reported

billion
The
Association
Chambers
of
Commerce
(ASSOCHAM)
reported
that
by
the
end
of
2015,
the
Indian
e-­‐commerce
market
will
cross
USD
16
billion
as
transactions
grew
by
53.5%
last
year.
ASSOCHAM
also
reported
that
globally
m-­‐
commerce
will
cross
USD
638
billion
by
2018.
With
a
valuation
of
USD
11
billion,
Flipkart
is
India’s
biggest
e-­‐commerce
portal
with
20
million
users,
PayTm
is
India’s
biggest
mobile
wallet
and
m-­‐commerce
company
with
90%
market
share
and
BookMyShow
is
country’s
biggest
online
ticket
aggregator
and
seller.
Globally,
Amazon
is
the
biggest
e-­‐commerce
portal
with
revenues
of
USD
61
billion.

sells
luxury
home
for
INR

crore
Snapdeal.com
sold
a
luxury
penthouse
located
in
Bangalore
for
INR
6
crore,
which
is
considered
as
one
of
the
highest
online
residential
property
sale
in
the
country.
The
booking
amount
was
INR
50,000.
The
penthouse
is
located
at
Mantri
Espana,
a
residential
project
by
Mantri
Developers.
Currently,
Snapdeal
only
sells
new
residential
properties,
but
in
the
future
it
may
venture
into
pre-­‐owned
residential
properties.
❑ E-­‐commerce
is
the
second
largest
occupier
of
office
space
E-­‐commerce
companies
have
emerged
as
the
second
largest
occupier
of
office
space
during
the
second
quarter
of
2015
in
the
seven
major
cities.
During
this
period,
office
space
rose
by
70
per
cent
at
about
8
million
square
feet
in
seven
cities
as
compared
to
last
quarter,
out
of
which
online
distributer
contributed
17
per
cent.
Almost
53
per
cent
of
the
total
office
transactions
in
the
second
quarter
of
2015
were
contributed
by
Mumbai,
NCR
and
Chennai.

At

companies

are
earning

the

technology

etc.,
the
annual
compensation
for
the
mid-­‐level
executives
reaches
INR
1.5-­‐3
crore,
while
last
year
employees
with
8-­‐14
years
of
experience
got
INR
35-­‐50
lakhs
per
year.

per

plans
to
raise

Veggykart.com,
an
online
grocery
service
provider
is
planning
to
raise
about
INR
26
crore.
The
company
which
started
operations
two
months
ago
with
a
funding
of
around
INR

crore
currently
provides
services
in
Gurgaon.
It
aims
at
processing
2,000
orders
per
day
once
it
starts
operations
in
the
Delhi-­‐NCR
region.
Once
the
market
place
is
set
up,
all
the
urgent
and
same
day
deliveries
will
be
handled
by
the
partner
retailers
while
the
next
day
deliveries
will
be
done
by
Veggykart.com.
