Indian indices plunged at open amid mixed global cues. Subsequently in late afternoon deals, benchmarks surpassed
previous close to end marginally up ahead of outcome of US Fed meet. Among BSE sectorial, Consumer Durables was
the top performer whereas Auto was the laggard.
On global front, US and European markets traded in positive terrain whereas Asian indices were marginally down
except Nikkei, which gained more than a percent.
Back home, Government panel headed by economic affairs Secretary Arvind Mayaram recommended 100% FDI in
telecom & aviation sectors. Additionally, the panel suggested raising the ceiling to 49% in the defense sector and 74%
in multi brand retail. (News)
Among stock specific actions, Reddy’s Laboratories dipped 1.55% on BSE as the company is sued by AbbVie Inc, for
allegedly encroaching patented drug Zemplar on six counts concerning three patents.
Infinite Computer Solutions surged 5.06% on BSE as the company has launched its cloud-based solution of Enterprise
Messaging Service (EMS) in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market. The company will also start its buy back offer from June

Vakrangee Software climbed 4.81% to make fresh 52 week high at Rs 79.85 on BSE after company said that its
promoters increased stake in the company by acquiring 4.53% shares of the company.
The market breadth on the BSE closed in positive. Advancing and declining stocks were 1291 and 1134 respectively,
while 146 scrips remained unmoved.
The S&P BSE Sensex ended at 19245.70, up 22.42 points or 0.12%. The 30 share index touched a high and a low of
19274.26 and 19100.13 respectively. 15 stocks advanced against 15 declining ones on the benchmark index.
The CNX Nifty gained 8.65 points or 0.15% to settle at 5822.25. The index touched high and low of 5828.40 and
5777.90 respectively. 27 stocks advanced against 23 declining ones on the index.

The S&P BSE Mid-cap index moved up to 6235.79 and gained 0.53% while S&P BSE Small-cap index jumped up by
0.50% to 5838.77.
The broader S&P BSE 500 index increased to 7238.94 (up 0.27%) and CNX 500 index rose to 4552.70 (up 0.26%).
The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX gained 0.93% at 18.46 from its previous close of 18.29 on Tuesday.

On the BSE Sectorial front, Consumer Durables (up 1.96%), Metals (up 1.28%) and Real Estate (up 0.58%) were the
top gainers.
Automobile (down 0.67%), Power (down 0.59%) and Healthcare (down 0.29%) were the top losers.

Bharti Airtel Ltd (up 2.83%), Hindalco Industries Ltd (up 2.66%), Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd (up 2.65%), Jindal Steel
and Power Ltd (up 2.52%) and Tata Steel Ltd (up 2.05%) were the top gainers on the Sensex.
Tata Motors Ltd (down 1.80%), Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd (down 1.55%), NTPC Ltd (down 1.39%), Tata
Consultancy Services Ltd (down 1.33%) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd (down 1.26%) were the top losers on the Sensex.
