Ferrovial (Spain) completes 1.2 billion-dollar refinancing of the NTE
toll road in Texas
Ferrovial, through the NTE Mobility Partners consortium led by subsidiary Cintra,
has completed the refinancing of the North Tarrant Express (NTE) toll road, in
Texas (United States), in an operation worth more than 1.2 billion dollars. Within
the transaction framework, the consortium issued 331.8 million dollars in private
activity bonds (PAB) and sold at a premium that brings the total figure to 400
million dollars. In parallel, it issued 871.1 million dollars in taxable bonds. The
funds are earmarked to refinance the PAB issued in 2009 for the project’s
construction, as well as for early repayment of the original loan granted through the
TIFIA (Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act) federal program.
Thus, the company continues to pursue its strategy of reducing financing costs and
maximizing the efficiency of its assets’ financial structures. The North Tarrant
Express in Texas is a cutting-edge toll road in whose reconstruction NTE Mobility
Partners has invested 2.5 billion dollars. Fully operational since 2014, the project
practically doubled the corridor’s capacity, by including managed lanes over its
entire length. The project encompasses 22 kilometers of the IH 820 highway and
the SH 121/183 freeway linking the IH 35W in Fort Worth with Dallas-Fort Worth
Airport on the route into Dallas.
Executive Commentary
“Figures from the first five years of the North Tarrant Express project evidence
the success of managed lanes,” explains CEO of NTE Mobility Partners, adding
that the system has reduced congestion on the road while improving traffic flow,
even at peak times of day.

Ferrovial (Spain) sells Broadspectrum to Ventia for 303 million euro
equity value
Ferrovial has reached an agreement to sell Broadspectrum, its Australian services
subsidiary, to Ventia as part of the process of divesting Ferrovial Services that was
announced in February 2019. The deal, which covers Broadspectrum’s businesses
in Australia and New Zealand, is for a total of 485,5 million Australian dollar (303
million euro), for the equity and intercompany loans. The enterprise value amounts
of 524,5 million Australian dollar (327 million euro). Broadspectrum and Ventia are
highly complementary businesses. Ventia is a specialist infrastructure services
provider in Australia and New Zealand. Broadspectrum reported 2.738 billion
Australian dollar, (1.684 billion euro), in annual revenues and a backlog worth
6.708 billion Australian dollar, (4.129 billion euro) at 2018 year end. Closure of the
transaction is subject to standard conditions and regulatory approvals. Ferrovial
acquired Broadspectrum in May 2016, including not only its operations in Australia
and New Zealand but also those in the United States, Canada and Chile, which are
not covered by this deal. Following the acquisition, those three territories were
integrated into Ferrovial Services International. Ferrovial expects to book a
negative impact on the transaction of approximately 270 million euro in the fourth
quarter.
Executive Commentary
“Crystallizing this deal represents progress in Ferrovial’s strategic focus on
developing sustainable infrastructure. New technologies, changes in citizens’
habits and the demands of society make it necessary to adopt this focus in order
to continue creating value for our shareholders, our stakeholders and the
communities in which we operate,” said CEO of Ferrovial.

American Airlines First to Launch Mobile App Passport Scanning
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

Solution Description
Checking in for an international flight just got easier as American Airlines launches passport scanning in its mobile app.
American is the first airline to offer passport chip scanning that securely transmits passport information directly from the
Near Field Communication (NFC) chip embedded in the passport. This allows customers to head directly to the gate for
international flights without having their passports rechecked by a customer service agent. Currently, customers
departing on international flights who check in on the app, have their passports rechecked at the airport. This step is
required even if the customer has uploaded a photo of their passport via the mobile app. With this new enhancement, the
customer will be prompted to enter their passport information and then scan their passport with an iOS or Android
device. The app provides easy-to-follow instructions for the process. Mobile passport scanning is the latest in a long line
of new customer features American has implemented to the airline’s app to make travel easier for customers. Other
recent introductions include boarding notifications, Siri shortcuts and a dark mode option. American has also rolled out
additional services to improve the travel experiences, including biometric international boarding, virtual 3D aircraft
tours online, a redesigned self-service kiosk menu that simplifies the check-in process and an improved family seating
approach, which ensures adults and kids under 14, when traveling together on the same reservation, are seated together.

Aeroflot (Russia): Young Traveller magazine wins Media Leader 2019 award

“Aeroflot: Young Traveller”, Aeroflot’s in-flight magazine for children, took first place in the key “Best Magazine for
Customers” category at the international Media Leader 2019 corporate media competition. The awards ceremony was held
in Moscow during the annual Press Service 2019: New Technologies for PR Work conference. Now in its third year, the
Media Leader competition is attended by representatives of both in-house corporate media created for employees, as well as
media designed to attract customers and investors. In 2019, the competition committee received more than 300 applications
across 22 categories. “Aeroflot: Young Traveller” won the prestigious category due to its innovative concept and design.
The magazine is a regular publication distributed on board Aeroflot aircraft, and is aimed at a children's audience – a
priority passenger category for the Russian flagship airline. The magazine uses an accessible and entertaining format to tell
young readers about the kinds of journeys that are made possible by air travel. Young passengers are guided through the
world of travel by two animal characters: a pilot (an Amur tiger named Amur) and a flight attendant (an Amur leopard
named Leia). The choice of animals is deliberate – these are rare species living in the far East of Russia, and Aeroflot pays
special attention to their protection.

Aeroflot (Russia) again named most punctual among leading global and European
airlines in November
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

Aeroflot once again took first place in flight punctuality among the 20 largest airlines in the world in November 2019,
according to a report by leading international flight analytics agency OAG. According to OAG's monthly On-Time
Performance Report, 92.1% of Aeroflot’s flights operated exactly on schedule during the month. Aeroflot outperformed key
competitors and increased its punctuality by 2.3 percentage points compared to its October performance. OAG previously
awarded Aeroflot a five-star rating for punctuality, making Aeroflot the only airline from Russia and the largest airline in
Europe in terms of traffic to receive this rating. Only 10% of participants in the OAG On-Time Performance Star Ratings
program are awarded the maximum rating. Aeroflot has firmly established itself as a global leader in terms of flight
punctuality due to strict adherence to its own rules for air transportation, including regulations about carry-on dimensions,
check-in and boarding time. High levels of punctuality are not only a boost to an airline's image, but have an economic
benefit as well. The more the plane flies, the cheaper the cost per flight hour – and therefore also fares for passengers.
Aeroflot plans to introduce innovations based on modern digital technologies including biometric controls, which will
significantly speed up and simplify pre-flight procedures at the airport.

Air France-KLM accelerates fleet renewal and orders 10 additional Airbus
A350-900s for Air France
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
25
The Boards of Directors of Air France and Air France-KLM have decided on the replacement solution for Air France's Airbus A380s
and approved an order for 10 Airbus A350-900s. With this decision, Air France-KLM is continuing its strategy of rationalizing and
simplifying the fleet. This work has already been partly carried out at KLM, which will ultimately operate a fleet of long-haul aircraft
exclusively made up of Boeing 777 and Boeing 787. The company's pilots being qualified to fly on both aircraft. At Air France, the
upcoming order will bring the number of A350 aircraft expected to 38, three of which have already been delivered. This is a new step in
the deployment of the fleet simplification strategy at Air France. In 2023, Air France's long-haul fleet will consist of 116 planes divided
into four families: Airbus A330 and A350, and Boeing 777 and 787. As at KLM, the expected benefits are greater operational flexibility
and economies of scale, thanks in particular to the reduction of the number of pilot qualifications to three by 2023: Airbus A330 / A350,
Boeing 777 and Boeing 787. These new generation aircraft will replace the Airbus A380s currently operated by Air France and whose
fleet exit will take place by the end of 2022. Their arrival will also speed up the departure of the Airbus A340s in the first quarter of
2021. The Airbus A350-900 combines economic efficiency and environmental performance, with fuel consumption reduced by 25%
compared to previous generation aircraft, i.e. consumption of 2.5 liters per passenger per 100 kilometers. Its noise footprint is reduced
by 40%. The Air France A350-900 has a spacious and quiet cabin and is equipped with the latest generation entertainment systems as
well as a WiFi connection for the comfort of customers.

Russia’s Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) and Aeroflot have worked together to develop a unified approach to pricing of Economy
Class airfares that adheres to anti-monopoly legislation. The new commercial policy will rely on algorithms that set prices based solely on
market terms – first and foremost, demand – without regard to the cost to the airline of operating flights. At any given time all passengers
have an equal opportunity to purchase tickets at the same price. And passengers can select the fare type that includes the service and terms
that they require and not pay for services they do not require. Airline ticket pricing is a dynamic enterprise, changing over time depending
on demand; on average, 70-80% of tickets are sold at prices below the cost incurred by the airline to fly the passenger. This ensures that air
travel is accessible to passengers with a range of incomes. The sale of the remaining seats at higher prices closer to the flight date ensures
accessibility to flights for business travelers as well as for passengers who need to fly at a specific time/date but did not purchase tickets
well in advance. The combination of 70-80% lower cost tickets and 20-30% more expensive tickets allows the airline to recoup its costs to
operate flights as well as offer competitive services. In instances where demand is lower and there is a risk that seats will not be filled,
prices may be reduced, even close to the flight date. This measure allows for increases in the seat load factor – from the actual achieved
level of 80% (average for the year) to an even higher level, which thus increases economic efficiency of fleet usage.

Gibson Energy and USD Announce Joint Venture to Construct DRU at Hardisty Utilizing Innovative
DRUbit™ Technology and Agreement with ConocoPhillips for 50,000 bbl/d of Capacity
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
44
US Development Group, LLC (through a wholly-owned affiliate, collectively USD) and Gibson Energy Inc. jointly announced an agreement to
construct and operate a diluent recovery unit (DRU) near Hardisty, Alberta, Canada. ConocoPhillips Canada has contracted to process 50,000
barrels per day of inlet bitumen blend through the DRU to be shipped by Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern Railway Company to the
U.S. Gulf Coast. USD and Gibson are currently in commercial discussions with other potential producer and refiner customers to secure
long-term, take-or-pay agreements for an additional 50,000 barrels per day at the proposed DRU. USD’s patented DRU technology separates the
diluent that has been added to the raw bitumen in the production process which meets two important market needs – it returns the recovered
diluent for reuse in the Alberta market, reducing delivered costs for diluent, and it creates DRUbit™, a proprietary heavy Canadian crude oil
specifically designed for rail transportation. DRUbit™ is crude oil or bitumen that has been returned to a more concentrated, viscous state that
creates safety and environmental benefits when transported by rail in Canada and the U.S. DRUbit™ is a market access solution that will satisfy
demand for heavy Canadian crude oil on the U.S. Gulf Coast and in other markets at a cost that is economically competitive to the crude oil that
is transported by pipeline. Following separation at the DRU, the DRUbit™ owned by ConocoPhillips will be railed by CP and KCS from the
existing Hardisty Rail Terminal to a new terminal in Port Arthur, Texas under a long-term contract with CP, subject to standard conditions. The
new terminal in Port Arthur will be constructed, owned and operated solely by USD. It will have capability for rail unloading, barge dock
loading and unloading, tank storage and blending, and will be pipeline connected to Phillips 66’s Beaumont Terminal, providing customers
access to a large network of refining and marine facilities. ConocoPhillips will re-blend the DRUbitTM with a variety of diluents to create
higher-value customized blends that better meet the needs of its customers.

Delta (USA) enters offtake agreement with Gevo for 10M gallons per year of sustainable
aviation fuel, creates long-term carbon solution-1
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
Delta’s work to create a sustainable future continues with a long-term offtake agreement under which Delta will purchase 10
million gallons per year of advanced renewable biofuels from Gevo. Sustainable aviation fuels provide significant
environmental benefits because the lifecycle carbon footprint can be up to 75 percent less than conventional jet fuel. Delta’s
agreement with Gevo complements the airline’s recent $2 million investment in Northwest Advanced Bio-fuels, LLC for the
feasibility study of a facility to produce sustainable aviation fuel and other biofuel products in Washington State. The airline’s
investment in sustainable fuel is only one example of Delta’s work to positively impact the environment, maintain its
commitment to carbon-neutral growth and reduce emissions 50 percent by 2050. Powered by inedible, industrial corn products,
or no. 2 corn, Gevo’s patented process separates the sugar from the proteins in the corn product. The sugars are then used to
make the jet fuel, while the proteins are fed to livestock. After capturing and converting the livestock manure into biogas
digestors that can displace fossil-based natural gas, the solids produced are used as fertilizer for the fields, thereby creating a
continuous, renewable manufacturing cycle. The sustainable aviation fuel is expected to be produced upon completion of an
expansion to Gevo’s existing advanced biofuel production facility in Luverne, Minn. and is expected to be available for use by
Delta between 2022-2023.

For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

Global trade enabler DP World has been awarded a 30-year Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concession by the Saudi Ports Authority
(Mawani), for the management and development of the Jeddah South Container Terminal at the multi-purpose Jeddah Islamic Port.
Under the agreement, DP World will invest up to $500 million to improve and modernise the Jeddah Islamic Port, including major
infrastructure development to enable the Port to serve the ultra-large container carriers (ULCC’s), which are considered the world’s
largest mega containerships. Established in 1976, the Jeddah Islamic Port is on the red sea and the largest port in the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia with annual volumes of over 6 million TEU’s. As a crucial link on the world’s busy east-west trade route and the
Kingdom’s main commercial centres, the Port currently handles approximately 60% of the country’s sea-imports and is a strategic
hub that connects East-West cargo. Developing Jeddah Islamic Port will contribute to achieving Saudi Vision 2030 as the project is
considered a key milestone towards achieving the targets of The National Industrial Development and Logistics Vision Realization
Program, one of the Vision’s major initiatives. The concession will also be instrumental in facilitating the smooth and efficient
movement of cargo and greater access to local and international markets. DP World has operated the South Container Terminal on a
lease agreement for more than 20 years. As the main trade destination for Saudi Arabia and one of the Kingdom’s major port
privatisation projects, the new terminal will also have an upgraded capacity of 3.6mn TEU up from 2.4mn TEU, to meet the
expected growth demands of the future, and will provide 1,400 jobs.

Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc.has engaged in long term transport agreements by deploying the world's first
LNG-fueled large coal carriers with; Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha ("NYK") and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd
("MOL") . The vessels are expected to become the world's first LNG-fueled large coal carriers, under the operation
of NYK and MOL, to import coal to Kyuden's coal-fired power plants. The use of LNG fuel is expected to virtually
eliminate sulfur oxides (SOx) emission and reduce approximately 80% of nitrogen oxides (NOx) emission, as well as
30% of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, in comparison with traditional marine fuels. The LNG procured for
Kyuden's thermal power plants will be supplied to the vessels as fuel at the loading facility of Kitakyushu Liquefied
Natural Gas Co., Inc., a 75% owned subsidiary of Kyuden. The three companies contribute to the realization of a low
carbon society by implementation of LNG as an environment friendly fuel which effectively reduces carbon
emissions from marine transport. NYK, MOL, and Kyuden aim to positively collaborate for sustainable marine
transportation of coal, with the reduction of its environmental impact.

Southwest Airlines (USA) To Share Proceeds From Boeing Agreement With

Southwest Airlines Co. reached a confidential agreement with The Boeing Company (Boeing) to compensate Southwest for a portion of
projected financial damages related to the grounding of the airline's Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. In light of this agreement, the Southwest Board
of Directors has authorized a discretionary, incremental profitsharing accrual for Employees, which is tied to the projected reduction in operating
income for annual 2019 due to the MAX groundings. The Company currently estimates this incremental profitsharing accrual to be
approximately $125 million. This incremental profitsharing award will be funded as part of the Company's annual 2019 profitsharing
distribution in 2020, in accordance with normal ProfitSharing Plan policies and Board of Director approval. The Company plans to provide 2019
profitsharing details early next year, including the percentage each eligible Southwest Employee will receive. The Company continues to engage
in ongoing discussions with Boeing regarding compensation for damages related to the MAX groundings. The details of these discussions and
the settlement with Boeing are confidential. While still evaluating the applicable accounting principles, the Company currently expects to
account for substantially all of the compensation as a reduction in cost basis of both existing and future firm aircraft orders, which will reduce
depreciation expense in future years. The Boeing 737 MAX fleet has been grounded since the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) order
was issued on March 13, 2019. Southwest Airlines continues to monitor information from Boeing and the FAA on the impending 737 MAX
software enhancements and training requirements. The airline remains confident that, once certified by the FAA, the enhancements will support
a safe return of the 737 MAX aircraft.

Within the transaction framework, the consortium issued 331.8 million dollars in private activity bonds (PAB) and sold at a premium that brings the total figure to 400 million dollars. • 14. Solution Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable American Airlines First to Launch Mobile App Passport Scanning For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 8 Solution Description Checking in for an international flight just got easier as American Airlines launches passport scanning in its mobile app. American is the first airline to offer passport chip scanning that securely transmits passport information directly from the Near Field Communication (NFC) chip embedded in the passport. This allows customers to head directly to the gate for international flights without having their passports rechecked by a customer service agent. Currently, customers departing on international flights who check in on the app, have their passports rechecked at the airport. This step is required even if the customer has uploaded a photo of their passport via the mobile app. With this new enhancement, the customer will be prompted to enter their passport information and then scan their passport with an iOS or Android device. The app provides easy-to-follow instructions for the process. Mobile passport scanning is the latest in a long line of new customer features American has implemented to the airline’s app to make travel easier for customers. Other recent introductions include boarding notifications, Siri shortcuts and a dark mode option. American has also rolled out additional services to improve the travel experiences, including biometric international boarding, virtual 3D aircraft tours online, a redesigned self-service kiosk menu that simplifies the check-in process and an improved family seating approach, which ensures adults and kids under 14, when traveling together on the same reservation, are seated together.

The awards ceremony was held in Moscow during the annual Press Service 2019: New Technologies for PR Work conference. Now in its third year, the Media Leader competition is attended by representatives of both in-house corporate media created for employees, as well as media designed to attract customers and investors. In 2019, the competition committee received more than 300 applications across 22 categories. “Aeroflot: Young Traveller” won the prestigious category due to its innovative concept and design. The magazine is a regular publication distributed on board Aeroflot aircraft, and is aimed at a children's audience – a priority passenger category for the Russian flagship airline. The magazine uses an accessible and entertaining format to tell young readers about the kinds of journeys that are made possible by air travel. Young passengers are guided through the world of travel by two animal characters: a pilot (an Amur tiger named Amur) and a flight attendant (an Amur leopard named Leia). The choice of animals is deliberate – these are rare species living in the far East of Russia, and Aeroflot pays special attention to their protection. R&R Description
  • 17. R & R Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Aeroflot (Russia) again named most punctual among leading global and European airlines in November For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 10 Aeroflot once again took first place in flight punctuality among the 20 largest airlines in the world in November 2019, according to a report by leading international flight analytics agency OAG. According to OAG's monthly On-Time Performance Report, 92.1% of Aeroflot’s flights operated exactly on schedule during the month. Aeroflot outperformed key competitors and increased its punctuality by 2.3 percentage points compared to its October performance. OAG previously awarded Aeroflot a five-star rating for punctuality, making Aeroflot the only airline from Russia and the largest airline in Europe in terms of traffic to receive this rating. Only 10% of participants in the OAG On-Time Performance Star Ratings program are awarded the maximum rating. Aeroflot has firmly established itself as a global leader in terms of flight punctuality due to strict adherence to its own rules for air transportation, including regulations about carry-on dimensions, check-in and boarding time. High levels of punctuality are not only a boost to an airline's image, but have an economic benefit as well. The more the plane flies, the cheaper the cost per flight hour – and therefore also fares for passengers. Aeroflot plans to introduce innovations based on modern digital technologies including biometric controls, which will significantly speed up and simplify pre-flight procedures at the airport. With this decision, Air France-KLM is continuing its strategy of rationalizing and simplifying the fleet. This work has already been partly carried out at KLM, which will ultimately operate a fleet of long-haul aircraft exclusively made up of Boeing 777 and Boeing 787. The company's pilots being qualified to fly on both aircraft. At Air France, the upcoming order will bring the number of A350 aircraft expected to 38, three of which have already been delivered. This is a new step in the deployment of the fleet simplification strategy at Air France. In 2023, Air France's long-haul fleet will consist of 116 planes divided into four families: Airbus A330 and A350, and Boeing 777 and 787. As at KLM, the expected benefits are greater operational flexibility and economies of scale, thanks in particular to the reduction of the number of pilot qualifications to three by 2023: Airbus A330 / A350, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787. These new generation aircraft will replace the Airbus A380s currently operated by Air France and whose fleet exit will take place by the end of 2022. Their arrival will also speed up the departure of the Airbus A340s in the first quarter of 2021. The Airbus A350-900 combines economic efficiency and environmental performance, with fuel consumption reduced by 25% compared to previous generation aircraft, i.e. consumption of 2.5 liters per passenger per 100 kilometers. Its noise footprint is reduced by 40%. The Air France A350-900 has a spacious and quiet cabin and is equipped with the latest generation entertainment systems as well as a WiFi connection for the comfort of customers. Description

  • 39. Partner Ecosystem Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 30 Russia’s Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) and Aeroflot have worked together to develop a unified approach to pricing of Economy Class airfares that adheres to anti-monopoly legislation. The new commercial policy will rely on algorithms that set prices based solely on market terms – first and foremost, demand – without regard to the cost to the airline of operating flights. At any given time all passengers have an equal opportunity to purchase tickets at the same price. And passengers can select the fare type that includes the service and terms that they require and not pay for services they do not require. Airline ticket pricing is a dynamic enterprise, changing over time depending on demand; on average, 70-80% of tickets are sold at prices below the cost incurred by the airline to fly the passenger. This ensures that air travel is accessible to passengers with a range of incomes. The sale of the remaining seats at higher prices closer to the flight date ensures accessibility to flights for business travelers as well as for passengers who need to fly at a specific time/date but did not purchase tickets well in advance. The combination of 70-80% lower cost tickets and 20-30% more expensive tickets allows the airline to recoup its costs to operate flights as well as offer competitive services. In instances where demand is lower and there is a risk that seats will not be filled, prices may be reduced, even close to the flight date. This measure allows for increases in the seat load factor – from the actual achieved level of 80% (average for the year) to an even higher level, which thus increases economic efficiency of fleet usage. Ensuring these journeys are free from technological roadblocks is the first step to ensure a great experience from the moment of booking, and in every step where airlines interface to serve the customer along the way. • An aligned booking process across the two airlines, with ability to view the product offerings with real-time availability and pricing, as well as choose seats. • For frequent travelers, there is now elite status recognition at the time of travel as well as full earn and spending opportunities between the two airlines. • Customers enrolled in the TSA Pre-Check program will now have this emblem printed on their boarding passes when traveling with either airline – saving time and stress in the airport security line as customers enter, connect or exit the United States. • The airlines’ reservation specialists are now able to access, rebook and reissue tickets using the SkyTeam Rebooking feature, for customers flying with any of SkyTeam’s 18 other members, in a matter of minutes when a customer is impacted by a travel disruption. • For corporate travelers, Delta and Aeromexico introduced the Corporate Priority program, which gives corporate travelers consistent benefits around the world. These benefits include check-in recognition, priority boarding, priority service recovery, denied boarding and downgrade protection. • The airlines can now share passenger information to provide service request consistency with aligned unaccompanied minor and special assistance policies, as well as agreed procedures for animals traveling in the cabin. • A joint operations control center in Mexico City Airport also provides operational excellence and improved service recovery. ConocoPhillips Canada has contracted to process 50,000 barrels per day of inlet bitumen blend through the DRU to be shipped by Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern Railway Company to the U.S. Gulf Coast. USD and Gibson are currently in commercial discussions with other potential producer and refiner customers to secure long-term, take-or-pay agreements for an additional 50,000 barrels per day at the proposed DRU. USD’s patented DRU technology separates the diluent that has been added to the raw bitumen in the production process which meets two important market needs – it returns the recovered diluent for reuse in the Alberta market, reducing delivered costs for diluent, and it creates DRUbit™, a proprietary heavy Canadian crude oil specifically designed for rail transportation. DRUbit™ is crude oil or bitumen that has been returned to a more concentrated, viscous state that creates safety and environmental benefits when transported by rail in Canada and the U.S. DRUbit™ is a market access solution that will satisfy demand for heavy Canadian crude oil on the U.S. Gulf Coast and in other markets at a cost that is economically competitive to the crude oil that is transported by pipeline. Following separation at the DRU, the DRUbit™ owned by ConocoPhillips will be railed by CP and KCS from the existing Hardisty Rail Terminal to a new terminal in Port Arthur, Texas under a long-term contract with CP, subject to standard conditions. The new terminal in Port Arthur will be constructed, owned and operated solely by USD. It will have capability for rail unloading, barge dock loading and unloading, tank storage and blending, and will be pipeline connected to Phillips 66’s Beaumont Terminal, providing customers access to a large network of refining and marine facilities. ConocoPhillips will re-blend the DRUbitTM with a variety of diluents to create higher-value customized blends that better meet the needs of its customers. Description

  • 59. Miscellaneous Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Delta (USA) enters offtake agreement with Gevo for 10M gallons per year of sustainable aviation fuel, creates long-term carbon solution-1 For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com Delta’s work to create a sustainable future continues with a long-term offtake agreement under which Delta will purchase 10 million gallons per year of advanced renewable biofuels from Gevo. Sustainable aviation fuels provide significant environmental benefits because the lifecycle carbon footprint can be up to 75 percent less than conventional jet fuel. Delta’s agreement with Gevo complements the airline’s recent $2 million investment in Northwest Advanced Bio-fuels, LLC for the feasibility study of a facility to produce sustainable aviation fuel and other biofuel products in Washington State. The airline’s investment in sustainable fuel is only one example of Delta’s work to positively impact the environment, maintain its commitment to carbon-neutral growth and reduce emissions 50 percent by 2050. Powered by inedible, industrial corn products, or no. 2 corn, Gevo’s patented process separates the sugar from the proteins in the corn product. The sugars are then used to make the jet fuel, while the proteins are fed to livestock. After capturing and converting the livestock manure into biogas digestors that can displace fossil-based natural gas, the solids produced are used as fertilizer for the fields, thereby creating a continuous, renewable manufacturing cycle. The sustainable aviation fuel is expected to be produced upon completion of an expansion to Gevo’s existing advanced biofuel production facility in Luverne, Minn. and is expected to be available for use by Delta between 2022-2023.
