1. Assalamualaikum and good morning. Today,
we want to present a story of…
A Proud Bat
The eagle, who is king of all birds, saw a
little bat crying.
“Why are you crying?”
“ I am verycold.”
The other birds do not feel cold today.
“What is wrong with you?”
“ They are warm because they have
feathers. I only have a few hairs.”
The king of the birds called all the birds
together. The eagle said..
“ I want each of you to give a feather to this
bat.”
So, each of bird gave the bat a feather. The
bat looked very beautiful. She became very
proud. She felt that she was better than the
other birds.
The birds went to see the king. Theytold him
that the bat was now too proud to talk to
them. The eagle sent for the bat and asked
her.
“ Is it true that you don’t want to talk to the
others?”
“ Just look at me! I am so beautiful and they
are all so plain.”
“ Yes, you look verypretty. So, now I will let
them take back their feathers!”
All the birds came and plucked their feathers.
The bat had no feathers at all. The bat was so
ashamed. She hid in her cave each day and
only came out at night.
The moral of the story is..
