2. Prop Description
The props will be spirit bottles and beer cans and bottle and
some of these props will have the appearance of looking
used as the bottles will have the caps taken off although the
appearance of fresh alcohol bottles and can will still have
the caps on the bottles and they wont be opened.These
props will be used in my music video sequence because one
of the location is a friends house party and having alcohol
everywhere will help set the scene of a gathering/party.The
main characters that will use these props are the main male
and female when they first meet as they drink alcohol.
These props will be used in the first section of the music
video and in some of the flashbacks.The alcohol bottles that
will be used will be branded spirits and beers such as,Vodka,
Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort, Sours, Cactus Jacks,
Malibu,Archers, Carlsberg,Coors light, Budweiser,
Somersby, Kopparberg,StellaArtois, Heinick.All of the
drinks that I've stated will be used in the music video as a
young audience can relate to drinking different beverages
as teenagers will drink different liquors to see which one is
the strongest in order to get them more drunk.
3. Prop Description
This prop will be used when the main
male and female use alcohol to pour into
this prop.This prop will be used in my
sequence to set the scene of a
party/gathering and a young audience
can relater to this prop as its used so
glasses don’t get smashed and this prop
is easily recyclable. In my music video
this prop will be seen at the beginning
and in the flashback of my music video.
4. Prop Description
This prop will be used as it’s the bag of
the main male character and these types
of bags are seen as trendy for boys, the
main male character will hold this prop at
the beginning of the music video when
he's arguing with his girlfriend.This prop
is important in the scene as bags are used
to hold luggage and because the main
male is in a school environment the bag is
used to show that its holding his school
equipment.The colour of the sports bag
is grey and navy and this will be used as
the colour of the sports bag looks stylish
to carry around when at school. I've
chosen a subtle coloured bag as it doesn’t
overpower the music video.
5. Prop Description
This prop is a handbag and its used main girl at
the beginning of the my music video she is
holding the handbag to resemble that this prop is
holding her school equipment.This prop will be
used as it will be on the cast members shoulder,
the character that will be using this handbag as a
prop will be the main female role whose called
Charlotte Crawshaw .This prop will be used at
the beginning of the music video in the school
corridor and in some of the flashbacks of her and
her boyfriend in the casino, bumper carts and on
the bench. This prop is important as every
teenager and young adult uses a hand bag to
carry around with them.This bag will be used as
it’s a relatable prop for a young female aged
audience as its trendy and the cream colour of
the bag goes with any clothing or coat as it’s a
neutral colour .
6. Prop Description
This coffee table will be used as a prop to
set the scene of the living room location,
this prop will be used to hold the alcohol
to the scenery looks more like a
gathering.The main male and female will
use this prop to place and pick up their
alcohol beverages of from the table,
throughout the music video this prop will
be seen within the flashbacks in the
narrative part of the music video.This
coffee table is Important as it will help set
the scene of the location
7. Prop Description
This prop will be used in the performance part of the music video as
its used to show how the band is playing a instrument along to the
songs lyrics.The prop will be used in my music video sequence as I
will video a band member strumming the guitar string along to the
song, as I will be videoing how this instrument is played and whose
playing this instrument I will video this instrument and the band
member from different angles so the audience can see how its
played from different aspects.The cast member that will use this
prop will be Liam Hemming’s and Lewis Robinson as they already
know how to play the guitar.The guitar that will be used is a the one
seen in the picture as it looks modern and a male teenage audience
that play musical instruments will be able to relate to a electric
guitar.The colour of the electric guitar that will be used will be black
as this looks more retro and traditional to viewers and this goes with
the music videos genre codes and conventions of looking alternative
as it’s simple and less expensive but not in your face and a subtle
coloured guitar.
8. Prop Description
This prop will be used in the performance part
of my music video as I will video the band
playing different instruments. This prop will be
used in my music video as I will video Alex
playing this instrument along to the songs
beat and rhythm.This prop will be seen
throughout parts of the music video after
flashbacks and when their instrumental solos
for the drums and guitar.This prop is seen as
particularly important as a lot of bands use
drums to make a beat and rhythm along to
showing this instrument in the video will help
the audience understand how this prop is used
and why.
9. Prop Description
This prop will be used along with the
drums in the performance part of my
music video as this prop is used to make
hit and make sound on the drums.The
appearance of this prop will be seen in
close up angled shots and this prop will
look wooden in the band members hand.
This prop will be seen throughout
majority of the music video as its used
along with the drums to make sound, in
addition this the prop is important
because without drum sticks the band
member Alex wouldn’t be able to make
sound on the drums without them.
10. Prop Description
This prop is used within the performance part
of my music video as the lead singer Lewis
Mitchel will sing/mime along to my chosen
songs lyrics.This prop will be used as the band
member will sing into the microphone of the
stand, the microphone stand is used to ensure
that the microphone is steady and so the artist
can have the option to hold the microphone.
This prop will be seen throughout the
performance part of the music video when
theirs lyrical content.This microphone is
important as it helps the performance part of
the music video look more realistic for audience
member's if they have instrumental props.
