It is a short distance from a number of historic ancient landmarks such as the
iconic Yuyuan Garden and the world famous Bund on the banks of the
Huangpu River. We are also close to modern attractions such as the East
Nanjing Road and Huaihai Road shopping districts, and the trendy Xin Tiandi
precinct.
Our methodologies have helped students from all over the world, and have
proven amongst the most effective and well received ways of learning Chinese.
We started Inspiration Mandarin in the belief that the existing market can be
better provided for in two critical aspects:

WHAT IS A GROUP CLASS?
Group classes (generally a maximum of 5
students) are highly recommended for all
students where time permits, as the
interaction with fellow students and the
ability to learn from others will enhance your
experience.
PRIVATE CLASSES
WHAT IS A PRIVATE CLASS?
Our private classes are tailor-made sessions
which offer you flexibility and customisation
both in terms of content as well as time.
If you are unsure of your learning needs, we
can also provide advice to help you target
specific areas that will help you achieve
fluency faster.
WEEKEND FLUENCY
In our experience, we have come across many
foreign students who have learnt Mandarin
before, many of whom can both read and
write to a relatively high level or have even
passed HSK Level 3 or Level 4! However,
despite all this study, they still struggle with
their speaking skills.
These students find that although they can
string Chinese sentences together (eventually), it takes them way too long. This

3. becomes especially evident when they are trying to talk to a native speaker,
where they find the pressure of a conversation in real life all too much to bear!
In order to help students speak out loud and confidently in Mandarin, we have
therefore developed a new program at Inspiration Mandarin that we call
“Weekend Fluency”.
PRONUNCIATION CORRECTION
In our experience, many foreign
students have great difficulty in
pronouncing words, particularly in the
early stages. Mandarin is a ‘tonal’
language, with four distinct tones (flat
tone, rising tone, falling-rising tone and
falling tone). This means that the
particular emphasis that you put on a
word can change its meaning, even if
the syntax is the same.
CULTURAL WORKSHOPS
In order to provide a more complete cultural experience, we offer a variety of
activities in addition to Mandarin
language teaching. These courses will
help you learn, understand and to
experience more about China beyond
the classroom walls.

learn how to act appropriately with
their Chinese counterparts, to
foreigners curious to learn all about
the new and exciting world of China
around them， we have a course to suit your needs.

4. Pricing Options
All pricing options assume 2 participants. However, further participants can
join any of the sessions at no extra charge.
Option A – Pay per Session RMB 500 per hour
Each session is for 2 hours in length. This option allows the participants to
choose up to 10 courses at which point a discount applies. See Option B.
Total cost of each 2 hour session = RMB 500 x 2 hours = RMB 1,000.
Option B – 10 Session Package RMB 440 per hour
Each session is for 2 hours in length. However, Option B will see the participant
receive a discount compared to the hourly rate in Option A if 10 sessions are
booked and paid for in advance.
Total cost of a 10 session package is RMB 440 x 2 hours per session x 10 sessions
= RMB 8,800.
