1. Dear Parents,
Our mission as a school is to train students academically, spiritually, and socially for God’s call on their lives. We believe that there is
tremendous leadership potential in our lower school students at LCA, and we want to be intentional about creating opportunities for students to
begin developing leadership skills including responsibility, service, and accountability. Students who are accepted into leadership academy will
not only have opportunities to lead but will also have opportunities to learn from leaders. Each trimester, there will be a Leadership Academy
activity where the students will have the opportunity to hear from some of our leaders on campus and in our community. Our final activity will
include an off campus leadership based field trip.
Following the Biblical example of servant leadership, we have the following leadership opportunities for our 4th and 5th grade students:
Climb Worship Leaders:
These Students must be enrolled in 5th grade and will have the opportunity to lead worship each week in Climb for both 3rd-5th grade and
PreK-2nd grade. Students interested in applying should have a heart for worship and a love for their peers.
Student Patrols
These students can be enrolled in 4th or 5th grade and serve during afternoon carpool. Students interested in applying should have an
understanding of the importance of getting students safely from school, a love for their fellow students, self-control, and a bright smile and
friendly demeanor. They will be a student representative and the face of LCA to both students and parents.
If your student is interested in serving their community while receiving leadership training, please have them fill out the following application
and turn it in at the front desk in the Lodge or in the LS Office in the Village no later than Friday, May 4 by 8:30 a.m. Since student
responsibility is one of our primary qualifications for the Leadership Academy, we will not be able to accept late applications.
Most sincerely,
Mrs. McCaulley and the LS Team
