ILSC’s accommodations staff carefully select families who provide a friendly, supportive
and welcoming home environment for students.
Most homestay families live about 45 minutes from ILSC by public transit. Families will
provide you with a furnished private bedroom, a shared bathroom and meals. ILSC’s
multilingual Student Accommodations staff are always available to help you if any problem
or issue happens to arise.
Homestay gives you the opportunity to experience the unique
culture and family life in your country of study. Some will
discover friendships that last a lifetime.
If you prefer another type of accommodation, we can provide referral and placement
services. Options vary depending on your location, but may include:

Getting outside to play and explore is a cornerstone of the ILSC
experience. It’s a chance to relax after class and spend time with your
new friends while practising English or French in the real world.

on the location and the season, there
are a variety of outdoor activities to
try like biking, kayaking, rollerblading,
tobogganing and more. Each city also

learners aged 13–17. ILSC sets junior students up for success in two junior study streams, our
International Academy, and our Language Adventure programs, and provides them with:

Counselor InTraining (CIT) Program
ILSC's Counselor inTraining Program is a leadership development
program for youth aged 18–21. Program participants will help lead
activities under the mentorship of current Junior Language Adventure
Program staff.The 6-week program covers first aid training,
counseling skills, activity skills, and leadership training. CITs will
receive ongoing evaluations and guidance throughout the program.

ILSC’s Academic Excellence Assurance supports you to achieve your goals
The University Pathway Program requires successful completion of at least 2 ILSC language levels in the Full-Time Intensive schedule.
You can start the program at any level and upgrade your level until you’re ready to begin the required University Pathway Program
courses. The level at which you can begin your required courses will depend on the ILSC Language Entry Level required at your
chosen partner school.
