3. Q2. HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION OF
YOUR MAIN PRODUCT AND ANCILLARY TEXTS?
Our Documentary corresponds effectively with our
ancillaries as the topic of youth represented
negatively was portrayed in both texts clearly.
Ancillary texts portrayed stereotypes of different
kinds of youths in a negative light. However it could
have been more effective if we used a positive
image in our advert to show more diversity.
4. Q3.WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK?
Time management is crucial
Our target audience prefer to see more images and
the presenter to do more voiceovers than actually
being seen on the documentary
We could have explored more into why youth rebel
More indepth detail of the positives youths do in
society, so our debate is more effective
5. Q4. HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN
THE CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH & PLANNING
AND EVALUATION STAGES?
I used Youtube to research into real media texts
this helped in through the research and planning
stage right up until evaluation stages as it
influenced me in conventions and skills I wanted to
use for my documentary. It was also useful to watch
past a2 students to help me construct ideas for my
own work.
6. Blogger helped me to organise all the research and planning I
had done, I uploaded all my powerpoints I had done aswell as all
my drafts from documentary and ancillaries, my blog really
helped me with my evaluation I also blogged about what I done
during lessons.
Microsoft office helped me so much, I used Microsoft word to
compose scripts, interviews and surveys. I used Microsoft
PowerPoint for all my presentations which helped me to do
research and planning.
7. Garageband helped my group to compose our own
music for our documentary aswell as recording
voiceovers.
Imovie helped me for post-production where I could
upload my footage and then edit my documentary
and add special effects and transitions.
