Any diet book will claim to have all the answers to losing and keeping all the weight
you want. Some argue that eating less and exercising more is the key, while others
argue that eating low fat is the only way to go and that carbs should be avoided. So,

While some people respond well to calorie counting or other rigorous weight-loss
approaches, others prefer more flexibility in their weight-loss plans. Avoiding fried
foods or limiting refined carbohydrates will help them succeed.
Don’t be discouraged if a diet that worked for someone else doesn’t work for you.
Also, if you find a diet to be overly restrictive, don’t be too hard on yourself. Finally,
a diet is only beneficial if it is followed consistently over time.

● The key is to eat less. Portion control will enable you to include a treat every
now and then in your diet. She normally advises that even if you treat
yourself once in a while, a tiny portion will satisfy your cravings and keep you
from gaining weight. Anything in excess is bad, including vegetables. Because
our stomachs are only the size of two palms, eat accordingly.

● Pay attention to your body. Don’t starve yourself to lose weight by making
your body feel starved.
● Throw the idea of a ‘dairy-free diet’ out the window unless your doctors or
experts specifically request it. A single glass of milk contains a significant
amount of calcium. CLA, found in dairy products, aids in burning fat from
troublesome areas.
● When it comes to belly fat, which is a major issue for many people, the
answer is to sit less and stay more active.
● Just because you can fit into your jeans doesn’t mean you’ve lost weight. It
could just be dehydration. Choose a healthy diet and give yourself ample
time. Otherwise, you’ll merely be losing weight on the scale.
● Sugar-free is meaningless to Rujuta. Nothing that says sugar-free is truly
sugar-free. Sugar can be consumed in moderation. Coffee/tea should not be
the first thing you drink in the morning, and whenever you do, aim to get a
taste of the beverage with less sugar. Two tiny glasses of tea or coffee each
day should suffice.
● Consume regional foods. To lose weight, you don’t have to go out of your way
to find foreign cuisine.
