2Global warming is a condition experienced when the ozone layer of the
atmosphere changes because of climate change. Its major function is to filter
the harmful ultra violet rays as they penetrate down to the earth. Climate
change has a great negative impact since it reverses nature to unimaginable
extent. The normal ecosystem balance is therefore altered (Robert, 2006). This
is majorly an effect of poor governance, which results to lack of enforcement
in environmental conservation. The Ministry of industrialization is engaged in
establishment of manufacturing plants (factories) in order to boost production
of export goods. These produce excess harmful gases, which tear t.

2Global warming is a condition experienced when the ozone
layer of the
atmosphere changes because of climate change. Its major
function is to filter
the harmful ultra violet rays as they penetrate down to the earth.
Climate
change has a great negative impact since it reverses nature to
unimaginable
extent. The normal ecosystem balance is therefore altered
(Robert, 2006). This
is majorly an effect of poor governance, which results to lack of
enforcement
in environmental conservation. The Ministry of industrialization
is engaged in
establishment of manufacturing plants (factories) in order to
boost production
of export goods. These produce excess harmful gases, which
tear the ozone
5. layer that blankets the earth. More rays penetrate the earth
resulting in
climate change.
Huge companies that produce papers usually encourage
deforestation by cutting down trees. In most
developing countries companies that generate energy, which
helps in several ways pose threat to such
countries. Electricity has become one of the mostly used forms
of energy by other companies and for
consumers too, however, it poses great risk to human population
and other organisms in the ecosystem.
According to Robert (2006), “There is unwarranted melting of
icebergs from regions with flat terrain affects
water cycle, thus, causing drought.”
2Hunger and disease become part of human life. Some flora and
fauna
undergo evolution or become extinct. Suffering therefore cuts
across all
forms of life.
Instead of using energy generated from power generation
companies, people should use wind energy that
helps in
1lessening our energy bills at home. Wind energy
6. is
1more environmental friendly unlike the use of fossil fuel in
energy
production. Most of the fossil fuels pollute the environment by
emitting
poisonous gas such as carbon dioxide, sulphur and carbon
monoxide when
they are burnt. The large amount of carbon dioxide gas
produced by energy
producing plants has been an issue of great concern to various
agencies that

deal with environmental issues as well as a threat to human
existence.
Evidently,
1carbon dioxide gas is emitted in the atmosphere; it combines
7. with other
compounds in the atmosphere to form a thin brown blanket like
layer that
prevents radiations from the earth to be emitted into the
atmosphere thus
global warming. Furthermore, accumulation of these gases has
led to
depletion of ozone layer which helps in trapping ultraviolet rays
emitted by
the sun from reaching the earth surface. With depletion of the
ozone layer the
ultraviolet radiations have find their way into the earth surface
thus causing
skin cancer. Therefore, the nation is losing young people with
great potential
that if well harnessed can be of great importance in the
realization and
achievement of millennium goals due to skin cancer. The
fundamental issue is
to
1revisit the drawing board and set out strategies that aim at
adopting wind
energy as remedy to such problems.
8. Additionally, global warming affects various nations due to
human activities that alter the atmospheric
chemical composition through buildup of greenhouse gases such
as nitrous oxide, methane, and carbon
dioxide. This causes climatic changes, rise in sea levels, and
more extreme weather conditions. For
example, a marine geologist at the Wisconsin University called
Dave Clark asserts, “The climatic patterns
of northern Hemisphere changes due to the Arctic
temperatures.” This is why in most parts of the world; it
causes drought and heat waves that result to
6conflicts over water resources. Global warming remains a
major challenge to
the fresh water supplies.
According to Robert (2006), “Climate change remains a far-
reaching problem that affects human health
through diseases such as encephalitis, Ebola, malaria, and heat-
related illnesses.” “Climate change further
contributes to air pollution from industrial wastes in urban
centers that increase air temperatures,
specifically the concentration of ground-level ozone that
damages the respiratory organs” (Mark, 2006). In
addition,

2the minimum forest cover for every nation is well stipulated
and a must for all
member states. There is
need to regulate the wastes produced by companies such as
liquid waste and fumes. “The pertinent
authorities must ensure that all nations that contravene the
environmental act face the full force of law”
(Robert, 2006). This is attainable through the National
Environmental Management Authorities, which help
2to execute policies in response to climate change, together
with the
Meteorological department. The latter predicts any change in
weather
patterns and the likely cause. This is vital in detection and
taking quick
preventive measures in global warming.
10. 3The effects of the environmental movement on the process of
industrialization in the United States during the 1970s
are several. One of them is that it helped in improving local
solutions to pollution emergencies. It also
assisted in ensuring that human life is protected against
industrial wastes from big companies. One notable
4environmental protection laws ratified in the U.S. was the
National
Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA).
This law demanded that the government considers the influence
of its guiding principles or actions on the
environment.Additionally,
2some federal agencies and cabinet departments are involved in
determining
the existence and causes of these natural disasters. One of them
is the United
Nations Environmental Program (UNEP). Its mandate is to
ensure all natural
resources are well protected and used in a proper manner.
Nations must
therefore encourage and
foster the implementation of strong policies that enhance
11. environmental conservation. The above
legislations help to a greater extent, however, there are still
many environmental problems presently.
Environmental issues as a result of industrial revolution are
some of the problems that require immediate
measures. These laws were helpful since they assisted in
ensuring the environment is protected from

companies that produce chemicals. It was equally important to
have such laws in place to guide the
government owned companies that produce pesticides to ensure
that they are adhere to the standards
and do not harm the environment. Understanding the causes and
results of environmental issues such as
global warming and many others as demonstrated above is
helpful in determining the appropriate measure
12. to address this challenge. The changes in precipitation and
temperature patterns pose a great challenge
to the world as a whole. It is vital for governments, industries,
and the society to understand the changes in
climate and take immediate measures to address these problems.
1In order to save our environment and to make best use of the
benefits of
wind energy over other sources, one should weigh the pros and
cons of the
energy resource. Generally, wind energy plays a vital role in
saving our planet
from the harmful effects of energy powered by fossil fuels and
also wind
turbines work efficiently at emission of reducing carbon
dioxide. It is
therefore true that unless we devices new renewable energy
sources such as
wind energy and solar energy, the world will be inhabitable
place for man and
his future generation. It calls for all parties to mobilize their
resources and
efforts towards realization of wind energy as a mechanism for
solving
environmental problems as well as for sustainable economic
13. development.
