This month, the children enjoyed playing
Dramatic play or pretend play. The children pretend
to be a doctor, a baker, and a mailman. Each child
participates in each of the plays.
What is Dramatic Play?
 Kind of Play where
children adopt rolls and
pretend to be them to
learn about themselves
and their environment.
Importance of Dramatic Play in Children’s
Development
 Help the children to develop impulse control,
social and planning skills.
 Encourage language development in using
new vocabulary words and allowed children
to communicate, learn to speak and express
their pretend roles.
 Promotes Imagination in how they can
pretend on what they want to be, Thinking
and Problem-solving skills.
Value of Dramatic Play
Children work together to create and perform
imaginative scenarios, which supports cooperation,
sharing and taking turns. They gain empathy,
understand and appreciate diversity and create
stronger relationship to others.
