1. DAFFODILS
Daffodils, written in 1804, is a text characterized by the relationship
between man and Nature throught the concept of poetry as a reminder
of a vivid emotion.
The text is based on an autobiographical experience during a walk in the
countryside with his sister Dorothy during which the poet is faced with an
expanse of daffodils along a lake.
Poetry is a perfect example of those "emotions recollected in tranquility",
in fact he does not describe the moment when he saw the daffodils, but
the memory of that moment.
This poem is rich of visual imagery used to exalted the appreciation of
nature by the poet.
The speaker metaphorically compares himself to the clouds, creating a
sense of isolation from the rest of the world.
The poem is lively (vivace) and active. There are many personification that
creat contrasts with the emotion cited.
