Consequently air pollution effects are as small as burning eyes and itchy throat to as large as breathing problems and death by lung diseases such as cancer, tuberculosis or even a damaging cough. The next issue is soil pollution and much of it occurs due to the incorporation of unwanted chemicals in the soil due to human carelessness. The main cause of soil pollution is industrial activity, agricultural activities, and waste disposal and also accidental oil spills. They are caused by crops and plants grown in polluted soil that absorb too many pesticides along with pollution and then pass these on to us. This affects health of humans, growth of plants, decreased soil fertility and changes in soil structure. The final form of pollution is through water and it has taken a toll on all of the surviving species of the Earth. Every day, 2 million tons of sewage, industrial and agricultural waste is discharged into the world’s water, the equivalent of the weight of the entire human population, and 6.8 billion people. Water pollution not only harms the aquatic beings but it also contaminates the entire food chain by severely affecting humanity’s dependence on aquatic fish as a food source. Water-borne diseases like cholera and diarrhea have also increased in all places due to the waste that humanity disposes of so carelessly.
