sometimes, simple tasks may not be so simple. Saying ‘perso in un bicchiere
d’acqua’ means having difficulties finishing a simple task.

When it’s a task is hard or next to impossible we say ‘in between saying
something, and actually doing it, exists a large gap as large as a sea
which impedes it’. It actually means ‘easier said than done’.
