The intersection is a place of conflict between vehicles of two or more roads.
Driver behavior and land use also influence intersections. This is the cause of the
need for studies for intersection management. One study for intersections is the
calculation of the intersection capacity itself. The capacity to be assessed, of course,
requires data on the volume of vehicles passing at the intersection. The purpose of
this study was to analyze the performance of the weekly intersections in Merauke
Regency by using the Indonesia Road Capacity(Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia: KAJI)
program. Results of analysis of vehicle volume data passing for one week, the largest
vehicle volume can be seen on Sunday at 17:00 - 18:00 WIT that is equal to 2038
vehicles / hour or 1153 pcu / hour. Calculation of intersection capacity using the
KAJI application obtained a weekly intersection capacity of 2451 pcu / hour. The
degree of saturation at a weekly intersection is 0.47. Based on the results of the
analysis it can be concluded that the service level of the four unmarked intersections
is at level C, ie the current is stable but the speed and motion of the vehicle is
controlled and the driver is limited in choosing speed.

to avoid and minimize the occurrence of conflicts and some problems that may arise in this
intersection area. The purpose of the intersection setting is to reduce the accident of meeting
several movements of vehicles from various directions to the same area, namely the space in
the middle of the intersection. This condition will not actually be a problem if the flow from
each part of the approach does not come together, but alternately. However, the reality is
difficult to find, especially at intersections in urban areas, which in reality flows at the same
time which will lead to conflicts between vehicles. Vehicle conflicts at the intersection occur
because of the movement of vehicles, which can be broadly classified into: intersecting
motion, merging motion, and separating motion, which is overall.
Traffic and land use behavior affects the conditions in the city center (Betaubun, 2018;
Betaubun and Betaubun, 2018; Betaubun and Hairulla, 2018; Hairulla and Betaubun, 2018;
Pamuttu and Hairulla, 2018; Suyadi and Hairulla, 2018). The road network that is often
traversed by vehicles, interspersed with intersections, will invite the emergence of economic
activities, especially if the intersection is in a close position. Thus the intersection
experiences a density of this because the area is a trading economic activity and residential
area.
Transportation problems such as: congestion, air pollution (Santoso and
Mangkoedihardjo, 2013), accidents, queues and delays are usually found with low or large
quantity levels. These problems are often found in several cities in Indonesia, including in
Merauke Regency.
In addition, the movement of vehicles passing through the intersection is not smooth,
especially during peak hours due to the parking of vehicles that are in such conditions will
cause the road area to be narrow, so that it will cause congestion, queues, slow movement of
vehicles, even accidents. so that researchers need to do research on "Performance Analysis of
Four Unmarked Intersections Using Indonesia Road Capacity (Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia:
KAJI) Applications (Case Study: Simpang Seringgu in Merauke Regency)".
2. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This research is quantitative descriptive. The study was conducted at four unmarked
intersections a week by taking vehicle volume data and side obstacles for a week during peak
hours. The tools needed in this study are roll meters, traffic counters, handy talkies, and
stationery. For vehicle enumeration, vehicle data is taken at 15-minute intervals with vehicle
classification according to the 1997 Indonesia Road Capacity Manual, namely light vehicles
or Light Vehile (LV), heavy vehicles or Heavy Vehicles (HV), motorbikes or Motor cycles
(MC) and no vehicles motorized or Unmotorozed (UM).

4. CONCLUSIONS
Based on the analysis of passing vehicle volume data for one week, the densest vehicle
volume can be seen at 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday which is 2038 kend / h or 1153 pcu /
hr. The intersection capacity using the KAJI application obtained a weekly intersection
capacity of 2451 pcu /hour. The degree of saturation at a weekly intersection is 0.47. Based
on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the service level of the four unmarked
