2. Break Free Productions
We used the name ‘Break Free’ because we thought that it was
similar to ‘Studio Canal’. ‘Break Free’ is a small, new and
independent production company hence the similarity with ‘Studio
Canal’.
It can further help sustain the audiences interest as the production
company sets itself apart from other well known and established
production companies e.g.: Warner Brothers. An advantage of the
small production company is that it can take on more risks ; an
example being challenging the stereotypical teen genres. Most
common teen genres are drama, horror and comedy however as our
film ‘Weirdly Connected’, contradicts the common teen genres as it is
of a Sci-Fi and Fantasy genre, it makes it appear more original and
unique, therefore the production company effectively supporting the
risk.
3. Break Free Distributor
We used the same company; ‘Break Free’ for
both the production and the distributor.
As 'Break Free’ is an independent company, it
works effectively as it helps specifically with
the genres of Sci-Fi and fantasy. Furthermore,
Break Free being best suited to distribute
‘Weirdly Connected’ because of it’s speciality
with the genres that ‘Weirdly Connected’ is
associated with.
