Peter's story 7 - en
1.
2. One day a new teacher arrived in a
school. She was very nice and no one
knew anything about her “past”. At
the end of the lessons , when the
school was empty and all teachers
went away from it Peter ,a young
janitor, entered the staff
room to clean it and
saw the new teacher
who was transforming
into a dirty snake.
3. Immediately the young woman ,being conscious that
she had been discovered, transformed herself again into
a snake and said to him : ”before you can
misunderstand I want to explain the truth to you, I'm a
victim of an evil spell which dates back to a trip to
Africa, it made me become a snake ! In order to break it
you should marry me”.
The janitor who was very shy and good,
didn’t have the courage to refuse the
request. So, he took her by the hand and led
her to his house. The snake-woman
presented herself to her future mother-in-
law who noticed the forked tongue of the
daughter-in-law and told the son that
something worried her about the honesty of
the young woman.
4. From that moment Peter thought that his
mother was a witch and began to hate
her. The following days the snake woman
gave the old and wise mother several
hard tasks. Firstly ,she sent her to buy
expensive food so the old and poor
woman was obliged to spend a lot of
money.
Secondly, she forced
her to carry heavy
shopping bags
around the city.
5. After a long quarrel with her daughter-in-
law, the old lady, sad and exhausted, left the
house and went out crying and asking God
for help. At that moment he saw a little girl
who was “dying of cold and hunger”. She
offered the sweet girl a piece of bread and
her woollen cloak. The girl thanked the
sweet woman cheerfully and continued to
walk happily because
she had never met
a woman so kind in her life.
She wasn’t hungry
any more.
