to think that a family of 6 spends approximately $5,280 each year on frivolous cases in the nation's
judicial system. With each U.S. citizen paying roughly $1,000 on cases of tort, it is obvious that the
system is being abused. Caps in the tort system limit the amount of money a jury can award a
victim. These need to be put in place in order to prevent further damage to the nation's economy and
further abuse to the county's legal system.
Lawsuits of medical malpractice may be the greatest threat to justice in the legal system. Tort cases
are constantly filed against medical practices which cause health care prices to dramatically increase
in states lacking caps. Medical practitioners are forced to undergo an unnecessary amount of costly
tests and procedures in order to defend themselves from frivolous lawsuits. The expenses of these
precautions cause hospitals and other medical facilities to charge more for the care given to the

units we would have to sell to break even, which in this specific case it would be 1,000 fence panels.

heavily invest in something that would seem small–scale to them.
On the other hand, if he markets to small businesses, Dual Pane will more easily be able to keep its
reputation as a quality restoration business. The company likely would not get national recognition,
but it would be easier to franchise to individuals. It would also be easier to manage the relationships
between the franchisor and the franchisees. The main downside to this alternative is the fact that
John would have to charge a much lower price to these franchisees.
Decision
In order to keep its reputation of a small, quality business, Dual Pane will franchise to individuals in
the Massachusetts area. This will, of course, mean that Grayson will have to charge a lower price for
this franchising opportunity, but he will also be able to keep his original vision of being all about
quality. This alternative is much less risky than marketing to large businesses and with the
uniqueness of this machine Dual Pane is practically guaranteed to be a success.

income and employment. Further Burdening Businesses. Obamacare is likely to exacerbate many of
the concerns and costs that are already burdening businesses–particularly small–business owners–in
at least four ways. 1. Higher Health Care Costs. Obamacare does nothing to reduce the continually
increasing costs facing businesses that provide health insurance coverage. In fact, Obamacare's wide
variety of benefit and coverage mandates–combined with new taxes, fees, and penalties–will
increase the cost of providing coverage. The increased costs of health insurance might lead
employers with fewer than 50 employees to drop coverage if they currently offer it, as there is
nothing in Obamacare that would prevent them from doing so. Employers that do offer coverage

has restructured its coverage to exclude the working spouses of its employees. The company expects
this to affect 15,000 employees for an annual savings of $60 million. UPS very clearly cites

The book also talks about the life of a professional. It talks about how life for professionals has
gotten harder with recent business. Small business professionals have to fend off big businesses that
don't care for their customers or care about fair business. Unprofessionalism is commonly found in
bigger business that don't have a strong bond between customers and the staff. Big business just
shuffles people in and out of the store, selling their goods and not caring if it is what the customer
really needs. True Professionals care about their customers, they care about their situation, and what
they like and dislike. The book talks about incentives and rewards programs. Some businesses use

Number of people employed: The number of people varies from country to country. In Uganda the

periodically tested and updated to insure continuous operations. The best practice is to have at least
two geographical locations to prevent a disruption of operations due to a local disaster. The same

provides assurance that data, services, and IT system resources are accessible to all system–related
processes and authorized users on a reliable and timely basis, while protected from denial of service
