2. Web-series Research
• Looked at a number
of Web-series online.
• saw that there were a
lot of re occurring
themes throughout.
• One of the main
aspects of the Series
was comedy.
3. Advantages of online
blogging
• Keeps a neat
record of my
research
• Easily accessible
if i needed to do
work at home or
on a different
computer
• In chronological
order to show
my research trail
4. Teams and organisation
• We were first as a whole
class, but we were
eventually organised into 2
groups.
• Other groups was called
Detention Deficit, ours was
called Lines.
• We were assigned roles
within our team to stick to
throughout the project.
5. My Jobs
• My job within that group
was Editor.
• I chose that role because I
thought I could do it with
the best of my abilities.
• I also helped with the story
boarding and planning of
the shots.
• I also helped setup the set.
6. Planning the show
• We came up with the
initial plan of a
classroom detention
scene as a class.
• Planned and
auditioned a willing
cast for the show.
• I made planned the
title sequence to be
shot the same day as
first episode.
7. Episode 1
• Main idea for this
episode was to
introduce the
characters.
• Detention scene.
• flashback of characters
backstory.
• Just basically setting
the scene for the other
2 episodes.
8. Audience Feedback
Episode 1
• Main Issues from our
feedback was that the
sound was too quite.
• they thought maybe
the actors could have
been a little more
enthusiastic when on
camera.
• In all the basically said
it looked rushed.
9. Planning for Episodes 2
&3
• Using the initial feedback we received
from our first Episode we were able to
rectify some of our mistakes.
• we used a better microphone so the
sound was better.
• we made sure all our actors knew the
script and we had a run through off
camera to see there acting and suggested
improvements.
• Filmed both episodes in 1 week to meet
our deadline.
10. Final Audience Feedback
• Final Feedback was:
• Sound issue
addressed, a lot
clearer.
• strange narrative
doesn't seem to go
anywhere.
• Editing improved a lot
from the first one,
clearer cuts and better
shots.
11. Reflections
• I thought the three episodes met the initial
project brief.
• planning could have gone better, taken more
time to plan each shoot rather then sort of
winging it.
• better communication needed between the
group so we all know what we have to do
clearly.
• though we did get each episode out on time
and met all deadlines which was good.
