2. Different between hearing and
listening
1.Hearing: -The ability to hear, the distance within which
someone’s voice can be heard, an opportunity to explain why
you did, said, or believe something.
2.Listening: -Listening is an art of communication, listening
requires to be cultivated continuously and carefully, as a
mighty barrier of communication as listening is fundamental
to all communication.
3. Active listening tips
• Stop talking
• Show the other person that you want to listen
• React to ideas, not to a person
• Don’t argue mentally
• Listen to how something is said
• Avoid jumping to conclusions
• Put the talker at ease
• Give feedback
4. Different between hearing and listening
Hearing :--- Hearing is one of the senses of a person and it is the
ability to perceive sound by detecting vibrations through an organ
such as the ear.
In hearing, vibrations are detected by the ear and then converted
into nerve impules and sent to the brain.
A person who is unable to hear has a condition know as deafness.
Hearing occurs even in sleep, where the ear processes the sounds and
passes them on to the brain, but the brain does not always react to
the sound.
5. Different between hearing and listening
Listening:-Listening also known as ‘ active listening ‘ is a technique used
in communication which requires a person to pay attention to the speaker
and provide feedback.
Listening is a step further than hearing, where after the brain receives the
nerve impules and deciphers it, it then sends feedback.
Listening requires concentration, deriving meaning from the sound that is
heard and reacting to it.
Listening is a process of communication, where if the person is not listening
it can cause a break in communication with thoughtful attention: give
consideration.”
