caught sight of her in the farmyard and his mouth began to water. Before Redfeathers knew what
was happening, she found herself snapped up and inside a sack, not even able to call her for help.
Luckily for her, her friend the dove saw what happened. She fluttered on the path in the woods,
pretending to have a broken wing. The fox was delighted to find that he then had a first course as
well as the main dish. He put down the sack with the hen in it, and chased off after the dove. The
dove cleverly hopped further and further away.
Redfeathers slipped out of the sack and put a stone in her place, then she ran away. When the
dove saw that her friend was safe, she flew away for free. The fox then went back and picked up
the sack, thinking that the hen was still in it. When he got home, the fox tipped the sack into a pot
of boiling water that his wife had prepared, but the stone splashed it all over him, and he burned
his greedy paws.

This name is taken from its skin characteristics which is similar with “duri” or thorn. Its famous name is
king of fruit. Durian is a controversial fruit because many people like it but many of them hate its smell.
Because of the strong smell of it, and it tends to smell rotten, some transportation companies forbid people
bring durian, for example in the plane, public transportation or into the hotel. However, many people still
like durian. Durian is quite expensive.
Durian has various kinds. There are 20 species of durian in Indonesia. Nine of them can be eaten. Durian
fruit is eaten when it is in the fresh condition. In general this fruit is sweet and very nutritious because it
consists of carbohydrate, fat, protein, and mineral.
In the harvest season of durian, this fruit is everywhere, especially in its production centre region.
Traditionally, the flesh of the fruit can be cooked with sugar and it becomes “lempok or dodol” or it can be
fermented to be tempoyak. The taste of tempoyak is sour and it is usually eaten with sambal or to be
additional ingredient to cook fish.
Sometimes, durian can be mixed with other traditional cake ingredients like gelamai or jenang. It is also

eggs, fish, some canned food, mineral water and biscuits.
On the first day, we set up the tents and cooked food for our lunch. After taking a rest for a
while, we walked around to see the surrounding area. The scenery was very beautiful. The
weather was cold all day long so we had to wear thick jackets. We inhaled fresh air which we
hardly got in town. We all were very happy.
In the evening, we had dinner together.
We had hot lemon tea and boiled noodles. After that, we made a camp fire. We played guitar
and sang songs together. We did enjoy our good time that night.
On the second day, we went tracking until 11 a.m. after having lunch and taking a rest,we
had competitions, such as tug-of-war, futsal, and a guessing game. Unfortunately, my team lost
in the futsal. Then, in the evening, we performed some dramas.
On the third day, we packed our stuff and went home. We planned to have another camp

This name is taken from its skin characteristics which is similar with “duri” or thorn. Its famous name is king of fruit. Durian is a controversial fruit because many people like it but many of them hate its smell. Because of the strong smell of it, and it tends to smell rotten, some transportation companies forbid people bring durian, for example in the plane, public transportation or into the hotel. However, many people still like durian. Durian is quite expensive. Durian has various kinds. There are 20 species of durian in Indonesia. Nine of them can be eaten. Durian fruit is eaten when it is in the fresh condition. In general this fruit is sweet and very nutritious because it consists of carbohydrate, fat, protein, and mineral. In the harvest season of durian, this fruit is everywhere, especially in its production centre region. Traditionally, the flesh of the fruit can be cooked with sugar and it becomes “lempok or dodol” or it can be fermented to be tempoyak. The taste of tempoyak is sour and it is usually eaten with sambal or to be additional ingredient to cook fish. Sometimes, durian can be mixed with other traditional cake ingredients like gelamai or jenang. It is also mixed in the dessert with glutinous rice. In this modern era, the taste of durian is also added in candy, ice cream, milk, and other kind of fresh drink.
