comparisontotypical clowncostumeswhichusuallyfeature ostentatiouscolours,the band
member’sare dressedindarkredtones whichhave denotationsof passion,whichrelatestothe
lyricsof the songwiththe undertonesof arelationshipbreakdown.The character’seachhave props
that are associatedwithclowns,suchas
bowlingpins,aclownwig,clowngloves
and a circus hat,these helptoestablishthe
clownand circusaspectof the narrative
