3. Lesson Learned I learned that in one month a recycled aluminum can could be back on the shelf as a new one. Also that every ton of recycled paper can save 17 trees 7,000 gallons of water and 4,000 kilowatts of electricity. Paper products make up the largest part of our trash(40 percent). Every day businesses make enough paper to circle the earth 20 times. Every Sunday Americans waste 90 percent of recycled paper this wastes 500,000 trees.
4. Spreading the Word I will spread the word by… 1.Make a commercial saying to recycle 2.Hand out colorful flyers and posters to recycle(@ walmart) 3.Organize a program for little kids to play games that involve recycling
5. Pledge I pledge to: stop putting newspapers into the garbage every Sunday. I will encourage my friends to recycle. Then I can do crafts from the newspaper instead of making ones with a lot of trash left over.
