3. “ INSPIRATION” Before setting to work on my print production I took inspiration from the genre of the magazine and its sub genre existing magazines, this included looking at forms and conventions of others in order to capture the correct theme for my magazine. With most music magazine genres e.g. dance, classical they offer a wider range of magazines in comparison to musical magazines which I discovered in researching that there are only two main competitors in the official musicals magazine genre, being ‘Broadway’ and ‘InTheater’.
