1. A GUIDE TO NFT
COMMUNITY ROUNDUPS
Do you see a drop in engagement in your Discord server?
Chances are your members feel overwhelmed…
They’ve either joined your server and then got lost with all the
noise…
OR your server has got lost in a million other things on their
plate…
It’s your job to make members’ lives easier and provide them
with VALUE.
One of the ways you can do this is by providing regular
community roundups.
Roundups are:
● Summaries of what has been going on in your community
● A chance to highlight key achievements of your members
● A chance for members to “catch up” if they’ve missed out
on conversations
● An opportunity for you to encourage members back into
your Discord server!

community roundups!

2. Quick checklist of what your community roundups
should cover
Include important community updates: what are the main happenings in your
NFT project/community that members MUST know about?
Think about branding: how will your community roundup be unique? How is
your roundup unique and stands out from other communities? What is the
language you’re using? Make sure it all ties into your brand.
Make it easily digestible: your roundup should SAVE your members time, not
make it more time consuming for them to catch up on everything important! Keep
it as short as you can but adding as much value as possible.
Tone matters: these roundups should encourage your members to get MORE
involved with the community again. Make sure the tone in your roundup reflects
that
Curation matters: Who is curating the roundup? Do you have influential
members in your community? Consider asking them to help curate the roundup
or add their voice to it.
Engagement strategy: how will you encourage your members to come back to
the Discord server whilst reading the roundup? Think about your calls to action.
Keep it authentic: Don’t gloss over REAL conversations that may have been
controversial, or failures within the team. Address these in the roundup and be
authentic. You’ll find this may even encourage members to jump back into the
Discord server.
Structure of the roundup
There are many different ways to structure your roundup, and remember it’s important
that you find your own unique spin and stick to your branding. However I understand it
is helpful to have some decent examples of other NFT communities that have done it
well, so here we go:
3. Example one: Veefriends community roundups
What they do well
● Branding
● Easily digestible
● Mixed media and covers a range of other platforms they are on: including
Youtube videos, Twitter posts, Instagram posts, podcast recordings, other blog
post links etc
● Very visual
● Fun injected into the roundup with emojis and awesome blog header graphics
including their NFT characters
What they could add
● Call to action back to the discord server (at the very least include a link to it
somewhere)
● More member highlights - how have their lives changed from owning a
Veefriend? I see many inspiring stories shared in the Discord community server, I
would recommend they include a section and really put their members in the
spotlight - especially those members who share the same characteristics as the
Veefriends characters themselves!

12. Example two: World of Women community roundups
What they do well
● Brief comments throughout that are very easy to read
● They KNOW their greater mission and tie this throughout the community
roundups: from placing their members in the spotlight, celebrating members’
achievements, collaborating with members on projects etc. Even the language
they use in this roundup is positive and celebrates their members.
● Mixed media and covers a range of other platforms they are on: including
Youtube videos, Twitter posts, Instagram posts, podcast recordings, other blog
post links etc
● Very visual
● Fun injected into the roundup with funny social posts and emojis
● Call to action included at the end of their roundup encouraging members to jump
back into the discord server with a link!
What they could improve or add
● VERY long roundup, I would encourage them to think about how to reduce the
length. I doubt many members would scroll all the way to the end or may only
digest half the information there.
● Would be great to hear from some influential or highly engaged members and
have them curate this newsletter further. For example: What has the main artist
Yam been up to?
● Could include more stats on what WoW has accomplished (just like Veefriends
did)

28. Example three: Shiny Object Social Club community
roundups
What they do well
● They keep it TIGHT with incredible curation and insights provided to their
members
● They keep it SIMPLE and to the point.
● Many calls to action and to highlight all the great accomplishments of their
community

32. I hope you have found this useful! Most important point I can
make when it comes to roundups is to give your community
members a chance to “catch up” whilst ENJOYING THE
CONTENT and encourage them to come back to the Discord
server to engage in the conversation again.
