2. The font of the magazine is Black, white and blue. When associated with them colours we tend to think of calm, cool colours, also a sign of peace. The model’s on the front page implies danger with the rottweilers but also shows a glamorous side as they models are dressed up in evening wear. The girls are holding hands which show they have a close relationship, and we know this as they are stated as sisters at the bottom of the page. The sisters of sin, suggest the danger they have, this appeals to the target audience, with a wide variety of the audience believing they are a “rude boy” typical rebel behaviour with danger intentions. The copy ‘exclusive’ signifies importance’s as it’s seen as a one of a kind and being rare. It stands out on the black background with the white coloured text so it’s easier to read and can be eye-catching for the audience. The text of the artists which are featured in the magazine have moulded around the models, so they models are the main attracting which stand out the most on the magazine. However, the artists name do stand out as they coloured white and blue, sticking to the theme colour but also create a massive affect on the black background.
3. I decided on a faded background of a silver to white colour. I decided on this as its bright, and the other images and copy on my contents stand out really well on the background. My model is wearing a purple coat with a plain white t-shirt, I wanted to have him matching with my theme of the blue, white, purple and black. He is posing in a very opening way, this suggests to the reader to carry on opening the magazine as it’s a warm and welcoming. I decided to add an inspirational quote, to help engage with my readers. This quote is an inside piece of information informing the audience what is featured in the story based behind the picture of the model. This quote many aspiring artists can relate to which attracts the readers attention. I added a light grey border, and decided to keep it quite simple. The border makes the copy look professional and quite sleek. I added a box named “BEATS EXCLUSIVES” ‘exclusive’ signifies importance’s as it’s seen as a one of a kind and being rare I added the numbers in a colour, to make my copy look more fun, young and fresh. This appeals to my target audience as they are young as well. The colours also stand out against the white and grey background, and give a bright, full affect.
4. The girls are wearing white and red dresses. Red connatate’s outgoing, dangerous and gives the sinner look. White connatate’s purity, innocence and gives the saint look. I kept to the red, and black death text to show the danger throughout the interview. This was a good colour scheme as it relates to my images but also makes it like bright, and fun appealing to my audience. I decided to bold my interview question. This is so my copy stands out, also this looks professional, where it is quite clear and simple to read. I added another image of the models, and shaped the text around them, this is so the audience know the images are the most important part of the production. I added a white border to connect both pages, and inform the audience that the picture on the left and the text on the right are linked together, also it relates back to my idea of a “flowing” magazine. I had the border white, which is a nice calm colour but noticeable enough to separate the page.
