1. In what ways does your music magazine use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real music magazines?
My magazine uses conventions of a real magazine in many ways. On the front page of my magazine it has a barcode, a competition to enter and the price, these are all common things that real music magazines consist of. My double page spread also consists of common things in which real magazines do, the lay out of my double spread is a common way of displaying a double page spread in real magazines, leaving on page for the image and the other for the article.
I believe my magazine has developed from real music magazines as it has focused on the female audience. Most real magazines are rather masculine and they concentrate on what the male gender would like to see in a music magazine, however my magazine has done the opposite to this and has concentrated on what the female gender would like to see. I believe this has also challenged forms of real music magazines as I’ve done something unusual that isn’t commonly done.
How does your magazine represent different social groups?
My magazine I believe represents all social groups as the prize is not to high there for all social groups would be able to afford it.
The main reason my magazine represent different social groups is the two main articles in there are about to very different genre categories. Desired is a pop band and Tayla O’Hara is a upcoming rock star. This shows that different social classes that prefer different types of music will be able to find something they like as my magazine consists of a variety of different music.
