This document provides instructions and tasks for a media studies exam. It includes questions about genre, narrative processes, and developing skills using digital technologies over time. Students are asked to evaluate their assessment production in relation to media concepts and consider how it relates to narrative processes. They are given evaluation criteria focusing on how their work uses, develops or challenges conventions, the effectiveness of ancillary texts, lessons learned from audience feedback, and use of new technologies.

The evaluation can make use of any digital format, but in order to get top marks, will
need to really engage with the potential of the medium, so if it is on a blog, we would
expect to see lots of use of pictures, links and video, for example.
I am going to suggest some ways of approaching each of the questions as tasks, which
make them more creative and more fun to do, but which also involves more planning
and thought than a straight written answer would involve.
