How astrology works in human life
http://www.findyourfate.com/
How does astrology work in human life? The same way that your TV or radio works, by the transmission
and reception of electromagnetic currents and energy waves. As a being made up of stardust and
water, you are a transmitter/receiver of energy waves and particles, a living, breathing mini-radio
station with your own personal frequency! As a resident of planet Earth, you are bathed in cosmic rays,
bombarded by cosmic particles 24/7. This cosmic energy enters and leaves your body through seven
cosmic portals called the seven chakras. You digest and transform this energy in your own personal way,
through your thoughts and actions as focused through the psychic blueprint of your life called a
horoscope. A horoscope is a diagram of the stars and planets above at the moment of your birth on
Earth below. It is often referred to as the blueprint or map of the soul.

The science and art of astrology is based on observation and measurement. Over the millennia, human
beings have observed the Sun, Moon, stars and planets, measured their movements in the celestial
dome, and correlated their movements with events on Earth in accordance with the Hermetic Law of
Correspondence, As Above So Below. In other words, measurements and observation of celestial
activity are used to study how the powerful, but largely unperceived, forces around us affect human
consciousness and experience on earth. This is accomplished by viewing heavenly bodies as symbols
combined with observation of actual events. The symbols are based on the qualities and attributes of
the celestial entity they represent, as well as the personal interpretation ascribed by human beings as
revealed to us through the tradition of mythology inherited from our ancestors. For example, Jupiter,
God of Plenty to the Greeks, symbolizes expansion, enthusiasm and abundance. This is, in part, based
on the fact that Jupiter is like a mini-star, second only to the Sun, and the only planet in the Solar System
to emit more energy than it absorbs, i.e., it gives more than it takes. As the most massive planet in our
Solar System, Jupiter acts as an anchor/stabilizer, centering our entire Solar System, as well as deflecting
incoming asteroids and other large projectiles that are drawn into our Solar System’s gravitational force
field. Imagine what would have happened to Earth if Jupiter had not taken the impact of Comet
Schumacher-Levy 9 in 1994! Jupiter, Zeus, is the God of Good Fortune!

We do not perceive most of the rays and particles that affect us because we focus on the realities of
daily existence and the infinite possibilities of creation afforded by having a physical form. This distracts
us from perceiving the more subtle aspects of incarnation, but, we are still affected by all of the subtle
and powerful forces around us, seen and unseen. An easy way to illustrate how celestial energies affect
human beings is to observe the weather as a component of the celestial sphere. The Sun’s rays are
easily seen and felt. Without them, life in this Solar System would not exist. Emotions are undisputedly
affected by the weather which, at a minimum, is based on complex interactions of the Sun, Moon and
Earth. Almost everyone has experienced the exuberance of a sunny spring day or the depressed low-
energy feeling of a rainy day. The appearance or absence of the Sun in the sky has a dramatic effect on
human emotions. Besides pulling the tides, the Moon also has a direct connection with emotions –
women are especially sensitive to its influence, but everyone responds to the Moon’s cycles. It is a
statistical fact that more arrests occur when the Moon is full. It is a medical fact that patients bleed
more heavily when the Moon is full. Savvy surgeons do not perform surgery on or about the Full Moon.

All of the planets affect people in ways similar to that of the Sun and Moon. Just as the Sun affects
Earth’s atmosphere, and shifts in the Earth’s crust occur in response to planetary alignments, so is the
human aura or energy field affected by planetary rays. The planets have their own rays, each with its
own unique effects. Jupiter represents expansion and enthusiasm; Saturn, limitation, restriction,
caution and introspection; Venus, artistic and musical activities and sensuality; Mars, action, drive and
aggression; Mercury, mental processes and all kinds of communication; Uranus, the unexpected, sudden
change and rebellion; Neptune, sneakiness, deception, but also higher mystical insight and transcendent
love; last of all, mysterious Pluto has, on one hand, sinister connotations of the underworld and violent
upheaval, but on the other hand, transforms the higher ideals stimulated by Neptune into form. Pluto is
responsible for deep, subconscious urges. Pluto, the “deepest,” i.e., farthest planet in our solar system
is the doorway to the stars. Pluto represents the final step in enlightenment. On the more sinister side,
Pluto may be responsible for the next planetary collision – it has an extremely eccentric orbit and comes
very close to Neptune at times. This is a very basic explanation of how astrology works, but it will
hopefully give you a rough idea of basic planetary symbolism.

The following vivid and imaginative quotation gives a mystical account of how the planets’ rays work:
“Imagine the great heavenly bodies, stars and planets alike, ensouled by living Beings of inconceivable
force and majesty and beauty. Imagine, emanating from each of these living centres, vital currents
which ripple though space. Imagine these currents, which represent the life-essence of each of these
mysterious stellar and planetary existences, radiating from them as mighty waves of color and sound,
which although beyond the power of human sense to apprehend, nevertheless influence every particle
and atom which they contact, every psychic and spiritual factor of Man’s being.” (David Anrias, Man and
the Zodiac, 1970, Samuel Weiser, Inc., P. 176).

To sum it up, astrology works on the principles of electromagnetism. You are a living, breathing
transmitter/receiver of cosmic forces. You are the captain on the ship of your destiny. The study of
astrology is an awesome tool for navigation, guidance, enlightenment and self-discovery, as well as a
technique for timing activities to achieve the maximum benefit out of a given endeavor. The sacred
science of astrology has much to teach us. Astrology is great fun, too. Astrology is entertaining because
it tells a story – YOUR STORY!
