Or do you not know that wrongdoers will
not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not
be deceived: Neither the sexually
immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor
men who have sex with men nor thieves
nor the greedy nor drunkards nor
slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the
kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
And that is what some of you were. But
you were washed, you were sanctified,
you were justified in the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of
1 Corinthians 6:11
Since we have now been justified by his
blood, how much more shall we be
saved from God’s wrath through him!
The Lord said to Moses and
Aaron: “This is a requirement of the law
that the Lord has commanded: Tell the
Israelites to bring you a red heifer
without defect or blemish and that has
never been under a yoke.
Give it to Eleazar the priest; it is to be
taken outside the camp and slaughtered
in his presence. Then Eleazar the priest
is to take some of its blood on his finger
and sprinkle it seven times toward the
front of the Tent of Meeting. While he
watches, the heifer is to be burned.
After that, the priest must wash his
clothes and bathe himself with water.
The man who burns it must also wash his
clothes and bathe with water,
“A man who is clean shall gather up the
ashes of the heifer and put them in a
ceremonially clean place outside the
camp. They are to be kept by the Israelite
community for use in the water of
cleansing; it is for purification from sin.
and this water symbolizes baptism that
now saves you also—not the removal of
dirt from the body but the pledge of a
clear conscience toward God.
1 Peter 3:21
only the high priest entered the
inner room, and that only once a
year, and never without blood,
which he offered for himself and
for the sins the people had
committed in ignorance.
But when Christ came as high priest
of the good things that are now
already here, he went through the
greater and more perfect tabernacle
that is not made with human hands,
that is to say, is not a part of this
He did not enter by means of the
blood of goats and calves; but he
entered the Most Holy Place once for
all by his own blood, thus obtaining
The blood of goats and bulls and the
ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those
who are ceremonially unclean

How much more, then, will the blood
of Christ, who through the eternal
Spirit offered himself unblemished
to God, cleanse our consciences
from acts that lead to death, so that
we may serve the living God!
For this reason Christ is the
mediator of a new covenant, that
those who are called may receive the
promised eternal inheritance—now
that he has died as a ransom to set
them free from the sins committed
under the first covenant.
Therefore, brothers and sisters,
since we have confidence to enter
the Most Holy Place by the blood of
Jesus by a new and living way
opened for us through the curtain,
that is, his body, and since we have
a great priest over the house of God,
let us draw near to God with a
sincere heart and with the full
assurance that faith brings, having
our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us
from a guilty conscience and having
our bodies washed with pure water.
The high priest carries the blood of
animals into the Most Holy Place as
a sin offering, but the bodies are
burned outside the camp.
And so Jesus also suffered outside
the city gate to make the people holy
through his own blood.
Now may the God of peace, who
through the blood of the eternal
covenant brought back from the
dead our Lord Jesus,
But now in Christ Jesus you who once
were far away have been brought near
by the blood of Christ.
who have been chosen according to the
foreknowledge of God the Father,
through the sanctifying work of the
Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and
sprinkled with his blood:
1 Peter 1:2
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the
light, we have fellowship with one
another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son,
purifies us from all sin.
1 John 1:7
Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness,
the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler
of the kings of the earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us
from our sins by his blood,
In him we have redemption through his
blood, the forgiveness of sins, in
accordance with the riches of God’s
“Repent and be baptized, every one of
you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the
forgiveness of your sins. And you will
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
