3. I decided to write the models name and make it bold at the top in order to let my readers know who they are reading about. My model is taking up the whole A4 side, and I have edited the picture by making him stand out more from the background. I have included an interview with the model. I used the grid on Photoshop in order to make sure my body text flows in the right direction and is aligned together. After looking at the first draft, I decided to add the black bar at the top to follow conventions of my front cover and contents page. This also made the double page spread look better. I then fixed up the models name so that it was the same size, and added a light blue backdrop to make it stand out even more. I moved the quote to the bottom so that people can be interested in what the model has to say, after reading the interview.
4. After the second draft, I saw more faults. As part of my masthead, I added “exclusive interview with:” in a white font against the black border to attract my readers and in order to let them know what the double page spread includes. The font I used was a free hand grunge-type font and this made it stand out. The pull quote made the bottom part of the page look quite empty so I stretched it out in order to take up the space. I also changed the sizes of the font to make it more visually interesting for example the word “TOP” is size 70pt compared to the rest of the quote which is smaller. Lastly, I added a caption on the top right to let my readers understand who and what is in the picture. I added a line under my masthead to give a small introduction about what the page will be about, and who the model is in case people are not aware of him. I also added a page number on the right as it should be on both sides.
