VACANCY
SENIOR PROJECT LEADER ENGINEERING
Your position
To assume overall responsibility for building, managing and developing a flexible pool of engineers for Vanderlande
Industries Software Pvt. Ltd (VISPL); facilitate project delivery through deployment of appropriate quality and quantity
of resources in line with project requirements. You will be reporting to the General Manager
Organization
Your profile
You must have a Bachelor Degree and a strong preference to work within a business to business environment;
Work closely with General Manager and Project Manager Engineering to create the manpower requirement
plan and define appropriate mix of freshers vs. experienced engineers for the pool;
15 – 18 years of project delivery experience in a large to medium scale engineering services firm with at least
5 – 7 years of resource management and recruitment experience
Take ownership of equipping the VISPL flexible pool and plan recruitment strategy in conjunction with Human
Resource Manager;
Create onboarding plan for new joinees including orientation and induction training programs;
Institutionalize structured two-way communication and feedback mechanism for new joinees (30, 60 and 90
days feedback periods);
Achieve targets for flexible pool utilization and undertake bench planning to ensure consistent and
competent supply of resources.
Work closely with Project Manager Engineering at the time of project planning to understand flexible pool
requirements; provide inputs for maximizing billability of bench strength
Liaise with Project Leader Engineering to identify and allocate competent resources to a project; ensure
smooth handover of resources to Project Leader Engineering for project deployment
Remain abreast of flexible pool’s performance during the project through formal and structured feedback;
undertake corrective actions if required
Develop appropriate MIS that would capture key operational metrics related to
new hires

Utilization or deployment of flexible pool engineers
Monitor performance and improvement in key metrics on an ongoing basis
Work closely with Technical Manager to review technical competence of flexible pool engineers vis-à-vis
VISPL maturity matrix; identify and bridge gaps through focused training
Identify short term training needs for flexible group engineers based on immediate project requirements;
ensure fulfillment in conjunction with Project Leader Engineering and Human Resource Manager
Review and approve content for induction training for new hires; conduct sessions if required
Evaluate training feedback and monitor post training effectiveness

Ensure that there is smooth flow of information and sharing of knowledge, thoughts and experiences within
the team
Actively drive and encourage the existing culture, core values and policies within the flexible pool
Work in conjunction with General Manager and Human Resource Manager to identify and develop second
line
Take ownership of all administrative matters related to flexible pool while on bench, including leave approval,
time sheets, etc.
Review performance of the flexible pool engineers on a periodic basis as per the Performance Management
policy; obtain inputs from Project Leader Engineering to ascertain performance during project deployments
within the review period
Identify long term development needs for flexible pool engineers based on performance review; ensure that
training and personal development plans of team members are implemented in consultation with Human
Resources
Plan for technical trainings and long term competency development of flexible pool engineers, in
consultation with Technical Manager and Human Resource Manager
Motivate and mentor the employees to excel individually and as a team
Counsel and address grievances of team members through active involvement as and when required
Participate in periodic management review meetings to discuss issues related to project deliveries / topics of
organizational concern
As part of the senior management team, contribute to the organizational growth through inputs on resource
management
Assist in implementation of action plans to ensure achievement of all project deliveries
