2. On Day 1 of the Regional Higher Education
Summit attended by more than 500
participants at The Oriental Hotel, Legazpi
City, November 14-15, 2013, CHED V
conceptualized then announced that there
would be a Regional Simultaneous Fun
Run as fund-raising campaign for the
victims of Supertyphoon Yolanda.

5. • Hence, subsequent to preliminary
meetings, CHED RO V issued CHED
Regional Memorandum No. 169, s. 2013,
entitled “CHED-BFHE Regional Fun Run,
dubbed as “Dalagan… Tabang sa mga
Biktima ni ‘Yolanda’ ”, December 15,
2013, 5:30am”.
8. Cluster Heads were assigned per
province to coordinate with other HEls
in their respective areas. They were
tasked to have their cluster’s own
initiative, decision and strategy on
how the fun-run could be successful
and attain its purpose.
9. Registration fee:
per student - P100.00 for the bib;
other participants (administrators,
teachers, enthusiasts, etc.) - P200.00
13. • The number of participating students
was submitted to CHED to determine
the number of bibs and corresponding
race numbers.
• Registration Form and Waiver were
e-mailed to each cluster for
reproduction and distribution to the
participants.
