1. Sinister
Characters: The main characters in the film are a family. A family gets people
more scared and attached because the people you’re closest to is your family
and it makes you think about your family. The trailer shows them eating
together and smiling meaning they are happy, the dad puts the kids to bed at
night.
Settings: The whole film is in the house or around the house for example the
garden and the attic. The house is big which makes it creepier because there is
more space and places for the scary person to hide and sneak up on you. The
house is basically haunted.
Narrative: The film is about the male in the family which finds some old tapes
of murders happening in the house he lives in now. The whole movie is about
him trying to find out the mystery of what happened to the family and how it
happened. Then some things start happening to his family like the tapes start
playing in the middle of the night while he is sleeping then it catches fire.

Characters: The main characters in this horror movie are a family of three, a
husband and wife and their baby boy Hunter. There are other characters in the
movie for example their maid but she is not as important as she is not shown
in many scenes. The family also has a dog which is important in the movie
because it starts to bark when the baby is getting dragged up the dog barks
because it sense evil there.
Setting: The whole film takes place in the house for example the baby’s room,
the living room, the kitchen, the corridors and the parent’s room. Some scenes
are shown outside the house like the garden and the swimming pool. Another
scene is shown outside the house where the baby is out on the middle of the
road in front of the house.
Narrative: The film shows the audience a picture of the mother when young
then shows the pic burnt up which tells the audience something bad

2. happened. We then see the house messed up. This is a horror about demon
possession; in this case the baby is the one who gets possessed. The movie is
recorded as a documentary recorded by the couple themselves. At the
beginning we see the family happy but as we see more of the film it doesn’t
seem like that.
The last exorcism
Character: In this horror movie the main characters are a family of three, the
dad, his daughter, and his son. We also see a priest he is important in the
movie because he is religious and is fighting the devil. We don’t really see any
other characters in the trailer as they are not important.
Setting: The whole movie trailer as we see is at the house. The family doesn’t
really go out as they don’t need to. They don’t want to take the girl out the
house so they invite the priest to their house. We don’t see any scenes out the
house only in the garden and bedrooms around the house.
Narrative: This horror movie is about a possession of a young girl. The family
tries to do everything to help their daughter/sister. The priest is not really a
priest, he is trying to conn them into getting money but then it turns into a real
exorcism. The priest struggles with the exorcism as he is not a real priest and a
lot of things go wrong as he cannot handle it.
