I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:
● state their ideas based on the video they watched
● use the correct preposition in a sentence
● construct sentences using prepositions

A.) Motivation
Video clip about Prepositions
2. After viewing the video, ask the student of the following question:
● What have you observed about the pictures or images being presented in
the video?
● How do you give direction to someone or to others?
B.) Presentation of the Lesson
● What possible preposition of place can be used to construct sentences using the
pictures or images presented in the video?
● Introduce to them the preposition of place.
● Give an example.
Ex. The cat is on the pillow.
● Show to the class the common list of preposition of place.
● Then, the teacher will give an example in each of the preposition of place.
● Later on, the teacher will asked the students to make a sentence using the
preposition of place.
C.) Abstraction
A preposition of place is a preposition which is used to refer to a place where
something or someone is located. There are only three prepositions of place, however
they can be used to discuss an almost endless number of places.
At - A preposition of place which is used to discuss a certain point
In - A preposition of place which is used to discuss an enclosed space
On - A preoposition of time which is used to discuss a surface
3. D.) Application
Ask the students what have they understand today.
● What is preposition of place?
● What are the three prepositions we had discussed.
E.) Assessment
The teacher will post sentences and students will determine if the preposition
of place used is correct.
F.) Assignment
At the end of the class, give students an activity to be answered at home to
assess them if they understand the lesson well.
Choose any pictures on the internet, print it out or any cut out pictures from a
magazine and then give an example of sentences using preposition of place out
of the picture chosen. Put it in a short bond paper, handwritten. To be passed
tomorrow.
