4. Benefits to the Student: Students who have “stage fright” or are not comfortable with speaking in front of people do not have to worry about it anymore! Students have a different way to represent themselves in the classroom. Students can have a new way to show visual aid in a project or presentation.
5. Benefits to the Teacher: Teachers have new ways to tell stories instead of the usual “story time” with a picture book. Teachers have a renovating and entertaining way to present information in the classroom. Teachers can cater more to students who are visual learners.
6. Cons to Digital Storytelling: Younger students, ESOL/ESE students, and teachers may not be familiar with digital media. Students do not have a chance to prepare for public speaking in the future. Set up for presentations may cause choppy transitions in the classroom.
