X-Solutions Ltd offers a list of services for clients to choose from, depending on their particular needs. These
include; business and marketing plan preparation, financial and operational re-engineering, IT consulting
services, management development and consultancy including company valuation, human resources advising,
research, among others.
Market:
The business consulting industry in Ghana is very fragmented dominated by four large multinational companies
while many smaller (and often more specialized) firms occupy different market niches. The major management
consulting companies - Deloitte & Touche, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and KPMG - have
established their dominant position by providing general range of services to the leading companies in various
industries. Their consulting practices have established worldwide presence and sell their packaged services to
companies of different sizes and industries.
However, there is another market segment largely untapped by the major firms – micro, small and medium
enterprises, i.e. the SME sector. Figures from the Registrar General’s Department indicate that about 90% of
registered companies are micro, small and medium enterprises. Data from the Social Security & National
Insurance Trust (SSNIT) also indicates that, by size classifications, the Ghanaian private sector is highly skewed,

2. with 90% of companies employing less than 50 persons, and a small number of large-scale enterprises. These
small to medium companies usually have fixed assets ranging between US$10,000 to US$1,000,000. This target
group has been identified as the catalyst for the economic growth of the country as they are a major source of
income and employment.
Target Market:
Several firms and individual business consultants have established in the market niches that bigger players
consider unprofitable to enter.
X-Solutions will have a primary focus on start-up businesses, preferably in the earlier stages of operation, and
medium-sized businesses as it expands its reach to larger and well established companies and also into the
public sector where it will bring its skill to bear in their operations.
Another key identified target market is Ghanaians living outside the country with intentions of making some
investments in the country. Too often, after such persons have been outside the country for a long while,
require assistance in starting business as they are not quite conversant with the processes and peculiar styles
of operations ‘back home in Ghana’.
Business Strategy:
X-Solutions intends to stay on the pulse of new business activity through business contacts, referrals from
among the group, and internet marketing to attract new clients.
