I had a internal struggle with myself and thinking whether or not I was even college material. The start of sophomore year I had come to the
conclusion that I can't just quit when things don't go according to my plan, I should always try my hardest and stay realistic and true to myself. I
made a promise to myself that I would not make the same mistakes I did in my freshman year, but to use them to know what I would have to do to
succeed. Acting upon this I placed myself in accelerated courses instead continuing in the honors program, and started to improve my study habits
to improve my test scores. It wasn't easy trying to adjust at first watching the people who I spent my freshman year brag about being in the honors
program, but I knew that this was the right decision for me and it would further boost my future success. Now that I have reached my senior year I
see that this was an important event in my life that has taught me that I can and will achieve my greatest success even if I do have some failures.
Since my visit to Penn State University Park Campus I see now that this is a college where I can use everything that I have learned about myself and

Speaking from personal experience, failure is the mother of success, and without overcoming the challenge posed to me, I would not make it a step
