Purpose: Why has the subject been chosen?
Emotion: What are the feelings expressed?
Craftsmanship: How the poem is written
Structure: the way it is set out
Language: formal, slang, emotive, descriptive,
informative.
Imagery: word pictures, metaphors and
similes
Movement: rhythm
Sound: alliteration, rhyme, onomatopoeia
Summary: Bring all the points you have made
together and give a personal response.
