2. What is it about?

● The White Hat calls for information known or needed. "The facts, just the facts."
● The Yellow Hat symbolizes brightness and optimism. Under this hat you explore the
positives and probe for value and benefit.
● The Black Hat is judgment - the devil's advocate or why something may not work. Spot
the difficulties and dangers; where things might go wrong. Probably the most powerful
and useful of the Hats but a problem if overused.
● The Red Hat signifies feelings, hunches and intuition. When using this hat you can
express emotions and feelings and share fears, likes, dislikes, loves, and hates.
● The Green Hat focuses on creativity; the possibilities, alternatives, and new ideas. It's
an opportunity to express new concepts and new perceptions.
● The Blue Hat is used to manage the thinking process. It's the control mechanism that
ensures the Six Thinking Hats® guidelines are observed.
3. Marek - overall
● First of all - I am surprised how I am changing in my life; also I can't select just one hat for me
● In past - I would wear white head, then green and yellow hat; but sometimes it appeared to me
as if I would just try to wear white head (or try to appear so), but in fact wear green and yellow
hat
● Currently, I still wear yellow hat (people around me call me remediless optimist :-)), sometimes I
feel that I have to stop running somewhere (to get calm) to wear green as in past. Of course,
being comfortable with white head still applies to me, however, I am getting much more
comfortable also with blue hat and I am learning to wear red hat as well that was really
uncomfortable for me in past!
4. Marek - individual hats
How I am feeling currently about the hats?
● It is where my education is, I always liked math and exact sciences - but later in life I
realized that it is not the only approach (however I am still very comfortable with it).
● I was always were optimistic and liked to explore new things, I am very comfortable
with this hat.
● Sometimes I am too optimistic and generally I don't like people telling why something
won't work. It seems that it is better to have someone wearing this hat in the team for
me...
● I wouldn't wear this hat at all in past, but I am surprised how comfortable it becomes
during last few years!
● It was and always is my favorite hat, I am very comfortable wearing it.
● Another change - I didn't like this hat and preferred to leave it to someone else, but I
am more and more interested and comfortable in wearing it!
