There are three types of ecological pyramids: biomass pyramid that show the amount of biomass
present ini the tropical level, number pyramid that show the number of individuals per unit area of
various trophic levels, and the energy pyramid that show the flow of energy through each trophic level.
From those pyramid, the one that ia possible to have upside down pyramid ia the biomass pyramid.
In the biomass pyramid, we can have an upside down pyramid. The example of this upside down
pyramid can be found at the aquatic ecosystem. In the aquatic, we have phytoplankton for the
producers that have small biomass. In the other hand, we found the herbivore that have bigger biomass.
Then, we found the carnivore that much bigger again. So, the pyramid that we have is upside down.
