1. Our Film Titles…
Following the conventions of similar documentary short films we decided to have a very
basic/plain font, with a simple colour we picked a font that matched/suited the genre of our
film. We decided to use a black back ground to show the credits at the end of the film, using a
plain simple font, making it the colour white.
We created all of our titles in the Apple programme LiveType, we then imported this to final
cut express to join onto our film. We decided to have our film title on the screen using a fade in
and out, adding a dramatic but professional effect. This would show the film title “Collision”
followwing the style of genre related short film “undressing my mother”.
Below is a screen shot taken from our short film showing the titles at the beginning and the
end.

2. I really like the titles, as I feel they look very professional, and suit the theme of the
film. With the text on the left smaller than the names on the right it allows the names
to be the dominant feature on the screen.
