Indian indices started jittery ahead of RBI credit policy today. After cris-crossing previous closing mark several times,
markets decisively moved in green zone post RBI's announcement of maintaining status quo on key policy rates. Thus
CRR remains at 4% and repo rate stands at 7.25%. Nifty surged to 5850 mark and Sensex added over 140 points at
the close. On sectorial front, Auto sector topped the charts.
Globally, all the markets were trading in positive terrain.
Back home,India’s trade deficit in May FY13 widened to $20.1 billion from $17.8 billion a month ago on the back of
high imports of cheaper gold. On the other hand, exports for May 2013 plunged by 1.1% to $ 24.51 billion as against $
24.77 billion in corresponding month of previous year. (News)
Mahindra and Mahindra was the start performer on both the frontline gauges spiking 4.43% on BSE on acquiring 51%
stake in Mahindra Sanyo Special Steel. (News)
Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals spurted 9.92% on BSE as the company has reportedly received a clean chit
from United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Irungattukottai’s facility in Chennai. (News)
Coal India shined 0.66% on BSE as the company has decided to acquire two Australian companies for over $4 billion.

Jet Airways traded choppy today after Foreign Investment promotion Board (FIPB) and market regulator SEBI have
sought clarity over deal with Etihad Airways. The stock ended 1.56% up at Rs 476.50 after making an intraday low and
high of 411.60 and 489 respectively on BSE.
Reliance Industries jumped 1.36% on BSE after domestic research house Kotak Securities upgraded the stock to
“add” from “reduce” with a target price of Rs 870 per share.
The market breadth on the BSE closed in positive. Advancing and declining stocks were 1248 and 1117 respectively,
while 139 scrips remained unmoved.
The S&P BSE Sensex ended at 19325.87, up 147.94 points or 0.77%. The 30 share index touched a high and a low
of 19344.28 and 19084.68 respectively. 23 stocks advanced against 7 declining ones on the benchmark index.
The CNX Nifty gained 41.65 points or 0.72% to settle at 5850.05. The index touched high and low of 5854.90 and
5770.25 respectively. 36 stocks advanced against 14 declining ones on the index.
S&P BSE Sensex CNX Nifty
The S&P BSE Mid-cap index moved up to 6201.25 and gained 0.33% while S&P BSE Small-cap index jumped up by
0.39% to 5795.22.
The broader S&P BSE 500 index increased to 7242.83 (up 0.69%) and CNX 500 index rose to 4557.50 (up 0.70%).
The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX lost 0.93% at 18.18 from its previous close of 18.35 on Friday.
Sectors in action
On the BSE Sectorial front, Automobile (up 1.90%), Capital Goods (up 1.15%) and Consumer Durables (up 1.02%)
were the top gainers.
Metals (down 0.13%) was the top loser.
The Angels and the Devils
Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd (up 4.43%), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (up 3.37%), Bharti Airtel Ltd (up 2.53%), Bajaj
Auto Ltd (up 2.50%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (up 2.20%) were the top gainers on the Sensex.
Hindalco Industries Ltd (down 1.64%), Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd (down 1.38%), GAIL (India) Ltd (down 0.98%),
Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd (down 0.90%) and NTPC Ltd (down 0.86%) were the top losers on the Sensex.

2. Benchmark Drivers
Reliance Industries Ltd (23.51 points), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd (22.99 points), Housing Development Finance
Corporation Ltd (17.51 points), Infosys Ltd (15.39 points) and Bharti Airtel Ltd (11.55 points) were the major Sensex
drivers today.
On the other end Reliance Industries Ltd (5.82 points), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd (5.57 points), Housing
Development Finance Corporation Ltd (4.13 points), Infosys Ltd (4.05 points) and Bharti Airtel Ltd (2.61 points) were
the major Nifty movers today.
Pivot, Supports and Resistance Levels
CNX Nifty is now pivoted at 5825 for next session. The next support is at 5795 and on upside it has a resistance at
5880 levels.
