Area: Position sensors
High-resolution colour sensor
Essen, 15 March 2010 – The new electronic colour sensor from
ifm electronic detects the colour, packaging, label or imprint of
objects at a high resolution.
In industrial processes with a high degree of automation in particular, the
colour often is a selection criterion for the recognition, sorting or checking
of different goods.
So, O5C500 is also predestined for the paper and print industries, in
addition to packaging technology.
With the five selectable tolerance steps, it is possible to perfectly
differentiate even the finest shades of colour from the background or
other objects using the new colour sensor in the compact O5 housing. A
high switching frequency of 2,000 Hz allows the sensor the reliable
detection of different objects in industrial processes.
The unit is set to the colour to be detected by one push of the button. The
easy operation with the 1-point teach method saves time and money. The
autodetect output stage automatically sets the switching output to PNP or
NPN operation.
Available in addition: extensive range of mounting accessories from the
popular O5 series.
