1. To study and demonstrate the growth of children’s knowledge of English during the
project, the original level of children’s knowledge was identified.
How did we do it?
1. A set of words and phrases which children possibly knew or could learn in the future,
was prepared. Total amount – 50 and more.
2. Teacher names a word in Latvian, and child is asked to tell how this word will sound
in English, for some words pictures are shown in order to make the task easier for
children.
Therefore we can conclude that the groups where the teacher sings songs or uses rhymes
every day, the level of children's knowledge is now higher than in the groups in which it is
done 2 or 3 times a week.
