft, and therefore, they did not adopt this list of human rights into their society. Without
their own input, the list did not represent their cultural or moral beliefs, but rather the beliefs of the more powerful societies which created them. In
effect, it would be wrong for the United States court system to force their view of human rights onto the Native Americans who haven't accepted the
universal list as their

Interest Groups Summary
According to Chapter 9 of Patterns of Democracy by Arend Lijphart titled Interest Groups: Pluralism versus corporatism, the author sought to explain
the fifth and last difference between majoritarian and consensus democracy in terms of interest groups. Majoritarian democracies tend to have
pluralism tendencies insofar as interest groups while consensus democracies tend to have corporatism tendency. Below, the chapter's detailed analysis
of the subject matter will be extensively be judged. The strength, the weaknesses and suggestions on how those weaknesses could have been prevented
will be discussed. The author effectively provided scholars from both sides of an argument. The effects of corporatism on economic conditions is one

Syrian Refugees Should Be Banned
Why should I as an African American be alarmed by the "Muslim Ban" or welcome the Syrian Refugees into the United States? Many people fear
America only getting worse under Trump's administration, so if that was the case would these Muslim majority countries accept us African Americans?
Keep in mind that the United States is not the only country that has rejected refugees from Syria in recent years. Numerous countries in Europe and the
Middle East have refused to accept what would undoubtedly become a burden to any country. In my opinion this is not a Muslim ban as the media
like to refer to it as. There are countless factors involved and it does not simply boil down to religion. If this order was based on religion, then the visa
ban would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The UK and other wealthy nations in Europe have resettled less than 2% of Syrian refugees. Only around 5,500 Syrians had been granted asylum or
refugee status in Britain since the conflict began in 2011. The United States should not be criticized for doing what every other country should be
doing, which is looking out for our interests. Especially when other wealthy nations and even majority Muslim neighbors to Syria refuse to accept
Syrian refugees. I know this is might be an unpopular opinion or viewpoint but I was not as outraged as other African Americans about this executive
order. There is this rhetoric that I should be equally as alarmed as the groups that are being affected by this policy. That while it may not affect me
directly, somehow after targeting illegal immigrants and Muslim immigrants, African Americans are "next in line". This does not make much sense to
me because in my opinion, being Black in America means we are always under attack. This has been nonstop since my ancestors' step foot off the slave
ship, and throughout the years both the Hispanic and Arab/middle eastern communities have been silent. Why should I try to defend those who never

The Importance Of Global Poverty In Africa
Africa is one of the first countries that come to mind when you think of global poverty. Many places in Africa can be found on the global poverty
list, such as Malawi, Burundi, and Madagascar. "Malawi has GDP per capita of $226.50...Holding a population of 16 million while also being of the
smallest..." ("Top 10 Poorest Countries in the World–2017 List" 2017) Malawi is considered to be the weakest nation, it suffers the most. From lacking
a decent education to the standards of living conditions. Burundi on another hand has a "GDP per capita of $267.10... Aside from the estimated
300,000 civilian casualties resulting in a 67 percent, poverty rate, the violent political rivalries were also detrimental to Burundi's agricultural
development." ("Top 10 Poorest Countries in the World–2017 List" 2017) With Burundi being the second on the list of ten countries listed, they are
struggling because they are lacking consistent weather and sustainable land. Last but not least, Madagascar is the sixth on the list and has a "GDP per
capita of $463.00". ("Top 10 Poorest Countries in the World–2017 List" 2017) The ability to live on the island is basically nonexistent being as they
lack many of the necessities needed to live. If the poorer people feel the support of the people around them they will start being able to help themselves.
Another country that is in a really bad condition is Asia, "According to World Bank's report in 2016, of the 766 million extremely poor who live below

Chestnut Ridge Case Essay
Management (or Decision) Problem The board at Chestnut Ridge Country Club are concerned that they have a declining amount of membership
applications. They feel that this cannot be due to any factors outside of their control such as the local economy or change in preferences because they
suspect enrollment remains level at three local competitors, Chalet, Lancaster and Alden country clubs. The board has decided to conduct a survey of
the local country club membership pool to better understand what reasons may be effecting their declining membership enrollments because they
cannot determine any reasons for this to be happening to only them.
Research Problem & Objectives The research firm intends to conduct a survey of the memberships ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Methodology i. Research Design
The research design is casual research. Casual research is used to determine the relationship between two variables such as Chestnut Ridge and the
local country club membership population. It's also used to try and determine the effects of changing one of these variables on the other variable. ii.
Design of Data Collection
The researchers are using the mailing lists obtained from the three local competitors to mail out questionnaires to obtain a roughly 70 to 75 percent
response rate per club. iii. Sample Design & Data Collection
The sampling population for the survey was 87 surveys per country club or roughly 348 surveys mailed out overall. The researchers received 63
usable surveys back from each club meaning a 72% response rate.
Evaluation and Analysis
1.What kind of research design is being used? Is it a good choice?
The firm is using casual research design. With casual research design marketing firms try to determine the relationship between two variables, in our
case the local country club membership base and Chestnut Ridge country club. This research design is also used to try and determine people's
opinions on changing one of the variables or to see what they think needs to be

Is A Climate Fund Necessary?
9. Fair or Foul: Should developed countries be obligated to "pay" for climate change in less developed countries? Is a climate fund necessary?
Oscar Wilde once said, "We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell" (Wilde 2015). In other worlds, we bring upon ourselves our
own demons, and it is usually not until after the damage is done that when even notice how much damage has been done. Climate change is one of
these demons we face, created by our own ambition and our own societal progression. Spanning from the beginning of human civilization, but gaining a
tremendous intensity from the occurrence of the industrialization, climate change is a threat to all of us. "Global atmospheric concentrations of GHGs
have increased rapidly since the beginning of industrialization and now far exceed pre–industrial values as a result of human activities" (Zhang 2009).
Every country, every nation, and every person, will, and is, effected by climate change. So what do we do? What we do is fight, with thedevelopment
of more environment friendly technologies and ways of life. That being said, while every nation agrees that global climate change is a battle we must
all face together, there is a great debate as to who should be responsible to lead the fight in the battle we have created. The debate going is between
developed and undeveloped countries, in regard to whether developed countries should be responsible for funding climate sustaining development in

Organ Donation Solution
About three thousand unnecessary deaths occur each year waiting for an organ transplant that will more than likely never occur because of the
shortage of available organ donors not just in the United States but worldwide.* How are we consciously letting so many people suffer and die
when we can make a change for the better? Organ donors should receive some type of financial compensation for willingly signing up to save a
life because it will help reduce the chronic waiting list, prevent unnecessary deaths and will give a sense of security to donors Thousands of people
are in need of severe organ donations, but the reality is more than half of those people will be placed on a waiting list that will not budge. These lists
include thousands of everyday common people who because of the chronic shortage of organ donors will never see a better time. The United States
government has tried to decrease these ridiculously long waiting list by urging people to register as organ donors ,but honestly no matter how much
we ask people to register we will still fail to shorten the chronic organ shortage. Waiting lists continue to grow, so why not come up with a better
solution? Alternative solutions have obviously not worked, trying out a system of rewarding organ donors with a financial compensation wouldn't hurt
anyone. This system has proven to be effective in other countries. Countries like Iran have created a plan to pay organ donors and they have completely
eliminated the

to operate in many countries and serve many markets (Bird & Mendenhall, 2015). Companies that operate in numerous countries while providing the
same services world–wide as in their home country are called global organizations. An example of one such global organization is Nestle. Nestle is a
food and beverage company that operates in every continent on the planet. They operate in 21 African countries, 26 North, South, and Central

evident that the trending topics related to Nestle are regarding genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and the privatization of water. Genetically
modified organisms have been a nutrition topic of concern over the past decade. Despite scientific consensus to the contrary, consumers remain
concerned about potential health risks of consuming genetically modified foods. The recent trending stories against Nestle are consumers that are
concerned with Nestle's stance on blocking GMO labeling laws. Likewise, consumers are also distraught over the perception that Nestle is selling
water. Many consumers feel as though access to safe, sanitized water should be a human right and water should not be sold, but rather readily

Science In The Public Interest: Lack Of Food Labels
Food labels are an essential tool for any consumer looking to make informed decisions. Yet while labels are useful, food labels are only required to
list information the FDA determines is necessary. Providers are not required to list key ingredients unless the FDA specifically says so; making it
harder for people to make informed decisions if the FDA determines that a piece of information is not important enough to list.
An excellent example of a lack of label information stems from the health issues Americans face with the overconsumption of saturated and trans fats.
The Center for Science In the Public Interest (CSPI), estimated in 2002 that "simply disclosing trans fat on food labels would save between 2,100 and
5,600 lives each year." Despite

Persuasive Essay On Travel Ban
The travel ban is an executive order which was put into place by President Donald Trump's administration on January 27th, 2017. The order was put
into place for our national security to "protect the nation from foreign terrorist entry into the United States." This measure banned travel into the
U.S. for 90 days from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. This obviously sparked an outcry from social media, which caused a
divide among Americans. With a show of hands, how many of you think that the travel ban is actually a ban on Muslim refugees and that it is racist.
Recent polls show that 57% of Americans favor the temporary ban while 33% are opposed to it, and 10% are still undecided. Racism, fascism, and
Islamophobia; these words have all taunted supporters of President Trump and the travel ban. The one thing people don't realize is that the travel ban
isn't banning Muslims from America. Who in the room can name the top 5 countries with the most Muslims. They are Indonesia, India, Pakistan,
Bangladesh and Nigeria. Not one of these countries are listed in the ban. This ban is only for only ninety days, and is aimed at countries who have sent
a large contingency of terrorists to the U.S. The countries selected have active terrorist training camps, and Trump is not the individual who selected
the countries on the list. These countries are unstable, with no reliable vetting procedures. We shouldn't admit people until they can meet our security

Hummels And Karssing: Three Types Of Ethical Behaviors
here are several ways of defining and organizing ethical behavior. Hummels and Karssing (2000) distinguish three types of strategies. In the first
strategy – the compliance strategy – the company develops concrete standards of behavior which are communicated to all members of the organization.
The second strategy – the integrity strategy – does not rely on the compliance of strict rules, but rather on the own responsibility and integrity of the
individual employees on basis of internalized values. The third strategy – the dialogue strategy – pays attention to the expectations of the stakeholders
of the company. This strategy focusses on the responsiveness to the ideas, interests and values of others. During the last years competition in the textile

C&A is also aware that, from a broader perspective, a strict compliance strategy can sometime produce adverse results. Therefore, sometimes C&A

Corruption Of The National And International Level
Introduction
Corruption is the misuse of public resources and office for private gain. However, this definition does not exclude the misuse of resources in corporate
and private corporations. Generally, corruption is perceived to be more widespread in certain countries than others. In particular, the evil ofcorruption is
widely practiced in developing countries. The most important consideration is to understand why this is the usual trend in corruption across the globe.
In a general perspective, different theories have tried to associate this trend in corruption with specific cultural and historical traditions, political
institutions, levels of economic development, as well as government policies. However, there is more to consider in this argument since corruption is
also prominent in countries with histories of British rule, protestant traditions, and less economic development.
During the past three decades, there has been a remarkable expansion in the people's ability to measure the level of corruption. As a result, this has led
to the development of ell–identified, microeconomic of corruption at the national and international level. This essay focused on reviewing causes of
corruption in developing countries in light with these recent advancements. Reviews of less developed countries have revealed that corruption
responds to the standard theory of economic incentive. Furthermore, there is robust evidence that the effect of anticorruption strategies in these countries

The Problem Of Organ Trafficking
Organ trafficking is becoming progressively more common around the world. The donor list becomes longer every day with people in need of a
transplant. There are over 120,000 people in the United States alone on the kidney transplant waiting list (National Kidney Foundation, 2016). People
on the waiting list are having to wait for a live donor (who wants no monetary gain) to donate a kidney, or they are waiting for someone to die.
Nonetheless, many people are unwilling to donate an organ while living, and doing so for money is illegal. "Under 1984 federal law, it is illegal for
anyone to knowingly buy or sell organs for transplant" (Porter & Johnson, 2009, para. 10). The statute in place forbidding organ sales for monetary

The result of someone seeking organs illegally has them going outside of the United States to obtain the organs. As stated in one article, "This gap
between demand and supply has prompted many people in the west with organ failure to seek transplants overseas, often in developing countries"
(Adair & Wigmore, 2011, para. 3). This can be very dangerous as they are trusting other nations to perform their surgeries. The recipient also risks
receiving an unhealthy organ. One effect this has on people is them having to pay more for travel expenses and related medical costs, as insurance
would not cover the cost in foreign countries. Furthermore, the poor are now vulnerable to brokers seeking to make a profit.
The black market sales thenceforth effect the poor as they are exploited for their organs due to their financial situations. Conversely, even if organ
sales were legal, it would be taking advantage of the poor. It is safe to say that the promise of monetary gain would be an attractive option for the
poor to climb out of financial hardships. The poor people's financial difficulties cause them to make judgements they may not have necessarily made
before. "It is a sad indictment of the human condition that wherever there is a market, people will strive to find a profit margin even when this results
in human exploitation" (Adair & Wigmore, 2011, para. 3). Since many poor people are

Globalisation How will Globalisation affect the future? Conclusion References Appendix Introduction Globalisation is phenomenon that came into
practise in the late 80's. A mere word that easily sums up the amplified movement of labour, information, technology and ideas, commodities and
currency across international boundaries that led to the expansion of the global connectivity amongst the population. This connectivity has impacted
and is still altering the foundations of socio–political structures as well as the cultural and economical configurations of nations. In order to analyse
this topic, the impacts of globalisation will be critiqued and compared with data to show how it influences both economically developed and
developing nations and in turn is responsible for being a vital factor in sculpting the 21st century and in the future ahead. Globalisation as an issue in

This will also solve two main criticism made about Starbucks : a too fast growth and a cannibalizing turnover in closely located stores. But still,
Starbucks needs to work on its image which decreased over time, and on product quality, because without a good image, expanding is less effective
and efficient. And finally, since the company is no more limited to acoffee–shop company, it can use its new products as a new internationalization
product, with new strategies as context changes. Quantitative Study This study is based on a ranking of countries based on several different data.
Each country if first ranked based on : (1) Its Human Development Index, (2) Its GNI per Capita (PPP), (3) Its Urban population with number of

Why Are Sweatshops Important In Developing Countries?
Sweatshops, the Essential Elements for Countries and Supply Chains Inexpensive clothing has been the major trend due to the cheap laboring in Asia.
Though we take granted for inexpensive clothes, we know little about how those clothes are made. In some manufacturing factories, people have died
because of the companies' neglects on maintaining buildings, providing equipment for better production and improving the working environment.
Some factories use children for even lower wages. Sweatshops are the manufacturing factories with low wage, long working hours and poor
conditions; they violate human rights and are unethical. Knowing this, should companies stop laboring in developing countries? The answer is no. In
short, sweatshops are necessary parts of supply chains that fulfill the demands for jobs. Because sweatshops provide cheap labor and make
inexpensive products available, those companies should be responsible for the welfare of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since developed countries have employed Chinese laborers and introduced our technology, some areas in China are one of the most industrialized
regions. When considering this fact that these laboring including sweatshops has helped develop the country, it is morally acceptable to think
sweatshops are essential roles in production. According to the World Bank, the Chinese GDP growth annual rate is 6.9% in 2014 in comparison to the
growth rate of –27.3% in 1991 (GDP Growth (annual %)). Despite the rapid increase in the Chinese population, its growth rate has been escalated up
and kept up with the growing population. The current life is more developed than what the older generation used to live in. Severe laboring might
exhaust people back then, but thanks to that, those countries became wealthier and people live in better life. This concludes that although there is a
controversy about Asian laboring, it benefits their future

Another key risk of foreign outsourcing involves social responsibility. Q2. What are the key elements of sociocultural barriers to trade? How can
companies overcome these barriers? Sociocultural differences include difference among countries in language, attitudes and value. Also some specific,
and perhaps surprising, elements that affect business include nonverbal communication, forms of address, attitudes toward punctuality, religious
celebrations and customs, business practices, and expectations regarding meals and gifts. The best way to jump over sociocultural barrios is to
conduct thorough consumer research, cultivate firsthand knowledge, and practice extreme sensitivity. Q3. How has NAFTA impacted the U.S.?
Overall, do you believe that it was a positive move for the U.S.? Why or why not? NAFTA is the treaty that created the free–trading zone among the
United States, Mexico, and Canada. Despite dire predictions of American jobs flowing to Mexico, the U.S. economy has grown significantly since the
implementation of NAFTA. The Canadian and Mexican economies have thrived as well. Other criticisms of NAFTA include increased pollution and
worker abuse. But the full impact of NAFTA–for better or for worse–is tough to evaluate because so many other variables affect all three economies.
NAFTA makes North America formed a more open trade in services market, in many complex and highly

In the article "Spiritual Perspectives on Globalization" written by Ira Rifkin and published by Skylight Paths Publishers in 2003, Rifkin defines
globalization as a fusion of economic level, which encircles all the multinational companies that made possible the capital flows, cultural level, which
encompass the homogenization of culture by the countries that undermine others and individual level, which features the consumerism and boost of
consumer values (Rifkin). Still, globalization may reduce or increase inequality by many impacts. For many people, inequality is the process by which
unfair disparity is shown to vulnerable and invulnerable groups. Specifically, globalization can impact inequality in some developing countries on the
areas of regional inequality, gender wage gap and free trade.
One possible impact of globalization in some developing countries on gender inequality is the closing of gender wage gap. For many people, the
gender wage gap has been an unavoidable influence of globalization on inequality, although some researchers think of the gender wage negatively and
others positively. According to the article "Globalization and Gender Wage Inequality in China" from the library of the University of Oklahoma (OU),
published in 2013 and written by Zhihong Chen, Ying Ge, Huiwen Lai and Chi Wan, the findings of the gender wage inequality that they studied
showed that internationalized businesses in foreign countries, developed or developing ones, gave more

Organ Donation In The United States
There are more than 120,000 people in the United States that are waiting for a life–saving organ transplant each year. Of that number, many are hoping
for one or more of the five organs that can be donated while a person is still alive. Organ donation is the removal of a person's organ or partial organ,
so another person can use it. Donating an organ while alive can save up to eight lives, and it can be done by people donating their organs out of the
goodness of their heart. Unfortunately not all organs are donated for the right reasons. Therefore, the selling of organs should continue to be banned in
the United States because it would result in health not always being the determining factor.

citizens should be allowed to be legally paid for the donation of their organs. Less than 17,000 patients, out of the 77,000 Americans on the waiting lists
for a kidney, got a transplant in 2012. There were 4,903 patients that died while waiting for a kidney (Linde [17]). This shows that there is a big
shortage of organs, but there are other ways to eliminate or at least reduce that problem. For instance, a new algorithm was created that is capable of
matching donors to patients who need a kidney efficiently. It was created by Tuomas Sandholm and Avrim Blum, two computer science professors, and
David J. Abraham, a graduate student in the computer science department. Sandholm and Pranjal Awasthi, a graduate student in the machine learning
department, are working on developing newer versions of the algorithm to better the program. The project has shown that it can work and be effective
in the medical community so far. Ten people successfully received transplants through the chain that started using the algorithm, according to the New
England Journal of Medicine (The Tartan, Carnegie Mellon University). There are other programs like this that can be used to match patients with
organs more efficiently. This could potentially help theorgan donation rate rise due to people realizing how efficient the process can

Quality of Living, for the purposes Mercer's survey, analysis, and city rankings, differs from "quality of life." Unlike subjective assessment of
Quality of life, Mercer's criteria for Quality of Living are objective, neutral and unbiased. It measures the quality of living for expatriates based on

the degree to which expatriates enjoy the standard of living in each host location, factoring in the interaction of political, socio–economic and

List Factors Of Software And It Projects For Specific...
Current Research There has been extensive research carried out and articles written that list factors of software and IT projects for specific countries.
(Nasir, 2011) However, research shows that there is a lack of concrete and aligned content specific to sustainable educational technology systems.
Research on factors that lead to sustainable educational technology systems also lack deep or targeted research. Alexander J. Romiszowski carried out
the most closely aligned study, which focused on factors leading to successful or failed educational technology innovation. However, in this study,
Romiszowski found that, many lists of critical factors were composed of opinions with little supporting evidence by non–practitioners. (Romiszowski,
2004) Throughout the research process, there are number of indirectly related studies and literature that connect to sustainable educational technology
systems and factors that builds a foundation for future research.
In relation to sustainable educational technology, Beborah Lowther and a team researchers, investigated the effectiveness of Tennessee EdTech Launch
(TnETL), which was a technology program development and implemented to meet technology standards set by the No Child Left Behind Act (2008).
The goal of the TnETL was to use trained full–time technology coaches to help teachers develop dynamic lesson that increased students' a technology

What Is Human Trafficking
Tony Kirwan, founder of Destiny rescue, a relief and aid organization for trafficking victims, said that, "We only have 2 choices. Do nothing, or do
something." Nearly 36 million people are trafficked yearly, and в…” of those people are from Asia. A large amount of these victims were
impoverished and were looking for work to support their families, or were trafficked by their own families for money. Human trafficking, mostly child
trafficking, is a billion dollar business, with earnings estimated at 150 billion yearly, in all of it's forms. Human trafficking hasn't and will never be

Human trafficking does benefit and thrive off equality, whether it's social, gender, economic, or racial. In countries with social class inequality, like
India with its caste system, the lower social classes are more likely to be trafficked because the system was already set against them. With that,
women are also more likely to be trafficked, because of the inequality and looming threat of being disposable. These traffickers must have a mean,
act, and purpose to traffick adults, but only a mean and act for minors/children. The mean is the method of transportation, the act is coercion or
forcing, and purpose is what will happen once they are trafficked. Purposes can be sexual exploitation, forced marriage, forced labor, indentured
servitude, and petty crime. Countries are ranked in tiers with tier one meaning full compliance with the preset standards. and tier 3 meaning no effort
put in to comply with standards. The only solution we have to stop trafficking is create more sanctions and stricter penalties for traffickers, let
organizations such as USAID and MCC allow to educate others on what human trafficking is and how to prevent it, and apply more resources or relief
aids to human trafficking victims. By allowing other countries to create their own laws specifically tailored to their culture and

Constitutional Democracy In The United States
The United States of America utilizes constitutional democracy as its form of government. This type of government allows to people of its country to
directly or indirectly make decisions and is based on the principle of equality and freedom and majority rule (Difference Between Monarchy and
Democracy, 2011). In the Unites States, democracy is shaped by a constitution, which allows a clearly defined respect for an individuals and minorities
basic individual rights and liberties, including freedom of speech, the press, and religion, to be protected (ushistory.org, 2017). Although this form of
government does not allow absolute freedom, it leaves room for different types of citizens to compete for leadership positions, express personal
opinions, and to be governed by laws that apply equally to leaders and citizens (Quigley, n.d.). Constitutional democracy is the antitheses of the
arbitrary rule and is character sized by popular sovereignty, majority rule and minority rights, limited governmental powers including punishment and
social control, and institutional and procedural limitations of powers (Quigley, n.d.).

Australia uses Alternative Voting (AV), AV is where voters are asked to rank their preference for the candidates from 1, 2, 3 etc. If a candidate
receives a majority than the candidate wins, but if the candidate did not get the majority than the candidate with the lowest average preference is
dropped than those votes are redistributed to the next candidate with the next highest preference. This keeps on going until there is a majority. Republic
of Ireland uses AVvoting in their presidential voting, similarly British tried to switch to AV in 2011 instead of First

If not the family and relatives of the deceased needs to give consent.
Every day in the United States twelve people die while waiting for an organ transplant list. Even if someone receives an organ transplant there is no
guarantee that it will function properly or if the recipient will survive. If an organ is given to the person at the top of the list who has been on the list
the longest that person is most likely to be the sickest, weakest and generally older than others on the list. When they receive the organ there is no
guarantee that they will survive which would be a waste of a good organ.

Tier 2-List Country Essay
Japan is a Tier 2 Watch List Country, It has earned this designation because it does not fully adhere to the minimum standards for the elimination of

2009, Japan has remained a Tier 2 Watch List Country because it did not enact legislation that would help with the prosecution of human traffickers.
Also, Japan's definition of what constitutes human trafficking falls short of the definition given by international law. However, Japan did increase the

The individuals on the no fly list are people who are suspected terrorists, that are not allowed to fly on a plane, or travel into or leave the United
States. This list was made to prevent terrorists from being on planes, or traveling to other countries to do harm, and other reasons. The question is,
should citizens on the no–fly list be able to purchase guns? Hillary Clinton doesn't think they should be able to, and Donald Trump just wants to lock
away the criminals, and let responsible people purchase guns. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have big voices in this political issue. "Clinton, June
13 (5:14 mark): "And I still am just totally bewildered by the Republican Congress' refusal to block suspected terrorists from buying guns who are on
the no–fly list." (Lori Robertson) Hillary Clinton's opinion is that they shouldn't be able to purchase guns because they could potentially be doing
more harm than good. Clinton also says, "Just what will it take for Congress to overcome the intimidation of the gun lobby and do something as
sensible as making sure people on the terrorist watch list can't buy weapons?" (Heidi Przybyla) Clearly she thinks something needs to be done, and
someone needs to step up and do something about it. As for the other candidate, Donald Trump, says, "If somebody is on a watch list and an enemy of
state and we know it's an enemy of state, I would keep them away, absolutely." (Ontheissues.org) He would say that people on the No–Fly List may not

This paper seeks to analyze how developing countries especially in Africa are progressing with the International Financial Reporting Standards adoption and measures they are putting in place to protect against economic imperialism where they are forced to accept accounting standards with no cost benefit to them, but solely to the proponents of the standards, which for the most part is the West. • 3. List's Infant Industry Argument Analysis List was very much influenced by his visit to America. In America, he observed and analyzed the US's development. He was greatly influenced by Henry Clancy, Hamilton and John Quicny (Selwyn,2014). It was actually written that "Hamilton's (1791) Report of the secretary of the Treasury on the Subject of Manufactures was the very first attempt to formulate the 'infant industry' argument" (Selwyn, p.g 31,2014). List was the first person to combat the issues of industrialisation for the late developers of his time US and Germany. List put together the 'infant industry argument' (shafeaeddin,2005). This argument was put in place as a procedure that would lead and guide less developed countries that were attempting to catch up with the countries that were already developed. (Selwyn,2014). List's infant industry argument has been built on 5 principles. He believes that countries go through basic 5 stages of economic development of the nation. They are the savage state, pastoral stage, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... List talks about the German nation as a nation that is united, however, what Marx points out that trying to focus on nationalism does not exclude that fact that they are class differences within Germany. List represents the German bourgeoisie's as representing the whole nation of Germany though the German Bourgeois's are more than ready to exploit and oppress the proletariats in their country for profit and wealth. Marx basically puts it in the terms of, German want the British not exploit the German workers but yet, the German want the freedom to exploit their own workers (Selwyn, ... • 5. Pros And Cons Of Foreign Aid Resolve – Wealthy nations have an obligation to provide development assistance to other nations Foreign Aid Defined: Simply put, this is the act done by a country or an international organization to help other countries in terms of supplying goods, services and monetary aid. This can be in the form of military assistance, medical aid, food and training. This can also be given as a form of loan. Moreover, purposes can vary from fighting poverty to promoting development. Normally, developed countries help developing and under–developed countries. The earliest foreign aid given to other countries can be dated back to wars between countries, in the form of military aid. Powerful countries helped war–stricken countries at times of turmoil and chaos. The U.S. is one nation which has been active in sending military troops as allies to invaded territories in Asia and in other parts of the world for so many years. Nowadays, aid given has transcended to other types of support. Pro' s Intro: Our world is mainly divided into two types of countries – developed and developing (underdeveloped). I opine that while governments of developing countries are responsible for their citizens, developed countries too can contribute their bit. PRO VS. CON Pro 1: To begin with, the world should be considered as a family. Because all the countries share the same natural resources, problems created by one nation can affect another. • 6. Human Rights Universal List Human rights, by definition, are rights which are inherent to every human being, regardless of their personal identity. This concept of human rights is ideal in theory, but often causes debate among people and groups who define which rights are inherent differently. In order to alleviate this debate, several countries represented in the United Nations defined a universal list of human rights. The list includes concepts of equality, prohibition of slavery, and prohibition of discrimination. However, the debate of what qualifies as a human right is often still present in legal actions between separate nations or groups, regardless of the universal list, such as in the case of the Santa Clara Pueblo v Martinez. This case was brought to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Two writers, Felipe Gomez Isa and Tim Murithi, reflect on this topic and claim that, ironic to its purpose, the drafting of the universal list of human rights was not inclusive to all nations or indigenous groups. Western societies, such as the United States, and those similar to them were dominant in the drafting process, creating a list of human rights which accurately reflected the beliefs of their societies, but not the beliefs of minority nations which had either less of a role or no role in the drafting. Under this absence of representation for every group or nation, the "universal" list has proven to be impossible to accept within societies different from Western culture, such as in the case of the Santa Clara Pueblo. The Native Americans were considered to be a group excluded from the human rights draft, and therefore, they did not adopt this list of human rights into their society. Without their own input, the list did not represent their cultural or moral beliefs, but rather the beliefs of the more powerful societies which created them. In effect, it would be wrong for the United States court system to force their view of human rights onto the Native Americans who haven't accepted the universal list as their ... Below, the chapter's detailed analysis of the subject matter will be extensively be judged. • 8. Syrian Refugees Should Be Banned Why should I as an African American be alarmed by the "Muslim Ban" or welcome the Syrian Refugees into the United States? Many people fear America only getting worse under Trump's administration, so if that was the case would these Muslim majority countries accept us African Americans? Keep in mind that the United States is not the only country that has rejected refugees from Syria in recent years. Numerous countries in Europe and the Middle East have refused to accept what would undoubtedly become a burden to any country. In my opinion this is not a Muslim ban as the media like to refer to it as. There are countless factors involved and it does not simply boil down to religion. If this order was based on religion, then the visa ban would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The UK and other wealthy nations in Europe have resettled less than 2% of Syrian refugees. Only around 5,500 Syrians had been granted asylum or refugee status in Britain since the conflict began in 2011. The United States should not be criticized for doing what every other country should be doing, which is looking out for our interests. Especially when other wealthy nations and even majority Muslim neighbors to Syria refuse to accept Syrian refugees. I know this is might be an unpopular opinion or viewpoint but I was not as outraged as other African Americans about this executive order. There is this rhetoric that I should be equally as alarmed as the groups that are being affected by this policy. That while it may not affect me directly, somehow after targeting illegal immigrants and Muslim immigrants, African Americans are "next in line". This does not make much sense to me because in my opinion, being Black in America means we are always under attack. • 12. In other worlds, we bring upon ourselves our own demons, and it is usually not until after the damage is done that when even notice how much damage has been done. Climate change is one of these demons we face, created by our own ambition and our own societal progression. Spanning from the beginning of human civilization, but gaining a tremendous intensity from the occurrence of the industrialization, climate change is a threat to all of us. "Global atmospheric concentrations of GHGs have increased rapidly since the beginning of industrialization and now far exceed pre–industrial values as a result of human activities" (Zhang 2009). Every country, every nation, and every person, will, and is, effected by climate change. So what do we do? What we do is fight, with thedevelopment of more environment friendly technologies and ways of life. That being said, while every nation agrees that global climate change is a battle we must all face together, there is a great debate as to who should be responsible to lead the fight in the battle we have created. The debate going is between developed and undeveloped countries, in regard to whether developed countries should be responsible for funding climate sustaining development in undeveloped ... Organ donors should receive some type of financial compensation for willingly signing up to save a life because it will help reduce the chronic waiting list, prevent unnecessary deaths and will give a sense of security to donors Thousands of people are in need of severe organ donations, but the reality is more than half of those people will be placed on a waiting list that will not budge. These lists include thousands of everyday common people who because of the chronic shortage of organ donors will never see a better time. The United States government has tried to decrease these ridiculously long waiting list by urging people to register as organ donors ,but honestly no matter how much we ask people to register we will still fail to shorten the chronic organ shortage. Waiting lists continue to grow, so why not come up with a better solution? Alternative solutions have obviously not worked, trying out a system of rewarding organ donors with a financial compensation wouldn't hurt anyone. This system has proven to be effective in other countries. Countries like Iran have created a plan to pay organ donors and they have completely eliminated the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. Nestle Global Strategy Introduction International business has seen a significant surge over the past few decades. Contemporarily, it is now commonplace for large businesses to operate in many countries and serve many markets (Bird & Mendenhall, 2015). An example of one such global organization is Nestle. Nestle is a food and beverage company that operates in every continent on the planet. Despite scientific consensus to the contrary, consumers remain concerned about potential health risks of consuming genetically modified foods. The recent trending stories against Nestle are consumers that are concerned with Nestle's stance on blocking GMO labeling laws. Yet while labels are useful, food labels are only required to list information the FDA determines is necessary. Providers are not required to list key ingredients unless the FDA specifically says so; making it harder for people to make informed decisions if the FDA determines that a piece of information is not important enough to list. An excellent example of a lack of label information stems from the health issues Americans face with the overconsumption of saturated and trans fats. The order was put into place for our national security to "protect the nation from foreign terrorist entry into the United States." This measure banned travel into the U.S. for 90 days from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. This obviously sparked an outcry from social media, which caused a divide among Americans. With a show of hands, how many of you think that the travel ban is actually a ban on Muslim refugees and that it is racist. Recent polls show that 57% of Americans favor the temporary ban while 33% are opposed to it, and 10% are still undecided. However, this definition does not exclude the misuse of resources in corporate and private corporations. Generally, corruption is perceived to be more widespread in certain countries than others. In particular, the evil ofcorruption is widely practiced in developing countries. The most important consideration is to understand why this is the usual trend in corruption across the globe. In a general perspective, different theories have tried to associate this trend in corruption with specific cultural and historical traditions, political institutions, levels of economic development, as well as government policies. However, there is more to consider in this argument since corruption is also prominent in countries with histories of British rule, protestant traditions, and less economic development. During the past three decades, there has been a remarkable expansion in the people's ability to measure the level of corruption. As a result, this has led to the development of ell–identified, microeconomic of corruption at the national and international level. This can be very dangerous as they are trusting other nations to perform their surgeries. The recipient also risks receiving an unhealthy organ. One effect this has on people is them having to pay more for travel expenses and related medical costs, as insurance would not cover the cost in foreign countries. Furthermore, the poor are now vulnerable to brokers seeking to make a profit. Even if someone receives an organ transplant there is no guarantee that it will function properly or if the recipient will survive. If an organ is given to the person at the top of the list who has been on the list the longest that person is most likely to be the sickest, weakest and generally older than others on the list. When they receive the organ there is no guarantee that they will survive which would be a waste of a good organ. Hearts are an example of an organ that needs to be given to the right patient in order for the transplantation to be a success. Generally if a person receives a heart transplant before the age of 55 have a higher potential rate of living ten years after the operation then those 55 and older. A surgical resident at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the leader of the study published in The Annals of Thoracic Surgery stated "There are 2,000 to 2,500 heart transplants a year in the U.S. and many people die waiting. The individuals on the no fly list are people who are suspected terrorists, that are not allowed to fly on a plane, or travel into or leave the United States. This list was made to prevent terrorists from being on planes, or traveling to other countries to do harm, and other reasons. The question is, should citizens on the no–fly list be able to purchase guns? Hillary Clinton doesn't think they should be able to, and Donald Trump just wants to lock away the criminals, and let responsible people purchase guns. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have big voices in this political issue. "Clinton, June 13 (5:14 mark): "And I still am just totally bewildered by the Republican Congress' refusal to block suspected terrorists from buying guns who are on the no–fly list." (Lori Robertson) Hillary Clinton's opinion is that they shouldn't be able to purchase guns because they could potentially be doing more harm than good. Clinton also says, "Just what will it take for Congress to overcome the intimidation of the gun lobby and do something as sensible as making sure people on the terrorist watch list can't buy weapons?" (Heidi Przybyla) Clearly she thinks something needs to be done, and someone needs to step up and do something about it. As for the other candidate, Donald Trump, says, "If somebody is on a watch list and an enemy of state and we know it's an enemy of state, I would keep them away, absolutely." (Ontheissues.org) He would say that people on the No–Fly List may not purchase guns because they could harm the country, or other ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
