Global Warming
A lot of negative changes have been caused by global working.
The major effects that global warming is causing are on
infrastructure, property and of course, on the environment.
Although global warming has ill effects all across the globe, the
United States is suffering a lot as well. In order to carry out
manufacturing procedures, industries emit an unchecked amount
of poisonous gases which are detrimental to the environment.
These gases are released via machines during the manufacturing
procedures. Because of this fact, the ill effects on the
environment and the outcomes are vastly negative in nature.
Due to this fact, the effects are numerous. This essay focuses on
the various ill effects of global warming and states their various
causes as well.
Among the major alternations that are required to be carried out
are the repairs of the various infrastructures such as roads,
dams, bridges, runways of airports, seawalls, and lines of
power. These are caused due to massive destructions by natural
disasters such as huge storms, floods, and droughts (Gasser, et
al., 7958). The total repair cost for these various infrastructures
adds up to become huge amounts. In addition to this, numerous
resources are required in order for the repairing works to be
carried out effectively. Along with this, the entire procedures
take up major durations which can be used in order for large
economic sectors to be developed.
In addition to the various ill effects on the infrastructure and
properties, global warming has numerous ill effects on the
people as well. Often it is observed that global warming forces
a mass number of people to migrate to other places and also
face threats in terms of security. In accordance with this aspect,
the migration and threats in terms of security of the people are
termed as ‘climate refugees’. The consequences of this fact are
many such as the involvement of the military and other such
high-level consequences. During this process, people are
misplaced and is often witnessed not being able to continue to
perform the activities that they are supposed to on a daily basis.
Every decision which is taken and every work that is carried out
gets disrupted as people have to begin from the start (Gamble).
Global warming has immense ill effects on productivity.
Everyday activities such as agriculture, tourism, work,
transportation and schooling face unnecessary alternations due
to the climate getting altered (Hallegatte). In accordance with
the similar concept, traffic control, harvesting, traveling by air,
planting and the power supply gets affected in a massive and
negative way. These are mainly affected by the harmful rainfall
and snowstorms. As a result, people are not able to carry out
their daily activities in the manner in which they are supposed
to. In addition to this, there are various health-related issues
which are faced by the common masses as a result of
alternations in the weather. These are such as increased
pollution of air, various allergies, heat rising which leads to
work loss and disruption in the normal school working days.
In order for the society to curb the amounts which are spent
because of the impacts of the alternations in climate, a number
of methods can be followed. As long as the emissions of carbon
are kept in check, these methods can be implemented to revive
the amount of money which is spent. One important method to
carry out the following is copying the expenses (Wells, 68-93).
This procedure might appear to be very expensive but this will
be very useful to stop or mend the harmful effects of the climate
on the society as a whole. An instance can be conveyed in order
to gain a proper understanding of this concept. In case of a
farmer, the farmer might want to carry out irrigation within
areas that have been prone to heavy rainfall or the farmer might
choose to come up with methods to manage vulnerable
livestock. On the contrary, designing of warning systems are
considered by the government in order to warn people of the
upcoming dangers and also provide aid to the common people at
times of massive events in such manner. The expense of
infrastructure rebuilding is taken into consideration by the
government.
The people residing in the coastal areas face eminent threats
due to the climate changes caused via global warming. Often it
can be seen that cyclones and massive storms developing which
causes the buildings and other infrastructure to crumble
(Carleton and Solomon, aad9837). Not only this, the people face
several issues with climate changes on their own as the daily
lives of the people are affected in a massive manner. Around the
coastal areas, land portions are seen to subside, several acres of
plantations and agricultural lands get wasted and of course,
infrastructures such as houses, buildings, roads, rail lines, etc.
Get wasted. These costs the government millions of dollars to
mend and the lives of the people does not remain the same.
One major aspect which the people of the coastal areas fears are
the high chances of floods. It is a known fact that due to global
warming, the ice caps in the polar region melts and hence, this
causes the level of water on the surface of the earth to rise up in
a continuous fashion. This leads to floods in the areas around
the coasts. Normal life faces halts. The roads, buildings,
schools, houses, bridges, etc. Submerge. The lives of people are
met with massive levels of losses. People lose almost all their
belongings, become homeless and misery spreads all across the
flood-affected areas. Along with floods comes landslides and
other such natural disasters. In order to prevent these adverse
conditions, the level of global warming across the globe has to
be brought down (Raynolds, 1211-1224). This will save the ice
caps from melting which in turn, will stop the floods.
From an economic point of view, it can be stated that global
warming causes a country to run into financial losses at several
points in time. This occurs due to several reasons. In the United
States, it has been witnessed that over the few years, the
country has faced economic losses several times (Demuzere,
107-115). The majority of these losses has occurred due to
natural calamities. Over the years, at several points in time, it
was witnessed that America was hit by cyclones and other
massive storms. These storms and cyclones leave people
helpless and homeless. The government has to spend millions
everytime such a massive form of disaster occurs in the United
States in order to get things back on track and to provide homes
to the homeless people. This causes heavy pressure on the
citizens and the government to bear such huge expenses at
multiple times within the span of just a few years.
The utilization of backwoods for fuel (both wood and for
charcoal) is one reason for deforestation, however in the main
world, our craving for wood and paper items, our utilization of
domesticated animals touched on the previous timberland arrive,
and the utilization of tropical woodland lands for products like
palm oil ranches adds to the mass deforestation of our reality
(Demuzere, 107-115). Backwoods expel and store carbon
dioxide from the environment, and this deforestation discharges
a lot of carbon, and in addition decreasing the measure of
carbon catch on the planet. Methane is another to a great degree
strong ozone-harming substance, positioning directly behind
CO2. At the point when a natural issue is separated by
microscopic organisms under oxygen-starved conditions
(anaerobic decay) as in rice paddies, methane is created. The
procedure additionally happens in the digestion tracts of
herbivorous creatures, and with the expansion in the measure of
concentrated animals generation, the levels of methane
discharged into the climate are expanding.
If accurate and necessary preventive measures can be
implemented which will not only warn people at times of
oncoming disasters but will also come to their aid after the
disasters are over, the cost of repairs and reconstructions will
not be required. This will not only be beneficial for the people
in general but will also be beneficial for the government as
well. Due to the fact, the overall costs come down, prevention is
always preferred over anything else. Prevention is better for all
individuals. This also enables the measures for prevention to be
improved. Global warming tends to reach heights where it can’t
be kept under control any longer. Due to this fact, serious
efforts to curb this must be adopted from now.

REMEDIES OF GLOBAL WARMING

Remedies of global warming
Suliman Aldhabaan
Introduction
Global warming is also referred to as the climate change. It
translates to an observed century-scale rise of earth climate and
its connected effects. Much of the observed change dates back
to 1950s and also extends to mid-19th century. The causes of
this predicament occur when carbon dioxide and other air
pollutants gather in the atmosphere and absorb sunlight and
solar radiation. Normally this radiation would outflow to the
space. However, this pollutants trap the heat and causing the
planet to have increased temperatures. This is also known as the
greenhouse effect.
Global warming has numerous effects that include melting
glaciers and early snowmelt. This causes severe and more water
shortages as well as the risk of wildfires. Besides, it causes
water levels to rise in the seas. This has been witnessed in
Florida and other areas. Again, flooding due to snowmelt can
cause heavy floods that have a profound effect on agriculture.
Additionally, it destroys habitat such as coral reefs that could
bring to extinction of some plants and animals. Finally, it
results in more outbreaks of diseases that are infectious due to
the exclusive growth of pollen-producing ragweed (De
Wrachien, 2017).
Therefore, it is evident that global warming is a current
emerging and pressing issue in the current world. This is the
major problem that is presented in the essay. As a result, this
paper aims at providing insights on the numerous remedies that
can be incorporated to curb global warming. The remedies can
be divided into two. This includes personal lifestyle remedies
that can be made to reduce carbon impact emission. Also, the
interventions that can be integrated by the authority in
combination with personal to help reduce carbon impact. The
viable alternatives include plants derived plastics, biodiesel,
wind power and others that do not emit carbon. The authorities
should consider divesting from oil stocks and rather invest in
companies' carbon capture and storage (De Wrachien, 2017).
Remedies of global warming
The first and major remedy to global warming is foregoing
fossil fuels. This includes eradicating the burning of coal, oil
and natural gas. However, this is one of the biggest challenges
as almost all citizens of rich countries eat, wear, work, play and
even slumber products made from fossilized sunshine. In
addition, denizens from developing countries want to enjoy the
same comfort which largely depends on the fossil fuels. Better
still, oil is the lard of the global economy hidden inside
universal items such as plastic and corn and fundamental to the
transport of consumer and products. On the other hand, coal is
the substrate, supplying half of the American citizens with
electricity and almost half of the world. Subsequently, there are
no perfect solutions for reducing the dependency on fuels (De
Wrachien, 2017).
An archetypical example is alternative carbon-neutral biofuels
can lead to high prices of food and forest destruction. Again,
another alternative nuclear energy does not emit carbon but
produce radioactive waste. Nonetheless, in this context, the
alternatives provided can be used as remedies as we analyze the
remedies (De Wrachien, 2017).
Another remedy for this problem is the stopping and controlling
deforestation. This translates to stop cutting down the trees.
According to De Wrachien (2017), every year 33 million acres
of forests are cut down by the human. Timber harvesting alone
contributes to 1.5billion metrics tons of carbon released into the
air. This equates to 20 percent of human-made greenhouse
emission. This could be avoided easily. This is by improved
agricultural practices, paper recycling, and forest management.
At the same time, this will balance the wood taken out and
amount of trees growing (De Wrachien, 2017).
This would obviously eradicate the substantial chunk emission.
A lifestyle measure in this remedy includes when purchasing
wood products like furniture one can buy used goods or wood
certified to have been sustainably reaped. It's worth noting that
forests are lungs of the earth and best short-term hope for
limiting global warming (De Wrachien, 2017).
Another remedy is eating smart or focusing vegetarian. Corn
grown in the U.S needs barrels of oil for fertilizer and diesel
fuel to harvest and transport it. Some green grocery produce
requires less fertilizer, but it is repeatedly shipped from halfway
across the globe.Again, meat needs pounds of feed to produce a
pound of protein. Choosing food items that are in balance with
nutrition, taste and ecological results is not easy. Foodstuff has
the nutritional information but not how far head of lettuce has
cruised. University of Chicago researchers has asserted that
meat-eating US citizen produces 1.5 tons more greenhouse
through food choice compared to vegetarians. In addition, it
takes less land to grow crops necessary from human
consumption compared to rearing livestock. This allows more
land for planting trees (De Wrachien, 2017).
According to UN, there are 6.6 billion people living today. The
number is projected to grow to at least 9billion by mid-century.
The environmental program estimates that it requires 54 acres to
sustain every human being living today, food, clothing and
other factors extracted from the planet. Therefore, continuing
such population deem unmaintainable. It remains certain that
per capita energy consumption must go down if climate change
is to be controlled. Therefore, a regulated birth should be
integrated to control the number energy consumption. It is
apparent that more humans more greenhouse gas emission (De
Wrachien, 2017).
Driving fuel-efficient vehicles is another remedy for climate
change. Gas-smart cars like the hybrids and electric vehicles
save fuel money and the environment. Once all cars and light
trucks meet 2025's clean car standard which is an average of
54.4 miles per gallon, they will be depicted as a mainstay.
Relative to a national fleet of vehicles that averaged only 28.3
miles per gallon in 2011.The U.S citizens will use $80 billion
less at the gas station every year. This will aid in cutting their
automotive emission by half. It's worth noting that vehicles emit
carbon monoxide that is notoriously known for eating away the
ozone layer. This allows the ultraviolet rays of the sun to reach
the earth melting ices and increasing temperatures which is
referred to as the global warming (De Wrachien, 2017).
Finally, reducing water waste reduces carbon pollution too. This
is because it takes to pump, heat to treat water. It can be saved
by taking shorter showers, turning off taps, while brushing
teeth. The EPA estimates that if one of the households in a
hundred of the U.S citizens were retrofitted with water-efficient
fixtures, about 100 million kill watts –hours of electricity per
years would be salvaged. This equates to 80,000 tons of global
warming pollution (De Wrachien, 2017).
Conclusion
It translates to an observed century-scale rise of earth climate
and its connected effects. Global warming has numerous effects
that include melting glaciers and early snowmelt. This causes
severe and more water shortages as well as the risk of wildfires.
Besides, it causes water levels to rise in the seas. The remedies
include driving fuel-efficient vehicles, reducing water waste,
managing populations, another remedy is eating smart or
focusing on vegetarian and controlling deforestation.

LAST NAME 1Last Name 2Global WarmingA lot of negative ch.docx

  • 1. LAST NAME 1 Last Name 2 Global Warming A lot of negative changes have been caused by global working. The major effects that global warming is causing are on infrastructure, property and of course, on the environment. Although global warming has ill effects all across the globe, the United States is suffering a lot as well. In order to carry out manufacturing procedures, industries emit an unchecked amount of poisonous gases which are detrimental to the environment. These gases are released via machines during the manufacturing procedures. Because of this fact, the ill effects on the environment and the outcomes are vastly negative in nature. Due to this fact, the effects are numerous. This essay focuses on the various ill effects of global warming and states their various causes as well. Among the major alternations that are required to be carried out are the repairs of the various infrastructures such as roads, dams, bridges, runways of airports, seawalls, and lines of power. These are caused due to massive destructions by natural disasters such as huge storms, floods, and droughts (Gasser, et al., 7958). The total repair cost for these various infrastructures adds up to become huge amounts. In addition to this, numerous resources are required in order for the repairing works to be carried out effectively. Along with this, the entire procedures take up major durations which can be used in order for large economic sectors to be developed. In addition to the various ill effects on the infrastructure and properties, global warming has numerous ill effects on the people as well. Often it is observed that global warming forces a mass number of people to migrate to other places and also face threats in terms of security. In accordance with this aspect, the migration and threats in terms of security of the people are termed as ‘climate refugees’. The consequences of this fact are
  • 2. many such as the involvement of the military and other such high-level consequences. During this process, people are misplaced and is often witnessed not being able to continue to perform the activities that they are supposed to on a daily basis. Every decision which is taken and every work that is carried out gets disrupted as people have to begin from the start (Gamble). Global warming has immense ill effects on productivity. Everyday activities such as agriculture, tourism, work, transportation and schooling face unnecessary alternations due to the climate getting altered (Hallegatte). In accordance with the similar concept, traffic control, harvesting, traveling by air, planting and the power supply gets affected in a massive and negative way. These are mainly affected by the harmful rainfall and snowstorms. As a result, people are not able to carry out their daily activities in the manner in which they are supposed to. In addition to this, there are various health-related issues which are faced by the common masses as a result of alternations in the weather. These are such as increased pollution of air, various allergies, heat rising which leads to work loss and disruption in the normal school working days. In order for the society to curb the amounts which are spent because of the impacts of the alternations in climate, a number of methods can be followed. As long as the emissions of carbon are kept in check, these methods can be implemented to revive the amount of money which is spent. One important method to carry out the following is copying the expenses (Wells, 68-93). This procedure might appear to be very expensive but this will be very useful to stop or mend the harmful effects of the climate on the society as a whole. An instance can be conveyed in order to gain a proper understanding of this concept. In case of a farmer, the farmer might want to carry out irrigation within areas that have been prone to heavy rainfall or the farmer might choose to come up with methods to manage vulnerable livestock. On the contrary, designing of warning systems are considered by the government in order to warn people of the upcoming dangers and also provide aid to the common people at
  • 3. times of massive events in such manner. The expense of infrastructure rebuilding is taken into consideration by the government. The people residing in the coastal areas face eminent threats due to the climate changes caused via global warming. Often it can be seen that cyclones and massive storms developing which causes the buildings and other infrastructure to crumble (Carleton and Solomon, aad9837). Not only this, the people face several issues with climate changes on their own as the daily lives of the people are affected in a massive manner. Around the coastal areas, land portions are seen to subside, several acres of plantations and agricultural lands get wasted and of course, infrastructures such as houses, buildings, roads, rail lines, etc. Get wasted. These costs the government millions of dollars to mend and the lives of the people does not remain the same. One major aspect which the people of the coastal areas fears are the high chances of floods. It is a known fact that due to global warming, the ice caps in the polar region melts and hence, this causes the level of water on the surface of the earth to rise up in a continuous fashion. This leads to floods in the areas around the coasts. Normal life faces halts. The roads, buildings, schools, houses, bridges, etc. Submerge. The lives of people are met with massive levels of losses. People lose almost all their belongings, become homeless and misery spreads all across the flood-affected areas. Along with floods comes landslides and other such natural disasters. In order to prevent these adverse conditions, the level of global warming across the globe has to be brought down (Raynolds, 1211-1224). This will save the ice caps from melting which in turn, will stop the floods. From an economic point of view, it can be stated that global warming causes a country to run into financial losses at several points in time. This occurs due to several reasons. In the United States, it has been witnessed that over the few years, the country has faced economic losses several times (Demuzere, 107-115). The majority of these losses has occurred due to natural calamities. Over the years, at several points in time, it
  • 4. was witnessed that America was hit by cyclones and other massive storms. These storms and cyclones leave people helpless and homeless. The government has to spend millions everytime such a massive form of disaster occurs in the United States in order to get things back on track and to provide homes to the homeless people. This causes heavy pressure on the citizens and the government to bear such huge expenses at multiple times within the span of just a few years. The utilization of backwoods for fuel (both wood and for charcoal) is one reason for deforestation, however in the main world, our craving for wood and paper items, our utilization of domesticated animals touched on the previous timberland arrive, and the utilization of tropical woodland lands for products like palm oil ranches adds to the mass deforestation of our reality (Demuzere, 107-115). Backwoods expel and store carbon dioxide from the environment, and this deforestation discharges a lot of carbon, and in addition decreasing the measure of carbon catch on the planet. Methane is another to a great degree strong ozone-harming substance, positioning directly behind CO2. At the point when a natural issue is separated by microscopic organisms under oxygen-starved conditions (anaerobic decay) as in rice paddies, methane is created. The procedure additionally happens in the digestion tracts of herbivorous creatures, and with the expansion in the measure of concentrated animals generation, the levels of methane discharged into the climate are expanding. If accurate and necessary preventive measures can be implemented which will not only warn people at times of oncoming disasters but will also come to their aid after the disasters are over, the cost of repairs and reconstructions will not be required. This will not only be beneficial for the people in general but will also be beneficial for the government as well. Due to the fact, the overall costs come down, prevention is always preferred over anything else. Prevention is better for all individuals. This also enables the measures for prevention to be improved. Global warming tends to reach heights where it can’t
  • 5. be kept under control any longer. Due to this fact, serious efforts to curb this must be adopted from now. References Gasser, T., et al. • 6. Suliman Aldhabaan Introduction Global warming is also referred to as the climate change. It translates to an observed century-scale rise of earth climate and its connected effects. Much of the observed change dates back to 1950s and also extends to mid-19th century. The causes of this predicament occur when carbon dioxide and other air pollutants gather in the atmosphere and absorb sunlight and solar radiation. Normally this radiation would outflow to the space. However, this pollutants trap the heat and causing the planet to have increased temperatures. This is also known as the greenhouse effect. Global warming has numerous effects that include melting glaciers and early snowmelt. This causes severe and more water shortages as well as the risk of wildfires. Besides, it causes water levels to rise in the seas. This has been witnessed in Florida and other areas. Again, flooding due to snowmelt can cause heavy floods that have a profound effect on agriculture. Additionally, it destroys habitat such as coral reefs that could bring to extinction of some plants and animals. Finally, it results in more outbreaks of diseases that are infectious due to the exclusive growth of pollen-producing ragweed (De Wrachien, 2017). Therefore, it is evident that global warming is a current emerging and pressing issue in the current world. This is the major problem that is presented in the essay. As a result, this paper aims at providing insights on the numerous remedies that can be incorporated to curb global warming. The remedies can be divided into two. This includes personal lifestyle remedies that can be made to reduce carbon impact emission. Also, the interventions that can be integrated by the authority in combination with personal to help reduce carbon impact. The
  • 7. viable alternatives include plants derived plastics, biodiesel, wind power and others that do not emit carbon. The authorities should consider divesting from oil stocks and rather invest in companies' carbon capture and storage (De Wrachien, 2017). Remedies of global warming The first and major remedy to global warming is foregoing fossil fuels. This includes eradicating the burning of coal, oil and natural gas. However, this is one of the biggest challenges as almost all citizens of rich countries eat, wear, work, play and even slumber products made from fossilized sunshine. In addition, denizens from developing countries want to enjoy the same comfort which largely depends on the fossil fuels. Better still, oil is the lard of the global economy hidden inside universal items such as plastic and corn and fundamental to the transport of consumer and products. On the other hand, coal is the substrate, supplying half of the American citizens with electricity and almost half of the world. Subsequently, there are no perfect solutions for reducing the dependency on fuels (De Wrachien, 2017). An archetypical example is alternative carbon-neutral biofuels can lead to high prices of food and forest destruction. Again, another alternative nuclear energy does not emit carbon but produce radioactive waste. Nonetheless, in this context, the alternatives provided can be used as remedies as we analyze the remedies (De Wrachien, 2017). Another remedy for this problem is the stopping and controlling deforestation. This translates to stop cutting down the trees. According to De Wrachien (2017), every year 33 million acres of forests are cut down by the human. Timber harvesting alone contributes to 1.5billion metrics tons of carbon released into the air. This equates to 20 percent of human-made greenhouse emission. This could be avoided easily. This is by improved agricultural practices, paper recycling, and forest management. At the same time, this will balance the wood taken out and amount of trees growing (De Wrachien, 2017).
  • 8. This would obviously eradicate the substantial chunk emission. A lifestyle measure in this remedy includes when purchasing wood products like furniture one can buy used goods or wood certified to have been sustainably reaped. It's worth noting that forests are lungs of the earth and best short-term hope for limiting global warming (De Wrachien, 2017). Another remedy is eating smart or focusing vegetarian. Corn grown in the U.S needs barrels of oil for fertilizer and diesel fuel to harvest and transport it. Some green grocery produce requires less fertilizer, but it is repeatedly shipped from halfway across the globe.Again, meat needs pounds of feed to produce a pound of protein. Choosing food items that are in balance with nutrition, taste and ecological results is not easy. Foodstuff has the nutritional information but not how far head of lettuce has cruised. University of Chicago researchers has asserted that meat-eating US citizen produces 1.5 tons more greenhouse through food choice compared to vegetarians. In addition, it takes less land to grow crops necessary from human consumption compared to rearing livestock. This allows more land for planting trees (De Wrachien, 2017). According to UN, there are 6.6 billion people living today. The number is projected to grow to at least 9billion by mid-century. The environmental program estimates that it requires 54 acres to sustain every human being living today, food, clothing and other factors extracted from the planet. Therefore, continuing such population deem unmaintainable. It remains certain that per capita energy consumption must go down if climate change is to be controlled. Therefore, a regulated birth should be integrated to control the number energy consumption. It is apparent that more humans more greenhouse gas emission (De Wrachien, 2017). Driving fuel-efficient vehicles is another remedy for climate
  • 9. change. Gas-smart cars like the hybrids and electric vehicles save fuel money and the environment. Once all cars and light trucks meet 2025's clean car standard which is an average of 54.4 miles per gallon, they will be depicted as a mainstay. Relative to a national fleet of vehicles that averaged only 28.3 miles per gallon in 2011.The U.S citizens will use $80 billion less at the gas station every year. This will aid in cutting their automotive emission by half. It's worth noting that vehicles emit carbon monoxide that is notoriously known for eating away the ozone layer. This allows the ultraviolet rays of the sun to reach the earth melting ices and increasing temperatures which is referred to as the global warming (De Wrachien, 2017). Finally, reducing water waste reduces carbon pollution too. This is because it takes to pump, heat to treat water. It can be saved by taking shorter showers, turning off taps, while brushing teeth. The EPA estimates that if one of the households in a hundred of the U.S citizens were retrofitted with water-efficient fixtures, about 100 million kill watts –hours of electricity per years would be salvaged. This equates to 80,000 tons of global warming pollution (De Wrachien, 2017). Conclusion It translates to an observed century-scale rise of earth climate and its connected effects. Global warming has numerous effects that include melting glaciers and early snowmelt. This causes severe and more water shortages as well as the risk of wildfires. Besides, it causes water levels to rise in the seas. The remedies include driving fuel-efficient vehicles, reducing water waste, managing populations, another remedy is eating smart or focusing on vegetarian and controlling deforestation.
