Environmental Pollution Environmental problems are becoming more serious by air, soil and water pollution. The effect of pollution is causing issues within nature as well as human civilization. Air pollution is everywhere, we emit carbon dioxide but much of the artificial pollutants can kill us. Soil pollution affects our food, causing sicknesses and weaker immune systems. Water pollution affects us most because about seventy-five percent of our world is water and because it is polluted people and animals are dying from lack of clean water. The largest form of pollution is air pollution is caused by the burning of fossil fuels, as well as many of the luxuries we use today. Smoke from many factories pollutes the air in larger cities, making it unhealthy to live there. Streets are crowded with people and cars, the harmful motor emissions leading to many health issues. Consequently air pollution effects are as small as burning eyes and itchy throat to as large as breathing problems and death by lung diseases such as cancer, tuberculosis or even a damaging cough. The next issue is soil pollution and much of it occurs due to the incorporation of unwanted chemicals in the soil due to human carelessness. The main cause of soil pollution is industrial activity, agricultural activities, and waste disposal and also accidental oil spills. They are caused by crops and plants grown in polluted soil that absorb too many pesticides along with pollution and then pass these on to us. This affects health of humans, growth of plants, decreased soil fertility and changes in soil structure. The final form of pollution is through water and it has taken a toll on all of the surviving species of the Earth. Every day, 2 million tons of sewage, industrial and agricultural waste is discharged into the world’s water, the equivalent of the weight of the entire human population, and 6.8 billion people. Water pollution not only harms the aquatic beings but it also contaminates the entire food chain by severely affecting humanity’s dependence on aquatic fish as a food source. Water-borne diseases like cholera and diarrhea have also increased in all places due to the waste that humanity disposes of so carelessly. Water pollution is detrimental to our society The environment has been getting worse by people upgrading their living standard, as the environment has been polluted with effective ways to improve their living temporarily and long term damaging our environment. Air, soil and water are our three most needed resources yet they have all turned into our largest pollution avenues. This problem can be solved by protecting the environment, and following the laws pertaining to non-pollution. ...
